Considering The Colons and Miz/Morrison have been feuding for a month- I think there's pretty good reason for a tag match between the teams. It's pretty refreshing to see a tag title match with two real teams. The last time the tag titles were defended at Wrestlemania was WM22- Kane/Big Show vs. Carlito/Masters....two short-lived, thrown together tag teams. Before that they just threw Fatal 4 Way tag matches onto the card from Raw and Smackdown at WMXX. So, I think it's good to see a match that's been built up too for the tag titles as opposed to throwing in the other two tag teams in the WWE just to have them there. My biggest complaints with WMXX and WM2000- were that they tried to throw as many wrestlers on the card as they could. At WMXX we ended up with two fatal four way tag matches and a Cruiserweight Title open. WM2000 didn't have a singles match outside of TERRI VS. THE KAT (and they even threw Val Venis, Moolah, and Mae Young into that one). It was overbooked to feature irrelevant matches with teams like Head Cheese, Bossman/Buchanan, Godfather/D'lo, and Rikishi/Kane....throw in the Hardcore Invitational and was there anyone that didn't wrestle at that show? Maybe it's a nice little thing for the talent to get two minutes of ring time at Wrestlemania, but it's all forgettable. What I like at the WMXXV card so far is that it seems pretty well balanced- grudge matches, championship matches, and just a couple novelty matches. Nothing is really throw-away. The Jericho match won't be a classic wrestling match- but it will be fun to see and it'll have the celebrity thing. The diva battle royal is a lot better than the embarrassing Playboy matches we've seen over the last several years. Everything is being built pretty well, outside of the IC championship match- but it's just good to see the IC title there and the simple challenge has a pretty cool old school vibe. I'd rather see a simple challenge than them spark up a stupid storyline for it. My biggest gripe is the World Championship triple-threat....there isn't really anyone I want to see win. My biggest hope is that Edge will spear Vickie and end things with her. Cena lost the Chamber match fairly and got outsmarted in the rematch. And why didn't he just save his rematch for WM if he really wanted to wrestle at WM for the title? The Jeff/Matt buildup is lackluster too, but they can always just have a really good match and we won't look back on the buildup (just how we never think about the Rock/Stone Cold/Debra angle). And I do hope the ECW Title is there- that will complete the card for me.

Aaaaand Kizarny is gone- per WWE.com. They really should have just taken care of this with one big spring cleaning release....poor Hawkins and Ryder must be terrified.

It seems Ryan Braddock is the latest cut.

Now, I lived in Russia last year at this time I wasn't following wrestling. But wasn't a triple threat match made with almost the same story last year? Cena was number one contender....Orton got disqualified in their title match. Someone else became number one contender....but Cena found his way into the match? For some reason Triple Threat matches for championships seem anti-climatic for me at Wrestlemania- granted they've now done three of them since the brand extension. What bugs me the most is that the same story-line is used to form them. I'd even prefer it if they made it a four way match. Put Rey Mysterio in there- he's been working hard lately.

I saw a rumor for a 25-woman Battle Royal, past and present divas. That'd be cool to see.

I think the plans have changed a lot because of Batista's injury and other opportunities popping up. It seemed for a while that Batista/Cena was the plan. Then possibilities of Hogan, Austin, and even Mickey Rourke being involved kept changing things. All things considered- they're still building solid matches with interesting storylines. Edge vs. Big Show caught me off guard just because I didn't expect Big Show in a championship match. I'm not really sure what's going on yet...they shouldn't and can't turn Vickie face....they shouldn't turn Edge either. But, at least it makes sense dating back to Big Show and Vickie aligning at Unforgiven. Maybe we'll see some more stuff from Edge like we saw before Summerslam. I'm hoping we can get a US Championship Match or a Tag Title match- I'm just hoping there's time for it. IF the card has two championship matches, Money in the Bank, Taker/HBK, a Jericho/legend match, and Cena/Hogan...that's a pretty full card of matches that should all get a good amount of time.

And it could actually be a cool story line. Edge and Triple H can confront each other on Smackdown about who is the top champion. They'll feud and agree to a Champion vs. Champion match for Wrestlemania. But Orton won the Rumble and Cena still has a rematch clause to challenge Edge- setting up the three title matches at Wrestlemania. Of course...Triple H wants to fight Orton anyways but...yeah, it would work.

I'm for a unification match. A few weeks ago when it waslooking like it would be Orton/Cena and HHH/Edge I had mixed feelings. Orton/Cena seems like the big match of this generation. In my opinion this is the biggest match that could main event Wrestlemania. But I really didn't want to see a Triple H/Vickie Guerrero feud. The way it's looking now (Cena/Edge, HHH/Orton) is okay....the HHH/Orton/Stephanie story should be interesting. Cena/Edge will also be a good feud. I just feel they are missing out on the Cena/Orton match at Wrestlemania. I'd love to see Cena/Edge happen and HHH/Orton happen- with the winners of both matches meeting in the main event. I don't necessarily know if it's a good idea to combine the titles. Maybe the winner will carry both titles and defend them seperately.

....Did Edge accidentally call Cena"Mick" or was I hearing things?

It seems like the WWE is always in a rut after Wrestlemania....just replaying the same feuds that were going into Wrestlemania. I always felt like Wrestlemania main events quickly being repeated at Backlash and Judgement Day kind of cheapened the importance of Wrestlemania. Hopefully the quick draft after Wrestlemania will break this up a bit. ....Oh, and I'm not sure it's been mentioned before. Judging by WWE.com's calendar- One Night Stand is now called "Extreme Rules".

With Jericho going into a pretty mainstream program for Wrestlemania- this could be interesting. Assuming Jericho isn't punished and taken out of the Mickey Rourke match, WWE might get even more media attention for this angle. I can see it being brought up on Raw, Jericho publicly "apologizing", and Mickey using it as a reason to actually fight Jericho.

I really think the highest profile match they can pull off for the WWE Title match is The Hardys vs. Edge and Christian with both titles on the line in a TLC match...as someone had thought up before. It has the history and while we've seen it before....we haven't seen it for a long time or at this level. Triple H vs. Edge just doesn't have a very epic feel- though they're kind of building to it with the HHH/Vickie stuff. There are plenty of ways they could do an interesting build for that tag match (or even a 4 way version of that match). It doesn't even have to involve the Rumble....give that to Orton. HHH has to be somewhere....but I'd rather it be against the Undertaker. I'd be interested to see a triple threat with Hunter/HBK/Undertaker....with both HHH and hBK fighting to end the streak. Maybe some scenario where JBL is paying HBK to end the streak and HHH is disgusted by the whole thing. Just some ideas...

Looking for a quick answer and I couldn't find it quick with a Google search. Sorry if this has been brought up already but... I just bought Rock Band 2 as a Christmas present for Wii. I bought the special edition with all the instruments. I was wondering if these instruments would work with other games like Guitar Hero World Tour... if we ever want to pick that up. Anyone know for sure? All I could find is that Guitar Hero instruments work with Rock Band 2.

WWE Raw - December 8, 2008: The Return of the Slammys
JRE replied to Thanks for the Fish's topic in The WWE Folder
So....Armageddon has 4 matches? -
WWE.com reports for the tournament: Kingston vs. Kane Mysterio vs. Miz Finlay vs. Morrison Punk vs. Snitsky
-
Wow....wrestlers that have been out since Summerslam took the WWE and World Titles in one night.
-
Almost thought that was an HLA shirt. Kozlov/HHH would have been an acceptable match under normal circumstances (I mean, they never put much focus on a Kozlov/HHH feud anyways)- they blew it by circumstance.
-
Can they really not think of something better than R-K-Foes? That doesn't even make sense.
-
Cody looks like such a jobber.
-
If they decide to do a face HHH vs. face Taker feud for 'Mania I could see HHH/Undertaker vs. Edge and Christian at No Way Out. He'll probably end up in Money in the Bank. Dunno if he'll win, though he'd be candidate for holdin' the briefcase. I've been wanting him back since he left.
-
For a second I was going to be seriously annoyed....thinking that Jericho hit Batsita in the head with a weapon, had his entire body on the other side of the cage....and would still. But he won. Oh my. He won.

It has been a long time since WWE made me jump up and pump my fists in the air!
-
Nah...that wouldn't be a very nice hope. I meant that more in the sense that I hope the gimmick never makes it to the ring...for whatever reason.
-
I'm kind of hoping he gets Dolph Ziggler'd before we ever see this gimmick in the ring.

...in eleven years.
