This makes 3 straight Impacts I've watched from start to finish. That hasn't happened since early this year. The product as a whole seems to be focused and has a direction. I couldn't say that a month or so ago. Things could still go to shit, but I've enjoyed what I've seen since BFG.

According to ProWrestling.net, last night's show did a 1.2 rating.

What happened to Cornette? Is he done with TNA now that Mick Foley is "The Executive Shareholder", or whatever they're calling their authority position? Decent show, though.
-
LOL at Joe's facial expression when he shook ODB's hand.
-
The funny thing is, this isn't the first stable or tag team in TNA to use "mafia" in its name. Remember the Voodoo Kin Mafia? I'd like to forget.
-
What happened to D-Lo Brown? I don't think he's been on T.V. in 2 months. Is he hurt, or is it the infamous "creative has nothing for you" excuse?
-
I wouldn't call those minor, but whatever. I'm glad I just don't blindly accept whatever illogical garbage this company throws at us, but we'll have to agree to disagree. I just think those who don't have a problem with these types of things shouldn't jump on others because they do.

The Primo thing with him jumping from Raw to SD happened within a span of 2 weeks, not 8 months, so an explanation was in order. And you're right, ECW did have a talent exchange with SD, but they don't anymore, so they shouldn't be jumping from SD to ECW. Maybe things like logic, continuity, and attention to detail don't bother some, but they obviously bother others. You may want to keep that in mind the next time your tripping all over yourself to defend lazy/bad writing like your employed by The WWE.

It's one night, for one match. WHO CARES? What about the countless other times they've done shit like this? (And I'm just talking about the past 6 months or so.) If Vince and Co. can't fill up the shows with wrestlers from that show's own roster on a regular basis, or be bothered to come up with at least a half assed explantion for why a superstar(s) in on a show they wouldn't otherwise be on, then what's the point of the brand extension? Kane and Rey are in the match because most kids are going to be out trick-or-treating, but if they see Rey Rey is going to be on Smackdown they might try to get home early enough to watch him. And why should they have to offer an explanation every time, when it's always the same reason? "The GM from the other show allowed Superstar X to come over to this show tonight. We are excited to see Superstar X and we thank said GM." EDIT: Majority of the time, they do give that explanation. Obviously that's not going to be in the spoilers unless the person who wrote them was sitting right behind the announce table and heard the commentators say it. Wait and see if anything is said on the show before complaining. You mean like they bothered explaining how Primo was on Raw signing a Raw contract and telling Adamle that he can't stand his brother, and then literally 2 weeks later he's on SD teaming with Carlito? Or how they explained why Chavo and Bam Neely are allowed to keep jumping from SD to ECW? Maybe they will bother coming up with something, but you'll have to pardon me if I don't give them the benefit of the doubt.

That sucks. I was hoping to see a "best of" type series between Mysterio and Bourne. Well, we'll still probably see it, but not anytime soon.

Character Moments That Now Make You Cringe or Shudder
Chazz replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in General Wrestling
When Vince McMahon was "killed" in a limo explosion after The '07 Draft on Raw, and on Smackdown that week they had various superstars' cut promos "remembering" Mr. McMahon, just like when Brian Pillman, Owen Hart, and Eddie Gurrero, died in real life. Looking back, it was even more cringe worthy considering what would happen with Benoit and family just a little over a week later. -
they would never of worked as a heel/face
Chazz replied to chrislatimer's topic in General Wrestling
Al Snow as a heel in late '99. He tried, but it just didn't work. -
Ha! Forgot that Martin Querns was in this movie.

Wow, I never heard that story before. That was awesome of Saturn to do something like that. I hope he's allright as well.

Considering that Roethlisberger threw 4 interceptions and the Giants d-line knocked him down at least a dozen times, I think it's a pretty big stretch to say that they just handed the game to the Giants, unless you consider "opponent forces complete breakdowns in pass protection and the QB's choices" to be a minor thing. I'll give you the hilarious safety, though. Stupid penalties, poor decisions by Rothlisberger thinking he has 7 minutes to throw the ball, and conservative play-calling lead to The Steelers downfall,(not to mention the amount of players that were hurt), and defense played great and held their vaunted running game to virtually nothing. So no, I don't think that's a big stretch to say they handed the game to The Giants.

Horrible game by The Steelers. They just handed the fucking thing to The Giants. Typical "let's play not to lose" attitude instead of playing to win. Sometimes the better team doesn't win, and this was one of those times. Just terrible.
-
Great win for Penn State, and not just because they're still in The National Championship hunt. Mainly, I don't have worry about Ohio St. sucking it up in The National Championship game for a 3rd straight year. Whew!

And here I thought nothing could be worse than losing to Bowling Green. Giving up 54 points to fucking Rutgers at home?!? I'd fire Wannstedt for that display alone.

Impact goes live for one night only on 10/23
Chazz replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in TNA Wrestling
Or when other wrestlers have done stuff like this on other shows for the last 10 years? -
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Ron Villone play for The St.Louis Cards this past season?

The show itself was "eh" at best, but everything else looked so minor league.(Although The HD looked good.) It felt like I was transported back to 1997 watching an episode of WWF Shotgun Saturday Night. -
Just saw this this past Monday. Concept wise, it's really nothing we haven't seen, as it's basically 28 Days Later meets Diary Of The Dead. That being said, it really was a fun movie to watch. It felt like I was in a haunted house type attraction at times. Anybody else see it?

Why I Didn't Give a Shit about the Last Ten World Series
Chazz commented on Bored's blog entry in So Very Bored
For as big a market as New York is, didn't The 2000 W.S. between The Yankees and Mets bomb in the ratings? That's why I laugh at assumptions that Phil vs TB will do horrible numbers.
