Ahhh, thanks. Fixed it. I appreciate the quick responses. I thought it had something do with a prank or something regarding Hardy returning to TNA, but I guess not. Thanks again.

It's past and present. I'll work out all that stuff and specify whether they're still with the company in a few days. -
This Wednesday (6/23/04) we celebrate our 2nd Anniversary with a very special "Night Of Champions" PPV including three title matches. "King Of The Mountain" Jeff Jarrett defends the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship against former two time titleholder Ron "The Truth" Killings. "The Phenomenal" A.J. Styles puts his X Division Title at stake when he meets Kid Kash. America's Most Wanted defend the NWA Worlds Tag Team Championship versus Japan's Nosawa and Miyamoto. Plus, Trinity meets Desire in a Ladies Stretcher Match. Team NWA Captain Jerry Lynn finally gets Team Canada Coach Scott D'Amore in a one-on-one match. The sensational mini luchadors from Mexico will fly. Raven promises a tribute to The Sheik, Sabu's uncle. And NWA legends will be in attendance. Join us Wednesday for this special night, exclusively on PPV! We invite your questions and comments for Mike Tenay at [email protected]. Due to the heavy volume of mail, Mike cannot answer every question or reply personally. Please include your hometown and state ... and country if outside the U.S. To read previous "Ask The Professor" columns, click on "Interactive" on our homepage. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: VINNIE POPE I've been Dusty Rhodes' # 1 fan since I started watching the sport in 1975. What's his role in TNA? ANSWER: In addition to wrestling on select TNA PPV events, Dusty has been a judge on our FoxSportsNet IMPACT! shows. "The Dream" even joined Don West and I at the announce position on Friday's (6/18/04) IMPACT! when he was the latest victim of Jeff Jarrett's guitar. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: RAGE ON THE INTERNET (THE MIDWEST) What was it like to be in the movie "Ready To Rumble"? ANSWER: It was a fun experience to work with a crew that included David Arquette, Scott Caan, Oliver Platt, Rose McGowan, Martin Landau and Joe Pantoliano among others. I remember it being a very demanding schedule since we were flying in and out of Los Angeles to broadcast Nitro, Thunder and PPV events during the filming. It was an interesting homecoming for me since the wrestling scenes were all shot at L.A.'s Olympic Auditorium, the same building where I regularly attended wrestling as a fan. What you may not know is that the announcing scenes were all filmed with an empty ring. The movie's director, Brian Robbins ("Varsity Blues"), would verbally lay out a scene and I'd call the action accordingly. I also remember some interesting visitors to the set including Marilyn Manson (McGowan's boyfriend at the time), Pee Wee Herman (friend of Arquette) and Courtney Cox (obviously Arquette's wife). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: TAKERFAN I love this column! Was Mr. Aguila ever Essa Rios? ANSWER: Yes. Team AAA's Aguila wrestled as Essa Rios in the WWF. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: JEREMY PEATROSS Is it true that Christopher Daniels was injured in Japan? Will we see him again on TNA? ANSWER: Daniels injured his shoulder on 6/1/04 in a match against Katsuhiko Nakajima in Japan. Judging by Primetime's comments in a recent TV interview, The Fallen Angel should return in July or August. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: JASON M. STANLEY Has Shane Douglas officially retired as a wrestler to join the TNA broadcast team? IMPACT! is simply awesome! ANSWER: Douglas may still make an occasional in-ring appearance, but for now he's concentrating on his interviewing duties in TNA. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: MIKE HAYNES (KANSAS CITY, KANSAS) NWA TNA is now, by far, the superior product in wrestling today. I haven't missed IMPACT! yet. Petey Williams' Canadian Destroyer is the best move in the biz currently. Where has Johnny Devine been? ANSWER: Team Canada's Devine has been on a leave of absence, but Coach Scott D'Amore promises he will return soon. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: BRADLEE (FLORIDA) What is OVW? ANSWER: OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling) is the WWE's developmental promotion run by Jim Cornette. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: JOE (CLIFTON, ARIZONA) I've been a fan of your announcing for years. Will TNA PPVs ever be shown on DISH network? I love IMPACT! and wish I could enjoy seeing your PPVs as well. ANSWER: TNA recently met once again with DISH and we're hoping they add our PPVs to their line-up. Contact them directly and tell them you want your TNA ... every Wednesday on PPV! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: BYRON NICHOLS JR. I just finished watching IMPACT! and thought it was great. It's the only wrestling show my 7 year old can watch with me. Are your PPVs kid friendly? ANSWER: Yes! I truly believe that when the history of TNA is written, our association with FoxSportsNet will be recognized for it's importance in keeping the product fan and family friendly -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: JEROMEY RATLIFF (JONESBORO, ARKANSAS) I enjoy watching IMPACT! and the PPVs. I am a huge fan of A.J. Styles and I'm wondering if a DVD of his best matches will be available? ANSWER: Yes! Don West and I recently filmed the stand-ups for "Phenomenal: The Best Of A.J. Styles", a DVD which will be available very soon. Pre-Order >> -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: MIKE KERRIGAN (ORLANDO, FLORIDA) I just recently started to watch TNA and I attended the first IMPACT! taping. WHAT A SHOW!!! I couldn't believe some of Amazing Red's and Chris Sabin's moves. ANSWER: Mike's e-mail was one of over 800 that I've received in the last two weeks. Thanks to all of you for sending along your positive comments about IMPACT! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: BUEF LIGHT (KINGSPORT, TN.) What are Mil Mascaras, Buddy Rose and Colonel DeBeers doing now? ANSWER: Mascaras still wrestles in Mexico and Japan. Rose and DeBeers are both retired and living in the Pacific Northwest. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: DANIEL REED I was blown away by IMPACT! While watching an episode of RAW, I noticed ads for TNA. Does Vince McMahon own TNA as well? Is than an elaborate scheme to create WWE vs. TNA? ANSWER: No, Vince McMahon doesn't own TNA. TNA purchased ad time on RAW to introduce our product to wrestling fans.

WOOOOOOOOOOOO.........Wait just a mother f'n minute? Someone asked if CM Punk is Jeff Hardy? ::sits in silence for a minute, staring at the computer screen in awe:: Liquidate the buggard. Liquidate his ass. That's just scary. ::walks off the set to e-mail Tenay, asking if Tyson Tomko is a bulked up Giant Gonzalez:: -

Quick question: who are the "legends" that Keller speaks of, who are sitting at ringside? I mean, besides Dusty Rhodes, because Keller mentioned him.

BIG VITO~! Fuck, yes! Vito's the man! I've always liked Johnny the Bull/Stamboli more, ever since I first saw the two in WCW, but I like Vito, to. He's got a killer corkscrew implant DDT. What kinda shape did he look to be in? Is he fatter than he was in WCW? Or is he jakked pretty well? Anyway, though, TNA needs more surprises like this. You gotta be able to come into these Show Threads and see names that you had no idea were gonna show up, and read about angles you had no idea were going to develop. The shows seem to lack the vital unpredictability factor as of late.

From H2Wrestling.com: We at H2 are absolutely disgusted to announce that due to the cowardly act of another promoter, we are forced to postpone our first show until July 31, 2004 in the Boston area. A paranoid promoter took the dishonorable route of harassing the Somerville Theater until they dropped our show, and as a result we will be postponing our first show until July 31st. H2 and its promoting team worked around the clock to find a replacement but it wasn't possible at this late hour. We apologize sincerely to the fans and we will gladly refund you your money for 6/26 (email: [email protected]) or you may use these tickets as a general admission ticket for the 7/31 event where fans holding 6/26 tickets for admission will receive one free three hour DVD for their understanding of the situation. It is our number one priority to take care of all of you, and we will do so. We encourage ANYONE who has bought tickets or was even thinking of attending this weekend’s show to email us their thoughts, comments, complaints, etc. at [email protected]. WE WILL ANSWER YOU. Also you can expect a FULL STATEMENT FROM BOTH EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS COURT BAUER & TEDDY HART AS EARLY AS THIS WEEKEND WITH THEIR COMPLETE UNCENSORED THOUGHTS ON THE PEOPLE WHO CAUSED THIS SITUATION. We are absolutely committed to giving you the best show we possibly can, and we will do so. Finally, it's with great disappointment that this individual cost our crew including those in the ring and those outside of it a pay day and opportunity to give fans their monies worth, but this person will be unable to deny us this opportunity. We would also like to apologize to the 70 children and their families coming from a national charity who were invited as our special guests, as well as some special friends from some private charities for having to postpone our activities with them. We would also like to apologize to our fans on the NY bus trip as well as the fans from 8 different states and the United Kingdom who were planning on joining us June 26th. To these fans we extend our offer of a refund of your money for 6/26 (email: [email protected]) or you may use these tickets as a general admission ticket for the 7/31 event where fans holding 6/26 tickets for admission will receive one free three hour DVD for their understanding of the situation. Already, H2 has signed for 7/31 as a special bonus to our fans... "The Notorious 187" HOMICIDE and the Boston area return of SABU. We will be announcing very shortly the long-term Boston area home and location for the July 31st show at www.H2Wrestling.com. In the meantime, we encourage our fans to contact the Somerville Theater and ask them why they won’t let you see H2. Also feel free to ask who called the Theater demanding them to not allow wrestling there. We at H2 feel that you have a right to know, and a right to see the wrestling shows that YOU WANT TO SEE. We know wrestling fans are passionate, and you deserve an answer. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us as we will not lie to you or insult your intelligence. - - Speak Up - - Melvin Freeman Somerville Theater

Last Free Voice - P.S.: By a moonsault, I don't mean a top rope one. I mean a standing one, off of the ring mat. Forgot to clarify that. And ya, Joey Styles called every Jerry Lynn sitdown powerbomb a "Tigerbomb," when there doesn't sound like there's even such a thing.

I know this is about a month late, but I just came across it, and you people MUST read it. It's "M-Dogg 20" latest commentary from his tour of Big Japan, along with Nate Webb, Madman Pondo, and Zach Gowen. Josh Prohibition's commentaries are usually the best, but man did M-Dogg give J-Pro a run for his money here. This was some of the funniest stuff I've read in a LONG, LONG time. From shower stalls to steakhouses to to intro-net cafes to Saki chicks to 8 hour busrides, M-Dogg discusses it all. Just classic, classic stuff. http://mdogg20.com/commentary/commentary_2.htm My favorite line is:

Looks surprisingly good. The three-way especially.

How the heck can you even see his face. The clip is from so far away. He's just doing a knee drop. He doesn't seem to react at all to Bradshaw. I don't even know if he realized what he had done. He didn't seem to.

I don't know. I see what you mean, from one perspective, but come on - let's be happy that he at least ASKED JBL about what happened. Imagine how pissed we'd be if he didn't even mention it. At least he mentioned it...
