WTF? Thanks. I know that off beat happenings go on when shows are over, but my main question was about whether or not they were involved in this together or one was messing around with the other.
-
Explain. Mess around with the fans?????
-
Never stopped to think that 99% of the people in here probably didn't order.
-
I had hoped to find some Armageddon reviews at the end of this thread, but instead got THIS. The show must really have sucked.
-
Bottom line concerning my comments is that Hart did not have a good match with Nash or Taker every time. He cannot be blamed for that. He can't be seen as a poor worker because he couldn't work miracles every time. Flair vs Eddie was brutal, IMO, and Flair does suck now, but Eddie does not because he couldn't carry Flair then (Flair was carryable at that point). Lesnar had a total of about 2 well known matches with Cena and Holly each. Hardly enough to warrant that A) He couldn't do better given a couple more with each and B) he sucks as a worker because he couldn't drag *** out of them. Trying to say a wrestler sucks because of his opponents when he has been wrestling in WWE for under 3 years and only about half of the roster isn't a fair judgement.
-
That is so cliche. To say Lesnar is not so good because he couldn't drag a **+ match out of his 1st built encounter with Holly is ridiculous. Does Hart suck because he just didn't click that well in his matches with Nash or Taker? Oh, I guess Guerrero and Flair both suck ass because of thier horrible match at KOTR 2001 right? Your spouting on about how Brock could not impress you because he couldn't create a miracle out of matches with those two is laughable. Lesnar is a great worker from what he has shown us in less than 3 years in the WWE. Before you can even BEGIN to analyze a worker by his or her opponents, at least let him have his matches with the other fucking HALF of the WWE roster he has yet to face because of the brand split. His career has been nowhere near long or diverse enough to shit on the guy because of his work against opponents. And who has had a good match against Holly, ever?

Underrated Match of the Year???
Just call me Dan replied to Lt. Al Giardello's topic in The WWE Folder
Orton/Benoit from SSlam. The fact that people like the Raw match the next night better, which consisted of Benoit being angry and stringing together every signature move he knew followed by an Evo run-in that totally killed anything Randy had built from going toe to toe with Benoit legit the night before baffles me. While fun, the Raw match pailed in comparison. The match is off from the normal cut and paste style of most PPV title matches and albiet a short match, it turned out to be fantastic. -
Nice tits............
-
And boy did they go all out with that one.
-
Milian turns me off about the whole thing, but I'll probably give it a rental.
-
Batista may be the next big draw but he is NO WAY more over than Orton at the moment. Orton is the most over face on Raw outside of HBK. Benoit and even Jericho's pops are not as big as Orton's. The RKO and Randy chants can now be heard at every venue Raw visits. Most of the pops Batista gets is because of Flair. Good to see I'm not the only one who sees this about Orton. I am finding a hard time sympathising with his character and scratching my head at him aligning with so many faces he screwed over for so long, but the man is over.
-
Can I reiterate BHK's question? How was the 6 man HIAC from 2000? Never saw it.

With all the talk of Wrestlemania feuds and programs beginning to take shape, who will The Rock face at Wrestlemania 21? I think it's pretty safe to assume he'll walse in around March and get something going. Speculation is wild about Taker/Angle, or Angle/HBK, HBK/Edge, HHH/Orton, etc. But who do you envision feuding with the Rock?
-
So.... Who gets the famed Rock program at WM?
Just call me Dan replied to Just call me Dan's topic in The WWE Folder
Shit, with the way things have gone for the guy over the last 4 months, Rock/SNITSKY seems like a possibility. -

How many times can he come back and just lose to the next flavor of the month, though? Can you see him pinning someone at Wrestlemania, only to give the rub some other time, if only to keep everyone on thier toes and not just expecting another Rocky job? -
Time for a new pet.

Hey, I'm not blind. I've seen the stereoypes most think of and associate with trailers, and I'm not trying to be all like, "Every trailer park is full of upstanding citizens who are just temporarily down on thier luck!", but when someone asks if you've got a friend that lives in a trailer and you respond with "Good lord No!" as if it deeply offends you that some trailer trash could possibly be considered a friend of yours, that bothers me.
-
I take it you have no friends who live in trailers then, huh? Good lord no. You know, not to flame, but you're coming off as some arrogant prick. My father went through some hard times when I was a kid and for a time, he and I lived in a trailer for a few years. Are we some kind of white trash losers? I mean seriously, what's with the stereotypes?

I don't hate Orton at all, and I don't want him to win. Most feuds being built up from late in the year before WM heavily should not use the Rumble to further the storyline. That is what should be used as fodder to make the winner a question and the Rumble can catapult its own storyline/build before Wrestlemania. I don't really see Cena as even a remote possibility, as Angle/Taker winning seems more logical when considering neither have won a Rumble and would both love to add that to thier credentials. I honesty want HBK/Angle but I'm pretty set in getting ready for the Angle/Taker showdown and seeing perhaps and angle/HBK match at Summerslam. If Cena and JBL face off, because Angle/HBK goes down, what the hell does Taker do? He and Eddy are pretty well cemented as faces and I don't see Take going for his normal midcard hoss squashing. The guy has had matches at the last few "Big 2" PPVs with the likes of Test, Albert, Show, Nathan Jones, JBL, Kane, etc. and would probably, bythis pont, REALLY be lobbying for a possibility of having a classic match at WM with a grat opponent. Armageddon should really get the booking for WM rolling from a Smackdown WWE title standpoint. We'll see who pulls it out in the 4 way (Taker, JBL, or Booker to hotshot it to Angle).
-
I think that sucks seeing how, IMO the 2003 and 2004 Rumbles were some of the best booked EVER.
-
If a heel wins it, I want them to do it where the crowd is duped into thinking one guy won it, but the heel murders him with a chairshot and dumps him (ala Jericho 2003). All these Rumbles like 2002 w/ Maven and 2004 (?) with Spike Dudley never being rightly eliminated always leave us wondering if somehow those guys will claim thier shot at the title or at least thier shot at the winner for a shot at the title because of thier not being eliminated.

Most of those opponets are arguable. HHH vs Angle never clicked well at all, yet Jericho/Angle never did anything stand out either. Advantage : No one. HHH vs Michaels on Raw in Dec. '03 outclasses Jericho/Michaels WMXIX. I love the XIX match but Jericho's incredibly loose and uncredible Walls hurt, plust the selling and psychology of HHH/Michaels is far better. HHH 1 Jericho had better matches w/ Goldberg than HHH ever came close two. Both of his 1 on 1 encounters were infinitly better. Jericho 1 I would have to arfue that HHH/Benoit/HBK (both) and HHH/Benoit Ironman plus Vengeance and certainly HHH/Benoit from 2000 can equal Benoit/Jericho's few WWE matches. Tied HHH/Kane chain match from JD 2001 is better than any of the crap Jericho/Kane have churned out the many times they've hooked up. HHH 2 HHH/Nash HIAC Bad Blood 2003 is not good, but Nash underselling for Jericho in the hair vs hair and any other match where Jericho played bitch with Nash isn't as good. HHH 3 The Jericho/Steiner match blew, but not as hard as the 2 HHH/Steiner encounters. Jericho 2 Jericho had far better matches with RVD. Jericho 3 End Result: Even based on your examples the guys are dead even as far as matches with opponents.

As most of you have probably seen explained on the Chris Benoit DVD, severe neck damage without proper surgery/treatment can lead to your body and muscles deteriorating. This was exemplified by Paul Orndoff, and, after watching No Mercy on DVD tonight, I've been alarmed at the way Kurt Angle is looking lately. You can see he's in great shape and he's ripped, much like even Orndoff was on his last few WCW appearances. Then you see Orndoff's arm which, while defined, is about the size of a 12 year old kid's arm. Angle looks to be headed in the same route. Is he losing muscle mass and withering away because of his refusal to get the fusion done, or am I just crazy?
-
I think you're paying little attention here. Austin had the fusion done that damn near all other wrestlers with neck problems have had (Edge, Rhyno, Benoit, etc.) They all look great because they had the right surgery. Austin had already had the surgery where you say he looked great. (2000-2001). Angle DID not have this same surgery and now looks to be breaking down much like Orndoff ended up looking. Your posts are only repeating something already acknowledged.
-
I've never seen anyone quit juicing and become almost transparently ripped. Look at Triple H from early 2003 and his feud with Steiner and then late 2003- present. Kurt looks great but his overall body size looks to be decreasing unproportionally.
