It might as well be Podunck, Arkansas. He lives In Delmont, PA, and I live in an even smaller town named New Alexandria, PA.(A whopping 15 minute time distance from each other.) Both are located about 30-35 miles east of Pittsburgh. (Go Steelers!) The co-worker did bring up about how he should get protection overnight due to the fact that Delmont is a small town with little or no criminal activity, unlike N.Y., L.A., or even The'Burgh. I told him I once again agree with what he was saying, but that fact alone may work against him. A lot of small towns have either a skeleton crew working the graveyard shift or no mid. shift at all. I could see the Delmont Police telling him that they'd keep an eye out for him, but they couldn't afford to post an officer or two outside his house all night on a threat that may never happen. He insisted that was The Delmont Police Dept.'s problem. I shall see shortly how this thing plays out.

It seems that everytime I'm reading a piece of news that was broke first by The Torch Newsletter there are always more than a few posters who question the validity of the item. "Keller Is making things up again" seems to be a popular phrase among some when finding out The Torch was the source of a particular news story. My question Is has there been a case or cases In the past where The Torch has done this? If not, why all the hate? Just curious.

You took the words right out of my mouth. A friend of mine quits watching Raw at the start of MNF and doesn't stop until the season ends. I'm sure he's not the only one.

Aside from Keeler's status, It would also be nice If they addressed what happened to Erin Driscoll. If I remember correctly, she only left for the "day" to deal with her daughter's suicide at the infamous CTU clinic. Shouldn't she still be running CTU?

Does anybody know If It Is legal to beat up someone who has refused to leave your property when asked to? A friend of mine just told me a story that happened to him a couple of weeks ago In which his sister's boyfriend came over their parent's house at 2:30a.m.-3:00a.m. uninvited and started screaming and yelling about his parent's not letting his sister be Independent of the family or some such shit. The mom and dad told him several times to leave, to which he apparently refused. Anyhow, they ended up calling the cops on the kid to finally get him off their front lawn. My friend told me that he regrets not beating the shit out of the kid when he legally had the chance. I told him that he and his parent's were better off calling the cops just to be safe, as I don't know for sure If he wouldn't be held liable for his beating. I have heard of the right to defend one's property, but am not sure If this falls In that category. Anybody know for sure?

I'm talking about Inside of the actual bar or nightclub, not the public bathroom. If you have or know somebody that has, what happened? Did the owner's make you clean It up, ban you from the bar/club, or call The Police? I know this Is a pretty stupid/strange topic, but I was just watching an ep of MTV's "True Life: I Own A Summer Share" In which the main person the documentary focused on puked inside of a club after drinking himself silly, then preceeded to casually leave the club on his own. (Of course since It was pre-taped It was probably heavily edited, so you never know.) I just couldn't see the owner's of any bar/club, as big or small as It might be, cleaning up another person's vommit night In and night out without some kind of consequences. I usually don't frequent that many bars or clubs, thus the question. Anybody?

This topic reminds me of that Married...With Children ep where Al is sued by a burglar because Al beat him up when he caught him trying to steal stuff. The burglar ended up winning the suit. (Al than decked him and sued him for hurting his fist on his face.) I guess It wasn't that far fetched after all.

Anybody that I ever asked this particular question to seemed to give several different answers. They Included: -Go even slower and tap on the brakes until they pass you or turn off (This seemed to be the most popular) -Pull over and let them pass. -Flip them off as they are doing It and/or make a threatning gesture that Indictaes that they back off. -Wait until they try and pass you and then speed up.(Preferably In a no passing zone.) -Ignore them and continue to drive as you normally would. Do any of you fall Into these categories? If not, what do you do when your tailgated?

SNL "Lazy Sunday" Link from Last Night...

Best Digital Short Ever. Speaking of SNL, where's Barron's report at? -
If were factoring in continuity, then It couldn't be Gina for 2 reasons: 1.) When The Carver started to strike at the end of last Season, Gina was In a Hospital near dying of AIDS. Christian also ran multiple tests on her to confirm that she was HIV positive. 2.) When The Carver kidnapped Kimber on her Wedding Day, Gina was In the front row of The Church, (Along with Julia, I might add), at the same time Sean was just going to get Kimber to walk her down the aile. There Is no way she could have abducted Kimber and then made her way back to her seat In that amount of time. If The Carver turns out to be Gina, I believe these 2 Issues will have to be addressed In order to make It plausible.

Coach and Eugene were also G.M.'s for a day last year.

If they Insist on keeping The GM Character on their shows, I'm just glad It finally looks like this will be the end of Bishoff's run In that position. I have nothing against him, but his act has grown beyond stale In the 3+ years he has been Raw's G.M.

What was that "honor code" thing that Costa told Julia when Julia asked him why he hasn't tried to sleep with her yet? I guess that only applies to when he's trying to fuck women.
-
I'm surprised they didn't have Sarah from RW Philly on. She's probably one of the only contestants who could give Veronica and Trishelle some competition in the category of sleeping with the most cast members In a season.

At my job whenever you give your 2 weeks notice, all of your sick days and vacation/personal time Is wiped away. If you call In sick or whatever during that time period, you simply don't get paid for that day(s). Yeah, my job sucks.
-
A friend of mine was telling me the other day that he ended up quitting his job after he had a fight with his boss about something or other. Apparently said boss wasn't too pleased on his decision to walk right then and there as opposed to giving the customary 2 weeks notice. (I actually agree with his boss here, but whatever.) Before my friend could exit, the boss told him that if he was smart he would forget he ever worked there, and to not put his boss's name as a working reference In the event he ever wanted to work elsewhere again. I always thought It was Illegal to badmouth former employess to possible future employers? I realize that they don't have to say anything good about you, but they can't say anything bad, either. Now I have some people telling me that If he was stupid enough to list his former place of employment as well as his former boss who told him what would happen to him if he did, then It would be perfectly allright. Does anybody know for sure?
-
I don't think The Carver could be Liz, either. Whoever He/She Is was much too tall and slender.
-
We had 3 people where I work quit and failed to give 2 weeks notice over the course of 6 months. Since my place of employment Is 24/7, this ended up screwing over a lot of other people. When I was talking with a co-worker about the situation, I told them I hope our boss would tell their possible future employers that they failed to give proper 2 weeks notice If they would call. The coworker told me that would be badmouthing a former employee to a perspective future employer. I said how the hell could that be considered badmouthing when It actually happened and could be proven? That Isn't and opinion, It's a fact. Still some people Insist that something like this would be Illegal. Whatever.

With Gurrero's untimely death as well as Batista's Injury leaving 2 huge void's on an already thin roster, I wouldn't be surprised If "by special order of Vince McMahon/Board of Directors" one or two upper/ top tier babyfaces from Raw get "drafted" over to Smackdown. I.E. Shelton Benjamin, Michaels, or Rob Van Dam.

I was watching an old episode on "Cops" the other day that featured the police taking a call to a white trash trailerpark in where a woman and her 18/19 year old son who lived there with her were having an argument about something or other. When the police officer arrived at the house he almost instantly put the kid in handcuffs, but never said the kid was under arrest or read him his rights. He told the kid and his mother that he was putting him in the cuffs for his own saftey as well as everyone else's. When all was calm, he let the kid out of his cuffs and told him that if his mother called him again he would be arrested and taken to jail. Although I agree with why The Officer put the kid in cuffs, especially considering the officer answered the call by himself, but was what he did actually legal? I always thought that if the cops slap the cuffs on you that you had to be under arrest. I never heard anything about the above, but then again I'm obviously no Criminal Law major. Does anybody know anything about this?
-
I thought so. I'm just surprised that some ambulance chasing attorney hasn't tried to dispute this in court as this violating someone's civil rights by being "Illegally detained" or some other type of bullshit.
-
Agreed. I like how Detective McGraw gets slashed up by The Carver and apparently has vanished. I like this show, but It seems as The Writers have A.D.D. or something.

If a person tries passing you on a backroad or any road where there Is a posted no passing zone, and you speed up so they can't pass you, and that person ends up either wrecking his own car or slams Into another oncoming vechicle, can you be held liable as well? My friend always does this to other cars that tailgate him and then tries to pass him on backroads or no passing zones. I told him that one of these days he's going to find himself in some serious trouble If one of the above scenario's happens. He claims that since these people take It upon themselves to Illegally try to pass In posted no passing zone's, then they have nobody to blame except themselves if they wreck/and or wreck Into someone. Does anybody happen to know for sure?

I'm talking mostly about getting the people back who are habitually late or call off at the last minute leaving you stuck. I work In a 24 hr Group Home for Delinquent Youth, so much like at a hospital or factory, I'm pretty much screwed If one of the above happens. I have 2 questions for anybody this has ever happened to: 1.) What did you do about it? 2.) Did it ever stop? Thanks!

Who Is J.B. Smoove? He seems to have more talent and charisma than a lot of the cast members (i.e. Finesse, Samburg, etc.)
