Dark match info for this Wednesday's PPV

A friend of mine who works TNA dark matches on a regular basis (he doesn't want me to reveal his name) told me that a friend of his, female indy wrestler Lady Victoria (no, not the same one who worked for XPW) will work a dark match before this Wednesday's PPV. The match will air on a future TNA Xplosion episode.

    Altar Boy Luke bio

For those interested, ObsessedWithWrestling.com (your #1 source for wrestler bios), has posted my bio of NWA-TNA, Wildside, and XPW star Altar Boy Luke. Learn what Luke was doing before he entered XPW, during his career there, and since it went on hiatus. Enjoy. http://www.canadianbacon.org/~oww/bios/a/a...r-boy-luke.html

What happened to all the peeps

Monty Brown worked a tag match not too long ago that featured Gangrel, Sabu, and another guy who I forget the name of. Malice also worked in XPW.

A tag team reunion in Memphis...

Guess its their allowing of WWE guys to work certain Indy shows. Ala Al Snow and Jerry Lawler (all though I'm not sure about Snow, he could have been released and I wouldn't have realised) Nah, Snow's still under contract. They also let Rhyno work the Yukon Braxton Memorial Show awhile back and Dreamer appear in ROH a few times.

A tag team reunion in Memphis...

Scottys still under WWE contract to my knowledge. Wierd. Brian has been in contact with WWE for the last few years on and off, according to the 'net rumors. He and J. Hardy are both rumored to return eventually.

    Is there a Indy promotion...

There used to be the Long Island Wrestling Federation back in like 2000, which used Da Hit Squad and the Christopher Street Connection. I dont know if the fed is still around (I saw its results in an old WOW Magazine I was reading the other day), but I recommend giving it a look too if it is. Also, go to DMOZ.org and go to the indy wrestling section of the site. You can look at official promotion sites by region so you may find another one that runs there.

The PCN Present: Freedom Fight 2003 Review....

Yeah, i've read most of the past ones, but just haven't commented untiul now, I dont' think. I'v never been a huge fan of the DVDR style, so it's prolly no surprise I'm not a big fan of this style. like I said - show sounded great, but I just wasn't too hot on the style.

The PCN Present: Freedom Fight 2003 Review....

The show sounded good, but in all honesty, I really disliked the format of using all three guys' comments. It made it really confusing. Sometimes I wasn't sure what match each guy was talking about b/c it they were dropping names from throughout the card.

    west coast tapes

XPW has their tapes at XPWrestling.com.
  13. Sonny Siaki & Elix Skipper wrestled Mike Sanders & Alan Funk in the first match on the Saturday, 9/27 Valhalla Pro Wrestling show in Helsinki, Finland. During that match, Siaki botched a splitlegged moonsault attempt by landing wrong on Funk's face and fractured several of his bones, including his orbital bone, cheek, jaw, eardrum, nose, and eye socket. He also may have a neck injury. Funk had vision in only one of his eyes well into the night of Saturday and is currently hospitalized in Helsinki. He won't be able to fly back to the U.S. for awhile until his face heals. Also on the card, A.J. Styles d. Jonny Storm, Steve Corino d. Shane Douglas, and Kid Kash d. Shark Boy.

    Bookers

Raven and Paul Heyman are considered two of the major masterminds of ECW. Eddie Gilbert left the promotion in like 1994 after a falling out and that's when Heyman took over. Before that, Gilbert was the head booker. For WCW and WWF/E bookers, go to the WRESTLING INFORMATION ARCHIVE web site. Rob Black, Lizzy Borden, Josh Lazie, and Kevin Kleinrock were the main bookers for XPW until Shane Douglas took over duties with Kleinrock, Black, and Lizzy after Lazie left. GQ Money booked for XPW from NYR2 - Hostile Takeover. CZW is booked by Zandig. Ian Rotten and Jim Fannin book IWA-MS. ETC. ETC. Basically, for all of the current indy promotions in the US, they're booked by whomever owns them. So ROH would be RF (and Gabe and Doug, too), Wildside is Bill Behrens, etc. Once you find out the owners, you know the bookers, pretty much.

    Favorite Indy Stable?

What's your favorite indy wrestling stable? Could make for a good topic. And there's certainly TONS of choices. NWA Elite (Wildside), SEX, 3 Live Kru, The Gathering, Triple X, New Church, Hi-V, Enterprise, Black Army, Extreme Horsemen, Funkin Army, Prophecy, Carnage Crew, TWA Academy (ROH), La Familia de Tijuana (MMW of Damien/Halloween, Super Crazy, & Psychosis), Los Havanas Pitbulls, Guerreros del Infiernos, etc. And there's a lot of ones that don't get the publicity they deserve, too. My first pick is La Familia, althought hey're not as well known. MMW are fantastic heels in Mexico. The Enterprise is another fav. of mine (GQ/Kaos forever), as is the Guerreros and Triple X. Thoughts?
  17. Good point about Volador, but regarding Marvin - MLW has tried to book both him and Super Crazy, but both have been unable to come to the promotion due to visa problems.

    I'm boycotting ROH

If you're going to boycott ROH for the business practices they follow, you might as well boycott CZW, IWA-MS, WWE, NJPW, BJPW, ZERO-ONE, AJPW, and every other promotion on earth b/c I could make the very same case that any other promotion has horrible business practices. CZW and IWA-MS have bounced many checks to wrestlers. WWE has screwed many wrestlers' careers permanently. etc. etc. etc. Boycotting a promotion is ridiculous, assanine, illogical, and especially - when it comes to ROH, which has one of the best products there is - ignorant.

    LXW results??

EDIT: Sorry for the double post.

    LXW results??

100 people ain't looking so good. So much for Barber's "BEST INDY WRESTLING CARD OF 2003" I stand by that claim. Attendance means shit. 100 fans attended XPW MBV in Philly, yet it was one of the best indy shows of this year. Says you. If it was such a great card, it would've drawn more than 100 people. Bull. All it means is a lack of advertising, as is obviously the case w/ LXW. The card was fantastic. Face it. "My point exactly. The card may have been fun to watch, but it was not a good 'buisness' card and see where the company is now." I never brought money into the equation. You guys did. I talked about it on paper and said nothing about how it would end up. I said that on paper, it was one of the best indy cards of the year and I stand by that.

TNA News From The 9/29 Observer

It's interesting that Jeff and Hogan are meeting again. I thought Hogan would never speak to Jeff again after Bash at the Beach.
