3PW Live Event Saturday, August 16, 2003 The Electric Factory Philadelphia, PA Short Results: - Damian Adams pins Nick Berk when the returning Xavier interferes behind the referee's back and attacks Berk. This sets up a Berk/Xavier feud. - Monsta Mack pins Christian York via a botched interference by Joey Matthews. After the bout, York and Matthews break up and start brawling. Mack helps out Matthews and beats up York until Mafia (Danny Maff) runs out and makes the save. This sets up a Mafia/York vs. Mack/Matthews match for the next 3PW show. - Josh Daniels beats Homicide via submission. - The Blue Meanie & Roadkill beat Stryker (a.k.a. Matt Striker) & Rob Eckos when Roadkill pins Stryker - Gary Wolfe/Rockin' Rebel confrontation that leads to a brawl and eventually a feud between them that is built up over the next few shows. - Kid Kash pins Justin Credible cleanly - #1 Contendership Match for the 3PW World Heavyweight Title: Balls Mahoney pins Sabu after the Special Guest Referee (3PW World Heavyweight Champion Terry Funk) turns heel and attacks Sabu so that he's easy prey for Balls. After the bout, Funk attacks Sabu, but Balls sticks up for Sabu and together the two clean house of Funk and make up as the show goes off of the air. Balls vs. Funk for the 3PW World Heavyweight Title is booked for the next 3PW show . Indepth Results: - Damian Adams vs. Nick Berk WHY: Adams has wrestled on most of the 3PW shows and while he hasn't won a whole lot of his matches, he's proved that he's a resiliant young performer. Berk, meanwhile, is a considerable star on the indy circuit and works for CZW, JAPW, KAPOW, and other promotions. He lost to fellow CZW wrestler Rockin' Rebel on the most recent 3PW show, while Adams beat the debuting Ricky Vega on that same show. Neither of these two really have much of a reason to fight each other, besides the fact that I have nobody else left who consistently works 3PW shows, so since I'd like to add one more match to the card, I guess I'll book them against each other. I think it'd be smart to put Adams over Berk and give him a reward for being so loyal to 3PW for the last several months. Berk will still be over in CZW and the other promotions that he works, so I think it's alright for his career if he lost this one match and helped give Adams some credibility and momentum in the process. The reason that I had Xavier return to 3PW and attack Berk was because - since he's no long in ROH - Xavier isn't in a major promotion anymore and I think he deserves to be. Plus, a match between him and Berk could be potentially excellent. Xavier's last appearance in 3PW was on March 29 when he lost to Homicide. MATCH: Highlights: - Berk tries the Berkulator (Belly-to-Back Lift into Sitout Inverted Powerbomb), but Adams rolls through and applies an Anklelock. Berk struggles for a few moments before grabbing the ropes and forcing Adams to break the hold. - Adams tries a Suplex, but Berk drops out and lands on his feet behind him. Berk pushes Adams into the nearby turnbuckle and Adams then bounces off and walks right into a rolling Suplex into a Rolling Northern Lights Suplex into a High-Angle German Suplex. Berk tries to apply the Texas Cloverleaf 2K3, but Adams eventually grabs the ropes and forces him to break the hold. - Adams hits a Super Sunset-Flip Powerbomb for 2. Berk hits the Berkocet '02 and covers, but Xavier makes his 3PW return and runs out, climbs up onto the apron, and distracts the referee from the pinfall. Berk gets back up, goes over to Xavier, and swings at him, but Xavier ducks and leaps back down to the ringside concrete. By the time Berk finishes yelling at Xavier and finally turns around, Adams is back up and ready. Berk receives a gut kick followed by a Fishermanbuster for the pinfall win for Adams. After the bout, Berk and Xavier have an argument at ringside, but when it looks like it's about to become a physical confrontation, some referees come out and separate the two. This incident leads to a feud between Berk and Xavier and also serves to begin a push for Adams. - Christian York vs. Monsta Mack WHY: This match and the angles played out during it would further the Christian York vs. Joey Matthews feud (York turned on Matthews at the previous 3PW show) and the brewing rivalry between Mafia (a.k.a. Danny Maff) and Monsta Mack (Mafia walked off from Monsta Mack at the previous 3PW show following a tag team loss that the two suffered) and would set up an interesting tag team bout. MATCH: Mack focuses on using his power and strength advantages during the bout, while York uses his quickness and aerial ability to combat Mack's hard-hitting style. Highlights: - York dropkicks Mack out of the ring and hits a Diving Topè through the ropes to take him out at ringside. - York attempts to whip Mack into the corner, but Mack reverses and sends York into the corner. York tries to tip up and over Mack, but Mack stops short of the buckle, catches York's legs on his shoulder, and delivers a stiff Double-Leg Slam. - Mack attempts a Flying Double Axehandle Smash, but York has him scouted well and knocks him down to the mat in midair with a Dropkick! After both men take a breater for several seconds, York slowly makes the cover on Mack for 2. - Mack ducks a Thrust Kick and hits a Release Northern Lights Suplex on York. He follows that by knocking York into a sitting position in the corner with a Running Knee Lift Attack. Mack then backs up and hits a Running Corner Boot Scrape (a la Shinjiro Ohtani) on York! - Mack whips York into the ropes and attempts a lariat, but York intelligently grabs onto him, swings around, and tries to take him down with a Crucifix pin. However, Mack counters with a stiff Samoan Drop for 2. - York attempts a Flying Crossbody Block, but Mack him in midair and swings around into an awesome Powerslam, all in one motion! This move gets 2 for Mack. Mafia runs in during the bout with a steel chair and climbs up onto the apron. At the same time, York reverses an Irish whip and sends Mack running toward his partner, Mafia. In the common "Did he mean to hit him or did he think he was going to hit the other guy?" tag team routine, Mafia swacks Mack over the head with the chair, knocking him out. Mafia acts suspicious and the fans wonder whether or not he meant to hit Mack or if he was aiming for York. With Mack down, York hits the Rebel Yelp (Flying Knee Drop) for the pinfall win. Afterwards, Mack and Mafia argue and Mafia starts to walk away, but instead suddenly turns back around and lariats Mack down to the mat! He starts beating on him as the fans boo and suddenly, after Mack repeatedly persists him to do so, York joins in and the two beat down on Mack until... Joey Matthews runs in and makes the save. He dropkicks Mafia out of the ring and then immediately targets Matthews with a series of strikes. He eventually clears the ring of both foes and then helps Mack back up to his feet as the rival duo retreat back to the locker room. This sets up Christian York & Mafia vs. Joey Matthews & Monsta Mack at the next show. - Homicide vs. Josh Daniels WHY: Homicide has lost his two most recent matches in 3PW, the first against Kid Kash and the second against Justin Credible. Meanwhile, Daniels has been on a considerably long winning streak in singles matches, so since Homicide seems to have been slightly fallen down the card and Daniels has gradually risen to about midcard level, I figure that this match seems logical. MATCH: Highlights: - Early into the bout, Homicide whips Daniels into the ropes and tries a Spinebuster, but Daniels counters and takes him down with a Fujiwara Armbar. After several moments, Homicide turns the hold into a pin where he presses down on Daniels' shoulders. Daniels rolls backwards at 2 and thereby escapes the pin and he now has a Grounded Armbar DDT Hold applied. Homicide soon transitions out of it and applies a Grounded Dragon Sleeper and Daniels then turns it into his own Grounded Dragon Sleeper. Homicide then rolls Daniels over and pins him with a leg grapevine, but Daniels kicks out, grabs Homicide's arms, lifts him back up to his feet slightly, and then tries a Backslide pin. Homicide uses his strength, though, and does his own Backslide pin for 2. Daniels immediately applies a Grounded Front Facelock, only to have Homicide swing around into an Armbar. Daniels then starts to climb back up to his feet and eventually whips Homicide into the ropes. Homicide shoulderblocks him down and then runs off of the adjacent ropes, hops over him, bounces off again, and then runs under Daniels' leap frog. Homicide bounces off again, but gets knocked down with a Leaping Heelkick from Daniels. He tries to Irish whip Homicide, but it's reversed and Daniels runs into the ropes. Homicide attempts a lariat, but Daniels intelligently grabs onto him, swings around, and takes him down with a Crucifix pin for 2. The two then back up into their respective corners as a loud ovation of applause occurs. - Homicide attempts a T-Bone Suplex, but Daniels fights out of it and hits an Armbar DDT. He then applies a Cross-Armbreaker until Homicide grabs the nearby ropes. Daniels lifts Homicide back up and tries to Irish whip, but its reversed and Daniels is sent into the ropes. Homicide lifts him up into a fireman's carry, but Daniels drops out, lands behind him, and pushes him into the ropes. Daniels hits a gut kick and then runs off of the adjacent ropes and hits a Swinging Neckbreaker and then goes right back to his submission specialty and applies a Leg Lock. Homicide turns him over and attempts to apply a Boston Crap, but Daniels instead applies a Muta Lock! Daniels releases that hold after a few seconds and applies a Back-Mounted Full Nelson, but Homicide fights out of it and applies a Crossface. Daniels escapes that after a few seconds and transitions into a pin with a leg grapevine. Homicide kicks out at 2 and tries his own pin, but Daniels quickly escapes that and the two immediately back up into their respective corners to another huge ovation of applause before grappling again. - Daniels counters Homicide's attempted Full Nelson Slam in midair by turning it into an armdrag. - Homicide attempts a Thunder Fire Powerbomb, but Daniels slips out and applies a Fujiwara Armbar. - Homicide whips Daniels into the corner and then - after catching Daniels' legs on his shoulder when he tries to tip up - delivers a stiff Double-Leg Slam. - Homicide lifts Daniels up with a Vertical Suplex, but Daniels falls downward onto him with a high-angle Crossbody Block for 2. - Homicide whips Daniels into the ropes and attempts a Spinebuster, but Daniels lands on feet and hits a Triple-H like Kneebuster and then backs up and hits a Shining Wizard (Homicide's own signature move) for 2! - Homicide attempts a Flying Double Axehandle Smash, but Daniels is ready and hammers him in the gut as he comes down and then German Suplexes him into the nearby ringpost! Homicide applies a Full Nelson, but Daniels escapes with a Reverse Drop Toehold and then applies a Crippler Crossface (a la Chris Benoit), which Homicide eventually taps out of to give Daniels the submission victory. - The Blue Meanie & Roadkill vs. Stryker (a.k.a. Matt Striker) & Rob Eckos WHY: Since beginning to tag team together a few months ago, Meanie & Roadkill have been pretty successful. They recently were feuding with Da Hit Squad, but I figure that - with the hint of D.H.S. splitting (at least in 3PW) - that angle should be pursued and in the mean time, Meanie & Roadkill can continue grappling with other tag teams in 3PW. The two recently beat Christian York & Joey Matthews, the same team that Eckos & Stryker just beat at the previous 3PW show. Since 3PW seems intent on continually putting over Meanie & Roadkill (probably because Meanie owns 3PW; LOL!), I figure I'll use this match to continue building them up and in the process, expose Eckos & Stryker to the fans again. MATCH: Highlights: - Roadkill lifts Eckos up onto his shoulders in a fireman's carry, but Eckos drops out, lands behind him, and pushes him into the nearby ringpost. Roadkill then bounces back and Eckos immediately hits a Running Bulldog. - Meanie powerbombs Eckos into the turnbuckle and then Irish whips Roadkill BUTT-first into Eckos' face! - Roadkill attempts a Thunder Fire Powerbomb, but Eckos drops out, runs off of the ropes, ducks a lariat, and attempts a thrust kick. Roadkill catches his leg under his armpit, but Eckos smartly performs an Enziguri Kick, knocking Roadkill down to the mat. He then lifts Roadkill up and attempts an Irish whip, but Roadkill reverses and sends him into the ropes. Eckos ducks a lariat and hits a spinning heelkick that knocks down Roadkill again. Eckos then hits a Missle Dropkick for 2. He then tags in Stryker, who surprises the fans by bodyslamming Roadkill and then hitting a Running Snap Leg Drop for another 2 count. - Roadkill whips Stryker into the turnbuckle and then charges toward him, but Stryker intelligently charges toward him also and surprises him by sliding through his legs. Roadkill stops before crashing into the buckle, but when he turns around he receives a spinning heel kick that knocks him into a sitting position in the corner. Stryker then backs up, charges, and hits a Baseball Slide Dropkick to Roadkill's crotch! - Meanie Press Slams Eckos and tosses him onto Stryker. The finish comes when Meanie Sitdown Powerbombs Stryker and then tags in Roadkill, who hits the Amish Bomb (Flying Splash) for the pinfall win. - Gary Wolfe (Pitbull #1)/Rockin' Rebel confrontation WHY: Wolfe lost the 3PW World Heavyweight Title to Terry Funk at the last show, while Rebel has won the majority of his last few matches in 3PW. These two could make for an solid feud with old school-style brawling, so that's why I'm booking this confrontation. Plus, they're about the same size as one another. CONFRONTATION: Rebel comes out and challenges anyone in the locker room who thinks they can beat him. Wolfe answers the challenge and the two start brawling in the ring, before the fight spills out to ringside and eventually into the crowd, where a steel chair, a power cord, and more weapons come into use. Security, though, is eventually forced to break up the brawl because it becomes so chaotic. This confrontation leads to a match between them at the next show and that eventually leads to an old school-style Streetfight between them later down the line. - Justin Credible vs. Kid Kash WHY: At the last 3PW show, Credible - making his 3PW debut - beat Homicide and at the show before that, Kash beat Homicide. So, because these two are both former-ECW stars and they each have beaten the same guy in the last few months, I figure that this would be a fairly logical match to book. MATCH: Highlights: - Credible whips Kash into the corner and charges after him, but Kash tips up and over him. Credible turns around charges at Kash with a lariat, but Kash ducks and then charges Credible, who lifts him up with a tilt-a-whirl pickup and adjusts him into position for That's Incredible. Kash, though, rolls forward via a Victory Roll and takes Credible with him for 2. - Kash sends Credible out of the ring with a Tilt-a-Whirl Headscissors Takeover and then takes him out at ringside with a Flying Corkscrew Somersault Plancha Suicida! - After being whipped into the ropes, Kash swings around until he is laying on Credible's back and attempts a Crucifix pin, but Credible refuses to be taken down and instead hits a Fireman's Carry into a Stunner for 2! - Kash tries to whip Credible from one corner to another, but Credible holds onto his arm and instead Russian Leg Sweeps him into the turbuckle and then hits his signature Corner Sitout Powerbomb for 2. - Credible leaps off of the top buckle towards Kash, but Kash delivers a dropkick, knocking Credible (who's in midair) down to the mat. - Kash hits a Catapult Headscissors Takeover for 2. Credible ends up in the corner and Kash backs up into the opposite corner before charging toward Credible. At the last possible moment, though, Kash zigzags slightly to the left, leaps onto the middle ring rope, bounces off of it, and - while he is in midair - catches Credible with a Huracanrana out of the corner - a Slingshot Huracanrana! - Credible attempts his Driving Elbow Drop off of the middle buckle, but Kash rolls out of the way. Once both are standing, Kash hits a nice-looking Slingshot Swinging DDT (leaps off of the middle ring rope, springs backward, swings around in midair, lands with an inverted facelock on the opponent, and before landing on the mat, swings around 180º, and then DDT's his opponent)! The finishing sequence features Credible whipping Kash into the corner and charging after him. Kash tips up and in the process, does a 180º spin in an attempt to fly over Credible and take him down with a sunset flip when he reaches the corner. It looks like he'll hit it, but Credible smartly refuses to let him take him down and instead catches him on his back, adjusts his position until Kash's legs are under his armpits, and hits a Draping Back-to-Belly Tombstone Piledriver! Kash somehow kicks out at 2, though! This same spot was used during the Chris Hamrick-Jerry Lynn match at February's XPW My Bloody Valentine (which also occurred in Philadelphia, PA). Clearly pissed off, Credible climbs up to the top buckle and signals that he's going to splash Kash, but Kash crotches him, climbs up himself, and sets up for a Dragonsteiner. Credible low blows, Kash, though, and causes him to fall into position for a That's Incredible off of the middle buckle. Kash intelligently tries to fight out of it and eventually succeeds, causing himself to do a forwards flip and land on his feet on the mat. After punching Credible several times, Kash - standing in the ring - springboards onto the top buckle right next to Credible and then Huracanranas him down to the mat - a Slingshot Super Huracanrana! Kash follows with a Flying Frog Splash for the pinfall upset! - #1 Contendership Match for the 3PW World Heavyweight Title: Balls Mahoney vs. Sabu - Winner wrestles Funk at next 3PW show for 3PW World Heavyweight Title (Special Guest Refere: 3PW World Heavyweight Champion Terry Funk) WHY: Although he didn't wrestle on the last show, Balls Mahoney has worked most of the other 3PW shows and has been quite successful on them, for the most part, having beaten Da Hit Squad, Nosawa, and Ian Rotten. Meanwhile, Sabu was scheduled to wrestle Funk (in a three-way dance, along with Gary Wolfe) at the most recent 3PW show (on June 21), but no-showed the event and was replaced by The Sandman. Funk eventually won the match and therefore the title, also. Up until now, the 3PW World Title has been defended on every 3PW show (to my knowledge, at least), but I think it deserves a break for once and - by having Funk have an influence on the outcome of this match - it would allow 3PW to build some heat for Funk's first title defense. MATCH: This insane main event features many different brawling, hardcore, and aerial spots throughout the arena. Highlights: - Balls hits several "BALLS!" sparring punches and then goes for his signature big swing punch, but Sabu has him scouted well and dropkicks his legs out from under him and then applies a Leglock, which he eventually breaks when Balls makes it to the ropes. - Balls whips Sabu into the opposite ringpost and charges after him. Sabu tries to tip up and over Balls, but Balls catches Sabu's legs on his shoulders and hits a hard Double-Leg Slam. - Balls rolls out of the way of Sabu's Triple-Jump Moonsault and then, when Sabu gets back up, uses the chair that he used to leap off of to chairshots Sabu down for 2. - Balls reverses an attempted corner whip and sends Sabu towards the opposite corner. Balls charges after his foe, but Sabu smartly knocks him down with a Slingshot Back Elbow and then follows with an Arabian Press for 2. - Sabu tries his Slingshot Swinging DDT, but Balls catches him and turns it into the Ballbreaker (Swinging Spinebuster Bomb) and then hits the New Jersey Jam for 2! The tension in this match between Funk and Sabu begins when Balls whips Sabu into the opposite ringpost super hard and Sabu ends up doing a Flair Flip bump upon impact to sell the crash more effectively. After the bump, Funk goes to check on Sabu to make sure he's alright, but - not realizing that it's Funk near him and not Balls - Sabu suddenly throws a fireball into Funk's face(!), which causes a now partially blinded Funk to run around the ring franticly. With Funk now down on the mat and not paying attention to the match, Balls and Funk brawl in the ring for awhile, with the result being Sabu hitting a Springboard Leg Drop and going for the pin. However, there is nobody to count because Funk is still recovering from the fireball incident. Sabu goes and helps him crawl over to where Balls is and then covers Balls again. Funk - after giving Sabu a dirty glare (presumably because he threw the fireball at him) slowly (due to still being somwhat hurt by the fire) counts to 2 before Balls kicks out. Sabu gets back up and begins brawling with Balls again for about a minute, before Balls powerslams him and then climbs up top and signals for a Frog Splash. Sabu, though, crotches him and then hits his Super Leaping Huracanrana. Funk starts a 10 count since both men don't get right back up. They finally get back up at about 9 and brawl a bit more. Sabu runs into the ropes and tries a Slingshot Sidekick, but Balls catches him in midair and tosses him over his back in an Inverted Fallaway Slam-type-of-move. However, Balls is unaware that Funk is behind him and Sabu lands on Funk, knocking him down. In the process of throwing Sabu, Balls falls backwards, down to the mat. Now, all three men are down in the ring. After a bit more than 10 seconds, Balls and Sabu start getting back up to their feet and Balls takes control. Once he loses the advantage, Funk stands back up and - seeing that Sabu is in control - gives his former rival another dirty glare. The two move face-to-face and start trash-talking each other. However, Sabu shoves Funk to the side of the ring and dives after him himself, escaping the spot that they were just standing at a split second before Balls' arm reaches there via an attempted lariat. It appears that Sabu has just saved Funk from getting beaten up again. Sabu gets back up and starts brawling with Balls again. Balls whips Sabu into the ropes and Sabu ducks a lariat before dropkicking Balls' legs. Sabu hits a Huracanrana followed by a Cutter after a brief exchange. He follows with an Arabian Facebuster off of the top buckle and goes for the pin on Balls. Fun slowly crawls over to him and begins counting. He reaches 2 before his face drops flat onto the mat and he acts like he is too tired to continue counting. Sabu goes over to him to help him, but when he touches him, Funk suddenly comes back to life and tosses a pile of some type of powder that he has in his pocket into Sabu's eyes, temporarily blinding him. Funk then quickly lifts Sabu back up and Piledrives him onto a chair before starting a 10 count. Balls gets back up at 8 and acts confused and glances at Funk with a wierd face because Sabu is suddenly laying on the mat. He smartly takes advantage of this circumstance, though, as he lifts Sabu up and hits the Nutcracker Suite and then a Flying Frog Splash for the pinfall pin. Funk happily raises Balls' arm in victory as Ball seems relucant to accept Funk's celabratory manner. Funk then lifts Sabu back up and starts beating on him and trash-talking him in the process. However, Balls suddenly gains the favor of the 3PW fans by pulling Funk off of Sabu. A pissed off Funk pushes Balls back several feet and heads back towards Sabu, but Balls turns him around and delivers several "BALLS!" sparring punches and then sends him rolling out of the ring with a Thrust Kick. Balls helps Sabu up and the two shake hands and embrace as an incensed Funk (who grabbed his 3PW title belt after being knocked out of the ring) stomps back to the locker room, glaring at the two apparent friends in the ring all the while. Balls vs. Funk for the 3PW World Title is scheduled for the next show and this incident serves to built up some heat between the two before their showdown. Matches of the Night (in order from best to worst): Homicide/Josh Daniels, Credible/Kash, Balls/Sabu, Mack/York, Adams/Berk, Meanie/Roadkill vs. Eckos/Stryker (I didn't rank the Wolfe/Rebel brawl because it wasn't a sanctioned match) Feedback/thoughts?

In all seriousness, though, I'd rather see Mafia wrestle Hatred or Gage in a singles bout than wrestle in a tag team match. And as for Styles....don't book him vs. Messiah, yet. Book him vs. Mondo and then gradually build up a match between him and Messiah for TOD or COD or some other big show. I've already explained why my examples were completely relevant. You have yet to respond to that post. The baggage is on your shoulder and not mine and it's been on your shoulder for hte last several posts. You have yet to respond to my post that responded to your accusastion that my examples were irrational/irrelevant. I don't need to give you an essay of any sort. I've given you examples as you asked. Your now changing the criteria that you asked me for in this thread. I'm not going to fall victim to such asburdity. I'm agreeing to disagree. Hopefully you will, but I won't hold my breath on that.

I just backed it up with three or four different examples, you blind bat, LOL! HAHAHA! "This was at a party, and he didn't get any medical attention until the next day." That's impossible. If he bit through his tongue, like you said, he would've had to get medical attention of some sort because he'd have been bleeding. Whether it be stitches, holding a towel on it for a long time, getting actual medical help by calling 911, or something like that, he wouldn't have gone a whole night without getting help for the simple reason that he wouldn't walk around with a tongue that's been bitten through and bleeding. Common sense, human will, everything denies that that could happen.

You can't use the facts on your side of the argument cuz there aren't really any. I just provided you with a sensible explanation in my previous reply. You use the phrase "at the very least." Well, at the very least, you could at least give me a halfway decent reply rather than just give up and act like you schooled me when you didn't. When you get your tongue pierced, your sitting in a chair with medical tools, towels, etc.! MLW BACKSTAGE REPORT FOR JULY 3 by Andy Vineberg Well, the era of the Extreme Horsemen has certainly begun and they are clearly taking over MLW which was showcased this past Monday night on the Underground as Steve Corino defeated Mike Awesome for the MLW Heavyweight championship in an unplanned match. I guess Corino has one up on Funk now due to this victory. I can honestly say, that Corino, Anderson, and Diamond are three men who remind me of why I love this business in the first place. They really bring back the old school mentality that makes the hardcore wrestling fan enjoy this sport so much. They all live for this business and want nothing more than to prove they are the best in the profession and they prove this every time they step through the ropes. All the gold in MLW is now in the Horsemen's possession but you can bet there are some hungry MLW competitors looking to kick some major Horsemen ass! Speaking of kicking ass, Jerry Lynn is really in some kind of frenzy with his new attitude. He defeated Kid Romeo on TV this past week and showed why he is the New F'N Evil of MLW. Talking with Jerry backstage in Lauderdale, I could clearly see he has a new -found hunger for this business, a hunger that will be seen in a match-up in Orlando on July 26th as he goes one on one with Paul London. I'll tell ya the 26th can't get here quick enough as I have been anticipating this rematch for almost 2 months now. I get a ton of emails from the fans stating that they love Samu's Tea Bagging comments. Many fans want to know exactly what the deal is and what it means. I'll tell you, I'll ask Samu to explain that one next week in the report so get ready to get Tea Bagged! I want to mention what a great champion Kojima was and he gets tons of respect from the entire MLW locker room. He was no doubt an asset to the business who defended the MLW championship on two continents almost daily. You can bet you have not heard the last of Kojimania. Shouts out to Dan Kowal. Dan and his crew prove show after show that they are the best group of any in the world to promote MLW and I personally can't thank them enough. You all are more appreciated by the MLW offices than you'll ever know and are such an integral part of the MLW team! Sure I should have been more specific, but I thought you would use some common sense, sorry I gave you too much credit for that. And as far as you spending time looking them up, well you are the one that made the claim in the first place so you should have some facts to back up your original point, so don’t get mad at me because they don’t exist. Major League Wrestling "Underground TV" Results 6/30/03 Submitted by Bill Piven on Tuesday, July 1, 2003 at 2:57 AM EST Let me preface this report by saying that tonight MLW delivered a great show building toward its future and establishing its world heavyweight title as a title that means something with a champion who defended the belt worldwide for a year. Mike Awesome starts the show off claiming he will walk out tonight as the number one Heavyweight Champion of the World when he takes out Satoshi Kojima (MLW's Champion). ::::MLW Underground TV music opening:::: Joey Styles welcomes us to the War Memorial Auditorium for this week's edition of Underground TV where over 1,500 fans have packed the arena to see the big main event featuring Kojima vs. Awesome for the world title. Styles informs us that the Extreme Horsemen are in the building as well. Styles then plugs Rise of the Renegades on July 26 at Tabu Night Club in Orlando, FL. Styles then gets word that Jerry Lynn and Christopher Daniels are on their way to the ring. Christopher Daniels and Jerry Lynn go to the ring. Daniels explains that Jerry Lynn is now known as the "Evil F'N Show" Jerry Lynn. Lynn then grabs the mic and asks where the crowd was when he was down. Lynn calls the fans a bunch of brainwash corporate mutants. Lynn explains how Paul London is not in the arena tonight due to a family emergency. Lynn says he wrestled while his father had open heart surgery and was in Japan when his daughter was born. Lynn claims this is a shoot. Styles calls Lynn an asshole. Lynn goes on to say that London is weak and that fans can buy into all the crap they want, but Lynn won't run from anyone and asks for someone to come out from the back. One if not Lynn's strongest promos I've seen. Jerry Lynn pinned Kid Romeo. The debuting Kid Romeo comes out to answer Jerry Lynn's challenge. Fast opening two minutes with a series of dropkicks by Romeo. Styles notes that Romeo has wrestled in New Japan Pro Wrestling and WCW. Some solid mat work by Lynn and Romeo including some submission and pin reversals. Crowd is very respectful, applauding for the mat work. Romeo hits some nice high flying moves, including an ocean cyclone suplex into a bulldog. Lynn later hits a flawless TKO for a near count. After Daniels distracts both Romeo and the ref, Lynn hits the cradle Piledriver to get the pinfall. Styles alerts us that Paul London and Jerry Lynn will face off in the first match of their Young Lions Challenge series. A fast and well executed match that was a good choice to open tonight's show. During a commercial they announce MLW will be going to Orlando on July 26 for Rise of the Renegades and an Underground TV taping. It will be at Tabu Night Club. Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster outlets and Ticketmaster.com. Homicide (while banging on pipes) says that he is coming July 26 to Rise of the Renegades. He is a Renegade from Brooklyn and lays down an open challenge for the Orlando MLW show. Homicide claims he will show us at Rise of the Renegades that he is the most strong style and hardcore athlete in MLW as he "is ready to F**** S*** up!" Styles calls Homicide the "Brooklyn Bad Boy" and says he is getting ready to "thug up" for July 26th for his open challenge at Rise of the Renegades. Styles then brings up the Extreme Horsemen and their on going battle with the legends of MLW, most notably Terry Funk and Steve Williams. Styles says the Horsemen are now standing by with comments. In the locker room, the Extreme Horsemen are about to begin their promo when Mike Awesome walks by in front of them and after initially getting pissed off, Steve Corino shrugs it off and tells them to follow his lead. The Horsemen go into Awesome's locker room. Corino kisses up to Awesome and wishes him luck going into tonight's match against Kojima. Awesome seems to have very little patience for Corino and the Extreme Horsemen. Nonetheless, Corino brings up the fact that MLW.com has just posted the top ten list and Corino is ranked number two. As such, he would like a crack at Awesome. Awesome seems to be on the verge of snapping and agrees just to get the Horsemen out of the locker room. The Horsemen thank Awesome for agreeing to the future challenge and leave. Styles then reviews the Awesome-Horsemen meeting that just went down and says that if Awesome wins here tonight, somewhere down the road he will face Steve Corino for the world title. Styles changes subjects (Nirvana begins playing) and brings up the escalading CM Punk-Raven feud. Styles compares Raven to Punk and says that Raven couldn't pass a drug test if he stayed up all night studying versus Punk's straight edge drug free, alcohol free, etc. approach. MLW shows a widescreen shot of Punk during a previous promo. Styles says that Raven is gloating over his recent win over Punk and that has Punk enraged. Standing by with comments about Punk and more is Raven. Raven begins to discuss CM Punk when Punk interrupts. Meanwhile, Simply Luscious lurks in the background.. eavesdropping perhaps? Raven says "speaking of the devil" to which Punk replies "and the devil appears", which came off real intense and made for some good TV. They exchange some heated words with Punk leaving after saying something to the effect that he has Raven running. Once Punk has departed, Raven wonders aloud why he is running. He then calls Punk a jackass. He promises Punk will experience the raven effect soon. Styles discusses how the mind games continue between Raven and Punk. Styles then runs down the Samoan Island Tribe & Los Maximos feud. In a rather funny promo, Mana is standing on a scale looking proud while Samu says that they are indeed in great shape but flattery will get the Maximos nowhere. Samu warns the Maximos to be ready for pain. Samu then screams "teabaggin" as they go to commercial. Back to Styles who says its time to rundown the top 10 contenders for the MLW World Championship. This week's top ten: 1. Mike Awesome 2. Steve Corino 3. Terry Funk 4. Sabu 5. Raven 6. La Parka 7. CM Punk 8. Michael Shane 9. Paul London 10. Jerry Lynn Back to the Extreme Horsemen who discuss how they are re-writing wrestling history. All the Horsemen are dressed up well, wearing collared shirts and nice pants. Corino hears something and goes over to a Japanese man who is on his cell phone speaking in Japanese. Corino asks him if he can translate between Japanese and English and after some bullying, the man says yes. Corino along with his fellow Extreme Horsemen then drag the poor guy to a locker room where Satoshi Kojima is stretching while preparing for his main event match later tonight against Mike Awesome. Kojima is absolutely hilarious and great here. Corino once again kisses ass and flatters Kojima as being a great world champ. Kojima (speaking in English!) obliges. Corino then says he believes Kojima will easily defeat Awesome tonight. He yells at the translator to translate. The translator begins in a soft tone to translate to which Corino shouts for the translator to speak louder. Corino then proceeds to tell the translator to tell Kojima that after Kojima wins tonight, Corino would like the next crack at the title since he is ranked #2 in the world. Translator once again translates and Kojima listens. After thinking, Kojima (speaking in near perfect English!) says that after Awesome-Kojima, Kojima-Corino. Corino agrees. Kojima then says "tonight, I win." Corino playing a babyface puts Kojima over saying he hopes so. Kojima and Corino then shake hands. Corino then says "hey, Kojima speaks PERFECT English!" and throws the translator out of the locker room. Corino then ends this incident by saying that he will hold Kojima to his word and walks out while looking at the camera and mumbles that Kojima doesn't even speak Japanese. Funny and entertaining television that helped to setup some storylines and backdrop for the match(es) later. Joey runs down how the Extreme Horsemen have now secured the rights to the first challenge to the world heavyweight title no matter who the champ is at the end of the night. Styles pushes the big world title match between Awesome & Kojima in a few minutes. Mike Awesome pinned Satoshi Kojima to win the world title. The crowd chanted "Kojima" from the second Kojima's music started until a few seconds after the bell rang. When Kojima entered the ring, fans from all four sides of the ring through orange, black and white streamers into the ring. Lots of Kojima signs in the crowd. Very stiff back and forth match between Kojima and Awesome. Early on, the two exchanged some vicious chops and fists that gets the crowd hot. Kojima hits a pescado on Awesome at ringside. The two brawled all over ringside including Kojima backdropping Awesome into the fans at ringside. Kojima, ever so charismatic then bowed to the fans in appreciation of their support. The two continued to battle, throwing one another into the steel barricades as MLW went to break. Back from break, and Awesome hits three stiff chairshots on the back of Kojima (who is on his hands and knees in the ring). Awesome connects with a corner post dive with a chair. Later, Kojima gets the chair and blasts Awesome with it several times. Crowd is behind Kojima, which is pretty surprising given Awesome being a Florida native. Kojima rallied and hit a top rope diving elbow, big german suplex, and head & arm whip drop (during which Kojima screams to the crowd for approval). Kojima then signals for the lariat, but is blocked. Awesome gets a near 3 count with a sitdown powerbomb. Awesome follows this up with an Awesome Splash but fails to get the 3 again. Kojima later gets a shinning wizard on Awesome and does the Muto signature gesture/pose for a pop. Awesome hits a distracted Kojima with the running Awesome Bomb and again fails to get the 3. Awesome gets a table and props it up in the ring. Awesome goes to put Kojima through it (via an Awesome Bomb), but the ref is hit in the process and is down. Kojima wiggles out and hits a flawless lariat and goes for the cover for a good 10-14 count but no ref. Kojima's facials during this are priceless. Kojima then goes for another maneuever off the ropes, but it is reversed with an Awesome spear followed by an Awesome powerbomb through the table for the pin. Mike Awesome has won the world title in MLW. Crowd seems bummed about Kojima losing the title, but then turns and starts chanting Awesome. MLW, in a smart move lowers the music, ultimately killing it so we hear the arena chanting "Awesome" with several fans standing and applauding. Good TV. Back to Styles who begins to recap and close the show. However, Steve Corino's music starts and Styles sends it back down to the ring to see what is up. Steve Corino comes out to some new music (very funky, yet addictive). Corino gets on the microphone and congratulates Awesome on becoming the new champ on behalf of the Horsemen, MLW, and the fans. Styles says it's a load of crap. Corino reminds Awesome of his promise from earlier in the night. Corino runs down that he has defeated the Sandman, Vampiro, and Dusty Rhodes and deserves to be the world champion. Corino says he was promised a world title match at any time. Corino reminds everyone that MLW is getting bigger and badder, going to Orlando in July and St. Pete in August and concludes that they should have the match right now. Corino then bashes Awesome in the head with the microphone as the bell rings and the match begins. The two have a really solid match with Corino being tossed three rows deep by Awesome including clearing the guard rails. Commercial break. Back from commercial and Awesome slams a steel chair from the top rope into the skull of Corino. Corino does one hell of a job selling for Awesome and also laying in some top notch chops that show his time in Zero-One. Awesome later dumps Corino on his head and shoulder with a German suplex. Awesome then goes for a table which he props into the corner. The two tease the table spot several times, ultimately leading to Awesome Awesomebombing Corino through table in a holy sh*t spot that had the fans stomping in the bleachers. As Awesome was getting ready for the pin, CW Anderson & Simon Diamond ran in but were taken down by Awesome instantly. However, this opened up Awesome for two stiff superkicks by Corino for the pinfall and MLW world title. Corino, Diamond, and Anderson celebrate with the world title which generates some huuuge heat from this crowd. Corino says "this is reality and that tonight begins the rise of the renegades. led by the Extreme Horsemen." They pose with Corino showing the world title to the camera as Joey Styles closes out the show saying that the Extreme Horsem en control all the gold in MLW. Notes: This show made me feel like a wrestling fan reborn. No campy segments or uninspired workers. No lame booking ideas but instead multi-dimensional characters and concepts, something that has been missing from wrestling and wrestling on TV for a bit. MLW in just one hour set up several interesting storylines leading into their 7/26 MLW show in Orlando at Tabu Night Club, including Mike Awesome being screwed by the Extreme Horsemen, Samoans vs. Los Maximos (big bullies vs. the young and hungry brothers who have less experience but show big time heart), CM Punk one-upping Raven in his mind games and the lingering question of how Simply Luscious factors into this, Jerry Lynn establishing his heel persona with his great promo and showcasing him in an excellent match. By the way, MLW has been able to get promos out of Lynn and the Maximos that I didn't think was possible. Kudos off to them for doing such. The booking around the world title was great with everyone gunning for it tonight and setting up many intriguing scenarios down the road. It has become the focus of the promotion and Corino's desperate attempt to weasel his way into the title picture was well executed. I am anxious and excited about Corino's reign as champion. Joey Styles does a great job in getting the young talent over and building the storylines. No one right now can match his ability to weave it all together and get you fired up for a match quite like Styles. MLW has put some money into their production since their last TV taping with this show having lighting on the level of any ECW TV tapings I've seen. Also, I can now here the music and ring entrances, which is great. I also think they finally got a microphone for the audience so you can hear their reaction, as it sounds leagues better. Overall, great improvements. The crowd looked huge. There is no doubt the company had an easy 1,600+ in there. It was perhaps the biggest crowd I've seen on TV outside of a WWE show since ECW and WCW closed. Good to see a wrestling fan base growing this day in age. After watching a mediocre Raw with a pretty good main event and then seeing a balanced, entertaining and edgy MLW TV show, WWE's problems pushing storylines and building young talent becomes even more apparent. But that's for another column!... The Evil F'N Show persona is something I am really marking out for. Did I mention that already?... The show tonight was based simply around the desire to be the world champion of MLW and how that was all that mattered. This show solidified me as a fan of MLW as it had everything from intensity in ring work and angles to comedy and all around great work and enhanced TV production values. My hat goes off to MLW on a great job... The teabag gimmick for the Samoans is really catching on and a nice touch of comedy to a traditionally serious tag team gimmick. and your examples sucked you said it was a common occurance, yet you were only able to show a couple of extreme examples that didnt even help your arguement. just admit you were wrong and that there is no real risk of death from the tongue stapling. i find it hard to beleive that some kid is actually concerned about what hardcore wrestlers do to eachother in the ring, what it sounds like to me is you want to hate on the product no matter what the reality is I found enough examples and they certainly didn't suck; Instead, they were quite valid. I can't help it if you want to assume that those in the examples weren't attended to medically when it doesn't mention that at all. Something tells me you just are pissed because I found examples and you didn't think I could. I'm not going to spend all day looking for examples just in order to appease your obsessiveness. With Zandig's obsession with making sure the fans get their money's worth, I doubt he would stop a match just because there was tons of blood. Fuck, he didn't even stop his own match at Stretched in Smyrna, knowing full and well that the police had already been called and were coming to the show due to the excessive blood of Wifebeater. Acutally, it doesn't say whether or not they were attended to. Who knows if they were. I don't think the articles they whether or not they were. In a case like this, it's not right to assume that they were because they may not have been nor should you assume that they weren't because they may have been. At TOD when Necro got the shirt stapled to his tongue, the incident happened toward the beginning of the bout. They still wrestled for several more minutes before the match ended and he was attended to, presumably backstage. He's lucky he wasn't injured worse. In MAW Hardcore Cup, the incident I think happened later in the bout, so he was attended to more quickly.

James with a wristlock then an armwringer. Cane with a forearm to break. He follows that with two right hands, a whip into the ropes and a dropkick. Cane with another right. He goes to whip James into the ropes but James blocks that and nails Cane with the left hands and one hard right. Knee drop by James. Cover gets two. Both men up, James with a knee to the mid-section. Killings tags in and quickly gets taken to the mat by an armdrag from Cane. Sexton tags in and applies a wristlock. He goes to whip Killings into the ropes but Killings reverses the move and kicks Sexton in the mid-section. Suplex into a stunner for two by Killings. Killings whips Sexton into the ropes, kicks him in the mid-section, and nails him with an axe kick. Killings goes to whip Sexton into the corner but Sexton reverses. Killings puts on the breaks and floats back behind a charging Sexton. Killings does the splits to avoid a clothesline. Konan then clothesline Sexton. James with an elbow. Killings covers for two. Killings whips Sexton into the ropes and the two BUTT heads after Sexton bounces off the ropes. Konnan and Delirious tag in. Delirious goes for a wheelbarrow but Konnan turns that into a release german suplex. He then hits a reverse DDT on Sexton and a rolling clothesline on Cane. Konnan then finishes the match by kicking Delirious in the mid-section, hitting the face jam, and applying the Tequila Sunrise. Delirious taps out. After the match, James slingshots Eddie G into the ring. Killings kicks Eddie in the mid-section and then plants him with a picture perfect Falcon Arrow, which Eddie sells better than anybody I have ever seen take the move. David Young vs. 2 Face Face with a quick go behind into a waistlock takedown then a front face lock. Young tries to escape but Face simply reapplies the front face lock. Both men up to their feet. Face with a wristlock into a side headlock. Young shoots Face into the ropes. He goes for a hip toss but Face turns that into a firemans’ carry followed by an armbar. Young with three forearms to break. He goes for a kick to the ribs but Face blocks that and clotheslines Young. Young backs up the ropes and Face clotheslines him to the floor. Face follows him out only to get distracted by Sonny Siaki who walks out on the ramp. Young takes advantage of this with a forearm to the back. Young whips Face into the side of the ring. Face pulls himself up out of the way of a charging Young then skins the cat back into the ring. Face off the top rope to the floor with an axe handle on Young. Both men back in and Young attacks Face with an axe handle to the shoulders. Right hands by Young. He whips Face into the corner. He tries again but Face tosses him into the corner and rains some rights down onto him. He whips Young into the ropes and catches him with a big boot. He then whips Young into the corner and follows him in with a clothesline. Forearm to the back by Face who then pulls a Kid Kash and scales the ropes and catches Young with a clothesline. Young with a drop toe hold sending Face into the corner. Young eats boot when he charges in after him. Face pulls himself up to the top rope then comes crashing down on Young with a big leg drop. Siaki on the ring apron distracts Face. When he turns around Young plants him with a spinebuster for the win. Winner, by pinfall, Young Commercial Break. Mike and Jeremy talk about AMW vs. XXX. Highlights of Americas’ Most Wanted defeating Tripls X in a steel cage to win the NWA World Tag Team Titles. This segment from the start of Mike and Jeremy talking to the end of the highlights of the match lasted almost twenty-one minutes and was without commercial interruption. One of the best segments in Xplosion history. Commercial Break. Mike and Jeremy talk about the odd tag pairings of Jeff Jarrett and Raven and the equally as odd pairing of Glenn Gilbertti and Shane Douglas. Highlights of Jarrett and Raven over Gilbertti and Douglas by DQ after Father James Mitchell hit Raven in the face with a fireball. End Show. Closing thoughts: Overall the best Xplosion to date. Only thing I would have changed would have been a few less minutes of the AMW vs. XXX match in favor of at least a few minutes worth of highlights for both the D-Lo Brown vs. AJ Styles fight and the Chris Sabin vs. Frankie Kazarian match. You're numbed signifcantly, there are towels near by, the process is done SLOWLY (not all in one moment like with a staple gun), etc. One can't take such precautions in a wrestling match.

If your claim that it's the fastest heeling muscle is in fact correct, then something isn't right, seeing as how it's quite common for somebody who had their tongue cut out (dating back to ancient times) to die of blood loss. Last thing a person needs is to have glass go into their eyes, and by having a pane of glass or lighttubes superkicked into their face. Even with the tree of woe dropkick spot, where the bulbs are in front of someone's face, the attackers feet go to the outside of the victim's head, which (in theory) causes the glass to break away from the person's face." T.O.D. '02 - Gage running boot scrapes a pane of glass into WBeater's face. It shatters up on impact. There is always going to be a chance of it going in their eyes, but seeing as how wrestlers have kicked panes into others' faces often, it's very possible to do a superkick and knock on into one's face.

If you look at the past NWA-TNA results, the NWA world title ain't defended each week. If it was, it wouldn't mean too much. Why? It makes a title more special if it's only defended on certain occasions "Abyss is Vic Grimes? Oh God No." Grimes is a friggin' awesome worker, dude. Works any style. Red is still injured, to my knowledge, but I imagine he could still do some non bumping stuff, as long as he's careful, whcih is why I used him. "Gathering vs. Truth/Konnan? Gathering are just about faces, so why a face vs. face tag match?" Julio Dinero will probably never become a face. He's a natural heel. Punk is going to be feuding w/ London. Why else would London have screwed him a few weeks ago? So, out of those two, who would you rather see as a face - London or Punk? You can't have both be face, so I'd pick London as the face and Punk as the heel.

The Harris Brothers (Don Harris & Ron Harris) by pinning Ron after NWA World Heavyweight Champion botches an attempted interference and Jeff Jarrett takes out Styles Indepth Results: 1. X Division Match: Jason Cross vs. Kid Romeo WHY: The only history that these two have with each other are that they both participated in a four corners elimination match that also included Paul London (who eventually won the match) and C.M. Punk almost a month ago on May 21. Romeo recently returned to TNA after an almost year long abscence from the promotion and is looking to make an impact like only his arrogant, yet quite popular, self can. This would, in my opinion, be a teriffic opening match for this show. MATCH: Highlights: - Romeo hits a Wheelbarrow Bulldog and then a Catapult Headscissors Takeover for 2! - Cross takes Romeo out with a Flying Corkscrew Somersault Topè! - Cross attempts a Dragon Suplex, but Romeo hits two elbow smashes in an attempt to escape. However, Cross ducks a third and Romeo does a 180º due to the momentum and ends up being Northern Lights Suplexed by Cross for 2. - Cross attempts a Flying Crossbody Block, but Romeo catches him in midair and turns it into an awesome Swinging Powerslam for 2! - Cross applies a Dragon Sleeper and to try to escape it, Romeo runs toward the nearest ringpost and climbs up the turnbuckles. Cross, though, pulls him back toward the ring and - at the same time - sits down and delivers a picture-perfect Inverted DDT! - Cross hits the Cross Star Press (Standing Shooting Star Press) and then climbs up to the top buckle and signals for the Crossfire (Flying Shooting Star Leg Drop). However, Romeo gets back up and crotches him before climbing out to the apron and hitting a Springboard into Leaping Headscissors Takeover, sending Romeo forward somersaulting off of the turnbuckle and down to the mat below! Romeo covers for 2. - Romeo attempts the Kiss Goodnight (Kryptonic Krunch), but Cross' weight is too much and he flips back forward and then lifts Romeo into a crooked, draped position over his back. Cross hits an awesome looking Running Draped Back-to-Belly Crooked Slam (like Mike Modest does to Tony Jones during their WWF/E dark match in Beyond the Mat]) for 2! The finish comes when Cross attempts his Vertical Drop Brainbuster Suplex, but Romeo realizes that if he hits it, it will probably be the end for him, so he fights out of it and hits a Swinging Neckbreaker before bodyslamming Cross and climbing up to the top buckle. However, Cross gets up, crotches him, climbs up onto the buckles himself, and attempts his signature Super Tomakazi. However, Romeo fights out of the move and hits a Full Nelson into a Forward-Flying Sitout Inverted Powerbomb for the pinfall win! This bout is generall considered to to be the Match of the Night. 2. Interview w/ X Champion Chris Sabin - leads to confrontation w/ Frankie Kazarian WHY: Last week, Frankie Kazarian won a tremendous non-title match over X Champion Chris Sabin. I absolutely love the idea for this feud and if I was booking the show, I'd definitely continue building a feud between these two. INTERVIEW: Backstage, Goldylocks is interviewing NWA-TNA X Champion Chris "The Future" Sabin and when she asks him about his surprising loss to Frankie Kazarian last week. Sabin says that the loss was a fluke and that he's still the undisputed X Champion and that he won't be losing that title anytime soon. Suddenly, Kazarian enters the picture and confronts Sabin. He tells Sabin that his win over him last week was anything but a fluke and that the result saw him win because he is the better man. The two get into a heated argument and security is forced to break it up. 3. Mike Tenay apologizes to the fans and announces that David Young & Sonny Siaki (along with their valet, Tracy) missed their flight and won't be able to wrestle America's Most Wanted for the NWA World Tag Team Titles tonight, so instead of that match, we'll see Elix Skipper vs. James Storm. Tenay mentions that Young & Siaki will be at next week's NWA-TNA PPV, though. I'd rather Skipper vs. Storm and have it bring about The Amazing Red's return (see below) than have the Young/Siaki vs. AMW match that TNA announced on its last show occur. What I'd do next week is have Young & Siaki come to the show expecting to wrestle AMW, only to be told that - since they didn't attend the PPV last week (anotherwards, this week) - they have to earn back that title shot by beating a team like Konnan & Ron Killings, who I put over in my fantasy booking for this show (see below, also). 3. Elix Skipper vs. James Storm (w/ Chris Harris) WHY: For the last few months, America's Most Wanted (Harris & Storm) and Triple X (Christopher Daniels, Elix Skipper, & Ki) have been feuding with each other and last week in the first-ever Steel Cage match, AMW beat Triple X to win the NWA World Tag Team Titles. With this feud having lasted several months already, I figure that having Kid Romeo ally with AMW would add some more interest in this already heated rivalry. I was originally going to use Frankie Kazarian for this position, but since it seems like he's now getting involved in a feud with Chris Sabin, I decided to leave him with his program with Sabin. Then, The Amazing Red was my second choice, since he's wrestled several of the Triple X members in NWA-TNA (and other promotions) before. Although he is currently injured, I decided that having Red return and ally with AMW was a smart move to continue the heat in this feud. I'd make sure, though, that he wouldn't have to take any serious bumps and that for the most part, it'd be the Triple X members who would be taking the bumps. Red has wrestled all of the Triple X members in some form or another during his tenure in NWA-TNA and on his last appearance in the promotion (on May 21), he teamed with Justin Credible and Slash to beat all three members of Triple X in a six-man tag team match. Since Harris has been the more prominent singles wrestler in NWA-TNA so far, I booked Storm so that Storm's exposure and interest level with the fans is brought up to those of his partner, which gives their tag team as a whole more credibility. MATCH: The finish comes when Ki and Daniels run out to the ring and Ki distracts the referee, while Daniels enters the ring and attempts the Last Rites on Storm. However, Storm surprises him by lifting him up onto his shoulders and hitting the Eight Second Ride (Fireman's Carry into Stunner). Danies rolls out of the ring and when Storm turns back around, he is greeted by a gut kick from Skipper, who follows by setting Storm up for the Play of the Day. Storm, though, lifts Skipper up onto his shoulders in an Electric Chair hold, only to have Skipper counter with an Inverted Huracanrana. Skipper then sits Storm on the top ring rope and tries his rope-walk huracanrana, but Storm, sitting on the ropes, pushes Skipper off of the ropes and sends him flying out to ringside, taking out Daniels and Ki in the process. Once the three Triple X members get back up, Storm tries a Suicide Dive through the ropes, but the three Triple X members catch him and slam him down on the concrete floor. They then begin beating down on him as the referee rules the bout a DQ win for Storm. Triple X roll Storm back into the ring and continue to beat on him until Chris Harris runs out and tries to save his partner. He takes out Daniels and Skipper, but Ki knocks him down from behind, allowing Triple X to regain the advantage. Together, they beat down AMW until The Amazing Red, returning to NWA-TNA, runs out and assists AMW. He hits some of his signature moves (but doesn't take too many stiff bumps, since - like Ki - he's currently injured) and thereby sends Daniels and Skipper out of the ring, leaving Ki (who is currently unable to wrestle due to an injury) alone. Ki, though, smartly scurries out of the ring and retreats backstage with his two fellow Triple X members, all of whom are clearly frustrated after being punked out by Red. Back in the ring, Red helps Harris and Storm back to their feet and it's clear that a new alliance has been made. This sets up for a series of matches between various combinations of the team of The Amazing Red & America's Most Wanted (Chris Harris & James Storm) and Triple X (Christopher Daniels, Elix Skipper, & Low Ki). 4. Advertisements for NWATNA.com, NWA-TNA's sponsors, NWA-TNA merchandise, etc. air 5. Abyss & Kid Kash vs. Erik Watts & Trinity WHY: For the last month, Kash has been feuding with Watts & Trinity and even suffered an upset when he lost to Trinity in a one-on-one match. He and Watts battled last week and Kash won when the masked man, Abyss, attacked Watts behind the referee's back, setting him up for Kash to easily pin him. Abyss debuted a few ago by attacking Watts. Since then, he has continued targeting Watts and therefore has aided Kash several times. If I was booking the upcoming show, I'd have him finally compete in an official match and team with Kash to take on Watts & Trinity. Plus, in his latest "From the Inside" column, NWA-TNA employee Jeremy Borash announced that Abyss would in fact be making his in-ring debut on this upcoming week's show. Trinity can sufficiently hold her own against Kash, as she's proved before, so this match would give Abyss a chance to attempt to physically resolve his problems with Watts. MATCH: Kash and Trinity focus on each other for most of the match, while Abyss and Watts primarily grapple against each other. Highlights: - Trinity hits an Apron-Dive Huracanrana on Kash. - Kash attempts The Bankroll (Fisherman's Suplex Lift into Headbreaker), but Trinity counters it with an armdrag and follows with a Huracanrana! - Watts hits a Flying Plancha onto Abyss, taking the big man out at ringside! - Trinity hits a Tilt-a-Whirl Headscissors Takeover on Abyss. - Watts hits a Fameasser on Abyss for 2. - Trinity hits a Run-the-Ropes Tornado DDT on Kash for 2. - Abyss hits a Powerbomb into a Gory Guerrero Special on Watts for 2. The finish comes when Abyss tries to whip Watts from one ringpost to the opposite one, but Watts holds onto Abyss' hand, grabs his head, and tries to Russian Leg Sweep him into the ringpost (the one that they were just at). However, Watts isn't strong enough to perform the move, though, and Abyss lifts him up and hits his Swinging Sidewalk Slam, followed by a Flying Leg Drop for the pinfall win. Abyss leaves the ring area (along w/ Kash) without unmasking. 6. Justin Credible/Perry Saturn confrontation - Jerry Lynn also comes out WHY: A week and a half ago on NWA-TNA's PPV, Credible attacked Saturn during Saturn's match against Japan's Kenzo Suzuke. The two continued brawling after the bout was ruled a No Contest. Meanwhile, Credible and Lynn have been feuding for the last month and their rivalry is really heating up at this point. I figure that having Lynn be forced to stay away from Credible for a week would increase the heat in that feud and to do something with the Credible/Saturn feud, too. CONFRONTATION: Perry Saturn comes out and trashes Justin Credible for interfering in his match a few weeks ago. He calls out Credible (who grants his request and comes out to the ring) and challenges him to a match next week. Credible comes out and says that he already is busy with his feud against Jerry Lynn. However, Saturn makes a deal with him and asks that if Lynn is banned from ringside, would he agree to the bout? After re-thinking it, Credible agrees, but reiterates that Lynn must be banned from ringside or else he won't wrestle the match. 7. Hard 10 Tournament Final Round Match: New Jack vs. The Sandman WHY: These two are scheduled to wrestle this week in the final round of the Hard 10 Tournament, so there's really no way I can change that, since it's a tournament and the final match was booked for this show for awhile, I presume. As for why I'm involving Mike Sanders and Slash in the bout - Four weeks ago, New Jack beat Slash to advance in the Hard 10 Tournament. The next week, After a match between Jack's tag team partner, Shark Boy, and X Champion Chris Sabin, Sanders attacked Jack. Then, two weeks ago, Jack beat Sanders to advance to the final round of this tournament thanks to Shark Boy's help. Jack and Sandman once were allies in the Extreme Revolution stable, but that broke up a few weeks ago and he and Sandman therefore went their separate ways, but will cross paths in this match. NOTE: The scoring in this match will be done in this form: (a-b) when New Jack's score = a and Sandman's score = b. MATCH: Before the bout, the two shake hands with each other, thereby displaying excellent sportsmanship. This is a typical ECW-style brawl with little actual wrestling and a lot of brawling with weapons. Highlights: a trash can lid, a cookie sheet, crowbar, ring bell, steel chair, guardrail, ring steps, a golf club, computer keyboard, - Sandman flies through the ring ropes with a Suicide Dive to take out Jack at ringside! - Jack swings a crutch and hits a garbage can that he has put over Sandman's head with it. This gives Jack 1 point. (1-0) - Sandman, standing on the apron with Jack, applies an inverted facelock and leaps down onto the floor, bringing Jack down with him and DDTing Jack's head into the apron while he (Sandman) lands down on the ringside floor! Sandman gains 1 point. (1-1) - With both men standing on the ring steps, Sandman piledrives Jack onto the structure for a second point. (1-2) - Sandman White Russian Leg Sweeps Jack into the ringside guardrail for yet another point. (1-3) - Jack lays the garbage can at ringside, climbs onto the apron, applies an inverted facelock on Sandman (who's standing on the ringside floor), and delivers a Tornado DDT that drives Sandman face-first into the garbage can for 1 more point! (2-3) - Sandman Sidewalk Slams Jack off of the apron and through a ringside table for 5 points! (2-8) He then rolls Jack back into the ring. - With both men now in the ring, Sandman whips Jack into the opposite turnbuckle and charges after him, but Jack leaps onto the middle buckle, springs backwards, and knocks out the incoming Sandman with a surprisingly decent looking back elbow. Jack then goes out to ringside and gets a staple gun from a fan and uses it to staple Sandman's forehead open! Holy Sh*t! Jack gains 1 point. (3-8) - Jack, standing next to Sandman, (both are standing on the apron) grabs the back of his foe's head leaps off of the apron, sending Sandman through a ringside table with a Neckbreaker off of the apron! Jack gains 5 points and ties it up at 8 points each! (8-8) Then, when the two get back up, Jack Front Suplexes Sandman face-first onto the steel guardrail to gain another point. (9-8) The two then brawl into the crowd, where Jack uses a crowbar to bash across Sandman's back, bringing his score up to 10. (10-8) Knowing that he only has to score one more point to win the bout, Jack grabs a steel chair and looks to chairshot Sandman, but Sandman ducks and when Jack charges at him again, drop toe holds him, causing him to fall face-first into the chair and the dirty, concrete floor. (10-9) A fan then give Sandman a Budweiser beer can, which he opens up, gulps down quickly, and then spits the contents of into Jack's face before using the can to punch down Jack to gain another point, thereby tying the bout up at 10! (10-10) The two then gradually brawl back towards the ring, where Jack gains back control and drops Sandman out of a Fireman's Carry so that he lands face-first on the ring apron, giving Jack another point. (11-10) Jack then rolls Sandman back into the ring - Sandman hits a Running Tree of Woe Sliding Dropkick (a la Tommy Dreamer or [Yoshihiro] Tajiri when they were in ECW) that knocks a steel chair into Jack's face to gain another point. (11-11) - Sandman whips Jack into the opposite corner and then charges toward him, but Jack steps forward a few feet and catches Sandman with a Hiptoss that sends him crashing into the ringpost! Jack gains 1 point. (12-11) Sandman tumbles through the ropes and out to ringside. Jack exits the ring, sets up a table at ringside, and lays Sandman on it. Jack then climbs back into the ring and onto the top turnbuckle so that he's facing out towards the table that Sandman is on. It looks like Jack is going to hit a Flying Splash out of the ring and through the table, but before he can do so, Mike Sanders & Slash run out to the ring. Slash climbs up onto the ring apron and distracts the referee (along with New Jack), allowing for Sanders to enter the ring, sneak up behind Jack, and crotch him on the top turnbuckle. Sanders quickly exits the ring at about the same time that Slash stops distracting the referee. Sandman now gets up off of the table and - after grabbing a computer keyboard from a fan - climbs up onto the apron and, while holding the keyboard in front of Jack's face, Bulldogs Jack off of the apron and through the table, driving his foe's face into both the keyboard and the table in the process! Sandman gains five more points and therefore wins the bout and the tournament, 12-16! After the bout, Sandman leaves following a short celebration and Shark Boy then comes out and helps New Jack backstage. 8. In-ring promo by Shane Douglas w/ "The Sinister Minister" James Mitchell; Raven gets involved WHY: Two weeks ago, Douglas made his debut in NWA-TNA by attacking Raven and helping cost him an NWA World Heavyweight Title Match against AJ Styles and Jeff Jarrett. A week later, the two brawled during the show's main event and then last week, Douglas & Glenn Gilberti (a.k.a. Disco Inferno) fought to a No Contest with Raven & Jeff Jarrett when Douglas introduced the man who he was referring to in a promo a few weeks before when he had made "a deal with the devil" - "The Sinister Minister" James Mitchell, who threw a fireball at Raven as the show went off of the air. This segment will feature the aftermath and repercussions of Mitchell's debut. PROMO/CONFRONTATION: Shane Douglas comes out rips into the crowd and Raven by bragging about how he had given a hint to them and Raven about who he was bringing in, but neither party got the hint and Raven had to pay for that mistake. He then introduces his devilish new manager, James Mitchell, who comes out to the ring, enters it, and hugs Douglas, his supposed new client. Douglas then vows to finish the quest that he set out on a decade (well nine years, but Douglas can get away with a one year long difference) ago - to destroy the illustrious history of the NWA and its World Heavyweight Title - and says that together, he and the evilest man in wrestling, James Mitchell, will accomplish that feat. Raven's music hits and out he comes, wearing some bandages to cover part of his face, due to the fireball attack from last week. He says that before he gets to Douglas, he wants to talk about Mitchell. He says that Douglas called him the "evilest man in wrestling," but that Douglas must've forgotten his time in ECW, since its quite common knowledge that no man can ever be as evil as Raven can be. At this point, Raven turns toward the crowd and does his old crucifix pose, with his arms widespread. The crowd pops as Raven turns his attention back to Douglas. He says that if Douglas wants to find out what evil truly is, Raven would be more than happy to give him a first rate education in Evil 101 via a "Raven's Clockwork Orange House of Fun" when he returns to in-ring work after his wounds heel from the fireball attack. Raven turns his back on Douglas as the fans achknowledge their interest in seeing such a match, but that turns out to be a mistake, as Douglas attacks him from behind and begins repeatedly stomping on him. He hits the Pittsburgh Plunge (Fishsermanbuster) and then attempts the Franchiser (Dropdown Shoulder Jawbreaker), but Raven delivers several elbow smashes to the side of Douglas' head to escape the hold and then runs off of the ropes and knocks Douglas down with a lunging Forearm Smash! Raven starts relentlessly assaulting Douglas in the corner, but Mitchell gets his attention for a moment and distracts him long enough for Douglas to pull his signature metal chain out of his boot and attack Raven with it from behind. Douglas continues beating on Raven and choking him with the chain before exiting the ring with Mitchell and heading backstage, leaving Raven (who was already injured before this segment due to the fireball attack) lying in a pool of his own blood. Douglas and Mitchell exchange evil laughs towards Raven's direction as they disappear from view through the curtain. When a woozy Raven finally makes it back up to his feet, he receives a standing ovation from the fans before heading backstage. 9. The Gathering (C.M. Punk & Julio Dinero) vs. Konnan & Ron Killings WHY: Two weeks ago on PPW, Punk costed London his X Divison Title Match against champion Chris Sabin when he DDT'd Punk, allowing Sabin to easily pin him to retain his title. On the other hand, Konnan nor Killings have wrestled on an NWA-TNA show in the last two weeks, so they need to get back onto TV. I think it's pretty logical to have The Gathering - who is Raven's backup force - wrestle against Konnan & Killings. MATCH: Highlights: - Killings tries a stiff kick, but Punk catches his leg and delivers a Neckbreaker onto it, which is a signature move of his. Punk follows by attempting the Punkhandle (Pumphandle) Piledriver, but Killings escapes by lifting Punk into a draped position over his back and hittinig a stiff Double-Leg Slam and then follows with a Handspring Leg Drop for 2! - Konnan ducks a Thrust Kick and hits a gut kick followed by a Sitout Face Plant on Dinero for 2. - Dinero tries the Dream Theater (Tornado DDT into Cutter) on Konnan, but Konnan refuses to be taken down and instead brings Dinero back down onto the mat (after he has swung around in the process of trying to do the move) and hits a T-Bone Suplex. - Killings attempts his Inverted Russian Leg Sweep, but Punk counters with a Jawbreaker and then performs a bridging German Suplex for 2. The finish comes when Punk climbs up to the top buckle and signals for a Moonsault onto Konnan, but Paul London (looking for revenge from one and a half weeks ago) runs out and - from the ringside concrete floor - throws a chair at Punk, knocking him into a crotched position on the top buckle. Konnan gets back up to his feet, climbs up to the top buckle where Punk is, and hits a Spider German Suplex. He then applies the Tequila Sunrise for the submission victory. After the bout, Punk sees London in the entrance aisleway smiling and becomes incensed with anger. The two stare each other down as the screen fades into a backstage segment... 10. Backstage Promo by Abyss WHY: The masked man, who is apparently named, "Abyss," has been feuding with Erik Watts (as described above) since he debuted about a month ago. This promo continues the feud between these two and increases the heat, intensity, and interest in the rivalry. PROMO: Abyss - wearing his mask - says that he proved tonight that he was more than comfortable dismantling the "rookie" Erik Watts. He says that he's been watching NWA-TNA's PPVs recently and was disgusted with the way that Watts suddenly burst onto the scene and became such a big shot. He came to NWA-TNA to teach Watts some much needed respect and says taht he succeeded in beginning to do so tonight. He says that he was proud to team with Kid Kash and that he can understand why the fans dislike Kash. He says that Kash has been forced to watch his own back for three different people who've had their eyes on him - Goldylocks, Trinity, and Watts - and that he therefore has been caused to do some things he wouldn't normally want to do (such as beat up women like Goldylocks or Trinity). To sum up his reasons for coming to NWA-TNA, Abyss says that he's here to teach Watts how to pay his dues in this business and to support Kid Kash, who up until now was being targeted non-stop by three different foes. Before he ends his promo, Abyss unmasks and reveals himself as the innovative, former-ECW, WWF/E, and XPW superstar "Vicious" Vic Grimes, who apparently has decided to jump to NWA-TNA due to XPW's recent hiatus! 11. A 10 minute clip of Mike Tenay's interview with STING that was conducted two shows ago is aired. 12. 2 vs. 1 Handicap Match: D'Lo Brown vs. The Harris Brothers (Don Harris & Ron Harris) WHY: D'Lo and AJ Styles were tag team partners a month ago, but now they are bloodthirsty enemies. Even before he won won the NWA World Heavyweight Title two weeks ago in a three-way match that also included Jeff Jarrett and Raven, Styles has squared off with D'Lo a few times. Three and a half weeks ago, they had a teriffic match where D'Lo pulled out several moves that most fans weren't even aware he was able to do! Then, last week, an impromptu brawl between the two resulted in Vince Russo helping Styles beat down D'Lo with a chair. D'Lo has no love loss for Russo, seeing as how one week ago, a snide comment from Russo resulted in D'Lo attacking him, only to then be attacked by Styles. Since The Harris Brothers are both uppercard heels on Russo's side, it seems logical that Russo would use his creative power to book D'Lo in this match. MATCH: The Harris Brothers use their numbers advantage to keep D'Lo in their control for much of the bout, although D'Lo does find some openings and uses them smartly by going on the offense. Nonetheless, he is never able to gain complete control of the match and is always looking behind his back for one of The Harris Brothers to attack him. The finish comes when D'Lo counters a Powerbomb by Don into a Huracanrana and then knocks him out of the ring with a leaping heelkick. He turns around and ducks an incoming Big Boot from Ron and hits him with the Sky High (Rydeen Bomb). He goes for the pin, but AJ Styles runs out, climbs up onto the apron, and distracts both him and the referee. D'Lo gets back up and argues with AJ, but when Styles swings his NWA World Heavyweight Title belt, D'Lo ducks and it hits the referee, knocking him out. D'Lo then, grabs the ring ropes and uses them to catapult Styles into the ring via a sunset flip. He repeatedly punches Styles and then tries to whip him into the ropes, but Styles reverses and whips D'Lo. Ron is back up by this point and because D'Lo is coming right toward him, lifts up his opponent and tries a spinebuster, but D'Lo uses the momentum to swing himself around and drill Ron with a Swinging DDT. Styles then charges at him, but D'Lo knocks him down with a leaping heelkick. However, D'Lo is finally grounded by a running lariat from Don, who has now re-entered the ring. The Harris Brothers now hold D'Lo (each by his arms), while AJ climbs up to the top buckle and prepares to deliver some move onto D'Lo. However, before he can, Jeff Jarrett, runs out, climbs up onto the apron, and pushes AJ off of the top buckle and down onto the ringside concrete below. D'Lo hiptosses Don and then drags Ron towards the ropes and whips him towards the opposite set, causing him to release his hold on his arm in the process. Ron bounces off and attacks with a Big Boot, but D'Lo ducks and he hits Don, knocking him out of the ring. Ron turns back around and charges D'Lo, but receives a Sky High, followed by a Lo' Down (Flying Frog Splash) for the pinfall win by D'Lo! Meanwhile, Jarrett is brawling with Styles in the entrance aisleway. Jarrett delivers The Stroke on Styles onto the NWA World Heavyweight Title, which is laying on the floor. However, when D'Lo wins the match, Jarrett turns his attention to the ring and puts his arms up to celebrate D'Lo's victory. Styles uses that moment intelligently, though, as he grabs his title and runs back to the locker room. Jarrett turns around to see Styles running backstage, but realizes he can't catch up to him, so he goes and celebrates with D'Lo, who has by now exited the ring. The duo of D'Lo and Jarrett head back to the locker room victorious as The Harris Brothers - who has recovered by now - lean over the ring ropes and yell in frustration toward them. Speaking of Mondo, why wasn't he on the show?

Yeah, but there's a difference between wristlocks and mutilation. Mondo/Messiah got over in EPIC by bleeding buckets, but putting on a solid wrestling match in the process. Hell, I'm fine with having a guy cut another dude open with light tubes - I've seen it plenty of times and I've seen it done in many ways, but htere's more than one way to do it. Instead of just braeking a pane of glass over a guy's head, why not have the guy get punched by the other guy, the othery guy takes the pane, but when he turns his back, his oppoennt superkicks it into his face. Or house about cutting the guy open with the pane by piledriving him on it? I know this has all been done in death matches, including in CZW, and it's how Kanemura, Yamakawa, Honma, etc. converted garbage death matches like Pogo/Onita into matches that had some wrestling in them. Instead of just staple gunning a dude's forehead, have his opponent hold the staple gun against his forehead and then forearm it into his head. Every promotion that uses death matches usually use wrestling moves within them, not just straight out mutilation - they use wrestling to actually execute the mutilation. "As for Bailey, dude's already got a pierced tongue, so he must like having it violated again and again. Of course, when your gimmick is "19 year old with a death wish,"...." LOL I'm looking forward to seeing the tape and seeing Zandig and Messiah finally square off, since they haven't wrestled since Messiah's CZW debut.

That's one thing I think CZW and sometimes (but not as much) IWA-MS goes too far with. In no form whatsoever is that wrestling. At least when New Jack jumps off a balcony or cuts somebody with a sickle, he does it with style, and at least the bumps from earlier in this match were wrestling moves (huracanranas, for example) onto weapons. That's just utterly fucked up, but I do envy them for being able to take that shit, but at the same time, they're risking life by doing that. One can take a rana onto thumbtacks and take precautions not to die. Unless they completely fake it, it's luck that determines if one survives when they're tongue is stapled, since the tongue bleeds more than just about any other bodily organ and it's not utterly uncommon to hear of someone dying from getting their tongue seriously cut. And it sucks that Webb didn't win. He vs. Mondo would've been awesome to see.
