    The Keltner List

I was so disappointed that no one was elected because I've been waiting since the last one for someone to finally get in. I love the concept though because we actually get to see who the choices are. I wish they just made it so that the top votegetter gets in. Therefore: Hodges would have gotten in 2003, and Santo would have made it in this year. I know a whole lot of baseball fans would have been relieved. I was actually hoping that Santo would get in as an announcer this year, so he could be at least in the Hall Of Fame somewhat.

    WWE.Com WrestleMania Jukebox

It's not a new theme month, those are just the Wrestlemania matches that have been available from the other months, the HBK month, the Taker month, the Cena month. They also have a spotlight on all the Hogan matches that have been available. They better have new stuff for March.

La Resistance win tag titles at house show

If Michaels wasnt booed out of the building as the first report says, than why did Flair freak out. As much as I want to respect Flair, I gotta say, that sounds really wacked out.

    Did anyone catch Jon Stewart

I saw the clip and as a mild fan of both shows, I have to say Stewart definitely came off as a dick. I'm sick and tired of the mainstream media talking about how Stewart and the Daily Show are how people like to see their news and how they know as much as the "legit" news shows, but the legit shows question the Daily Shows content, the response is always that it's a joke show. I too think that the success has gone to Stewart's head and as the clip went on and on, I was waiting for him to at least say one mildly good point or to start talking about a relevant subject, but it never came. It pretty much is the same as the Selleck/Rosie incident, since when Stewart came on, they intended to have a light-hearted conversation with him. They didn't even go the O'Reilly route and treat the Daily Show as a second-rate joke. Once Stewart starting cutting them off and going off on how their show is what's wrong with America, Carlson and Begala couldn't do anything since the show was live. Plus, I hadn't heard anything about the clip other than Stewart was supposed to have made Carlson his bitch, so I was expecting some awe-inspiring words from Stewart, about politics, but all I saw was a joke host of a joke show trying to make himself seem legit by verbally bullying a CNN show. Just my opinion.

    SNL Review

I enjoyed almost every sketch. I was very shocked and happy to see Riggle join since I've enjoyed every VH1 thing he does, so right away, he's up there with Forte as one of my faves. The boner thing, I didn't really get, but yes his huge boner at the end was funny. I liked the escalator thing, since I like those disaster movies from the 70's, and "The Morning After" playing in the end was a good touch. I thought the debate was a little long, but I definitely broke into laughter a few times. I was horrified that they brought back Debbie Downer. I was waiting for something to happen, either a breakdown into laughter or a good joke, but nothing. Weekend Update was fine; I liked all three commentaries, and I'm going to wait a few shows before deciding my thoughts on Pohler. Affleck was awesome tonight with the Carvelle and Wedding sketches. Aside from Debbie Downer, the two worst parts were the short film in the end, even though they played Lynard Skynard, and the announcement of Queen Latifah as host and musical guest. I can't wait for Jude Law though.

    PWI 500

Matt Morgan is high because he's been OVW Champ and PWI treats OVW almost like a regular fed.
  9. Most of the guys badmouthing her are probably joking, but still the reason this is such a big deal is that for most of us, she was our top dream girl back in 1996. Seeing a picture posted from 96 reminded me of how smokin' hot she was. Seriously, seeing her now is like imagining Trish Stratus gaining 50 pounds today; wouldn't that freak you out? Still, I'm happy she is off drugs, and she defintely looks like your run of the mill soccer mom, like a soccer mom who slightly resembles Sytch. You also must remember she must be pushing 35-40, so give her a break.

    VH1 just needs to die

I love all of the clip shows they do now. Like Bob said, the two Rob's make A2Z unmissable for me, and Best Week Ever is a great way to catch up on the news and current events. Also, I guess I'm in the minority, but Michael Ian Black is my favorite guy in the the I Love The series, followed by Rich Eisen, and some guy named Kevin from Alias.

    The Keltner List

Are you saying you think Martinez and Rice are the most deserving people not in the Hall or that they are borderline hall of famers, as in not quite making the cut? If it's the former, Martinez couldn't lick Santo or Sandberg's boots.
  12. If anyone has that issue, could you please post what tabs are in it. Thanks.

I agree, he doesn't qualify as a HOF caliber player, but he's gonna get in and I couldn't be happier.

Brock Lesnar causing havoc in scrimmage

In a game situation, fine, a sack is a sack, but in a scrimmage where the QB's are supposed to be off limits, knocking a QB out of a scrimmage is unacceptable. And if Brock was too out of control and into the game to prevent that from happening, that's even worse. Also, QB's do need as much protection as they get, they are core of the offensive line. I don't think the Chiefs wanted their quarterback out with a few broken ribs after a scrimmage.

    The Keltner List

Even with Musial at first, Hodges was still probably the best all-around 1st Basemen, counting defense, in the league, except for maybe for Big Klu. I know it's been said that Hodges doesn't have the stats and that he wasn't thought of as a superstar in his day, but he was. Out of all the players in the NL, finishing in the top 10, 3 times is pretty damn good. Also, since the Veterans Committe is now made up of the writers, players, and broadcasters who are already in the Hall of Fame, it's pretty apparent that a majority of his peers believe he should be in, as evidenced by his 60% vote in 2003. I assume he'll either get inducted or get more votes in 2005. And yes he got more votes than Santo in that vote. I know Santo was better, but it looks like Hodges will get in before Santo does.

Brock Lesnar causing havoc in scrimmage

Just because he was a wrestler shouldn't mean everyone here should ignore the absolute stupidity and ignorance of what Lesnar did. He should not have even touched the QB. I don't care if you think that it's nothing that he got the wind knocked out of him, it's not impressive that Brock even sacked him, considering Haurd probably wasn't even expecting to get tackled. The Chiefs have every right to be upset and I'm sure the Vikings would be crying if their QB got knocked out to the sidelines after an unnecessary hard hit in a scrimmage game. I can't wait til some of the real players that Lesnar plays again show him up big time.

    The Village

Saw it last night with some friends, I thought it was entertaining enough. I'm sure I'll like Harold and Kumar better, but this will still a good movie. Not much Joaquin Phoenix though, even though he's the first person listed in the beginning.

    The Keltner List

Oh jeez, my bad. I always get Walker and Wilbur Cooper's names mixed up, as well as Mort and Walker's. I still don't think Wilbur Cooper is better than Carl Mays, but he does look good considering he played for the Pirates. Also, another player, Maury Wills. I hate when his name comes up for debate. He does not have HOF stats, his on-base percentage is horrible, and while it's true he was an awesome speed player, he doesn't belong in the Hall. Even my father, who grew up in L.A. in the 60's, and whose favorite players were Koufax and Wills, doesn't think he should be in.

    The Keltner List

Harder and Cooper do not have Hall Of Fame stats, even compared to Mays. Mays' ERA is better then Harder and is a few points behind Cooper, which is evened out when you look at the League ERA. Cooper's ERA is 2.89, compared to a 3.35 league ERA, while Mays has 2.92 ERA in a 3.48 League ERA environment. Mays' winning percentage puts them both to shame, and yes he pitched for great Sox and Yankee teams, but Cooper was the great pitcher of the 40's Cardinals, while Harder pitched for the 30's Indians who were almost always in the thick of the pennant race.

    The Keltner List

Yeah, I agree he deserves to be in. As for being the most qualified person not in the Hall yet, I don't know. Sandberg is a hall of famer, plain and simple and he's not in, and as for Veteran candidates, Minoso, Oliva, and Mays are right up there as well. Also, you said that if Santo was the best player on his team, then they would have a good chance to win the pennant. However, he was the best player on the Cubs in the 60's and they never won once. Most of the time, they were low in the 2nd division, and that is with Banks, Williams, Santo, and Jenkins among others.

    The Keltner List

What other pitchers deserve consideration before Mays? The only one I can think of is Blyleven, and he's a BBWA candidate, while Mays' fate is controlled by the Veterans. Mays is probably the #1 pitching candidate for Veterans enshrinement. He also recieved the most votes for a pitcher in the 2003 vote.

    MLB HOF Class of 2005

That's some crazy thinking by Morgan there. Concepcion isn't even comparable to Honus Wagner, Ernie Banks, Cal Ripken, Arky Vaughn, and even Alan Trammel among others. I'd sooner like to see Bert Campaneris or Vern Stephens go in before Concepcion, and I know, and hope that will never happen. I also know that at induction ceremony, Bench also commented that he wanted Concepcion in the hall.
