Jim Ross possibly leaving RAW announce team
SteakGrowsOnUecker replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
YES! We could start having Lee call in from the area where Raw is the next week where he is at the wild and wacky Raw party going on there. Yeah. -
I agree on both points. I like the new younger forwards the Bulls have now, who will actually have good defense and rebounding that Eddy rarely ever did anyway. There will be good competition for playing time, and I think Skiles will get these guys to hustle. I am also ready to see what all the hype of Sweetney is all about.

What year did WWE start to lose their edge?
SteakGrowsOnUecker replied to CBright7831's topic in The WWE Folder
2001 is when they were knocked down a peg and lost their maximum amount of fans during the Invasion. Then when they did the reset and still didn't change a whole lot in early 2002, they panicked and began bringing in the old acts (Hogan, nWo, etc.) and continued to lose their fans. So really 2002 is the official year because they decided to stop being completely edgy (although at times Vince would pull out crap like Katie Vick, being retarded instead of edgy) and for the most part since they have stayed away from shock tv. The only problem is they never came up with a fresh presentation of the show, they just rehashed the attitude type of presentation without anything really cutting edge or new, its just WWE wrestling with horrible backstage skits. And that is where we have been for the last 3 years. -
How long does Matt Hardy have left in the WWE?
SteakGrowsOnUecker replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in The WWE Folder
Yeeeeah whatever happened to the idea of Matt Hardy never talking and just being a dark figure who attacked heels. I think that would work much better... -
Well to me I was only unhappy that Davis was traded along with Curry because he was a great veteran leader, but reading that the Knicks will release him and he will be back in Chicago makes me feel better. I think it was time for Eddy to go, it was obvious he and his agent were nothing more then pains in the ass for Paxson and Chicago. Looking on this upcoming season it will be awhile before Eddy comes close to being in the shape he was in last season anyway, so good riddance. I doubt he will be a favorite of Larry Brown early on anyway, as playing good defense is not what Eddy Curry does. So it will be interesting to see how it all plays out there, but I won't miss Eddy in Chicago at all.

It really is mind boggling to think that Golden State hasn't been to the playoffs since 1994, something even the Clippers can say they've done. The team has been and always will be worthless, because there is no reason at all for anyone to stay there for. While the location is nice, the team has no direction and has never had any. Definately the worst team in the last decade or two.

Well I think this can be great for both teams. I think a Yao/McGrady will be a great tandem, one of the best in the West. Now while I don't think they will get to the championship level for the next year or two, they are definately great building blocks for Houston. Now imagine if Shaq heads to Dallas....Texas is becoming the center of the NBA. I think it's gonna be great. Now as for Orlando, I think getting Mobley, Francis and Kato will help make them at least competitive instead of being at the bottom of the East. Those three along with Howard and other young talent I think could develop well, although not for the next few season. If they keep the core group together and let them develop and learn to play together, I think they could be on to something good. I also think Francis having more room to creative and play his own style will help him have a much better season, at least statwise, over what he did last season. I always thought Francis had problems playing in the system as he did with Van Gundy last season. I've never been really impressive with Mobley, he is a real streaky player, and Kato at least showed some signs of talent last season, but that was probably mainly because he was side by side with Yao. But....knowing Orlando's luck this will all somehow fail horribly for them.

J.Lo & Marc Anthony Get Married.
SteakGrowsOnUecker replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Television & Film
I agree, how anyone at this point could marry her and think it'll actually last has got to be kidding themselves, shes obviously not the marrying type and is attempting to make a run at Liz Taylor's record of marraiges. Pretty sad says I. -
I voted 93, althought to me 94 was close as well. The first tournament had some great matches and a great story, with Bret winning it all at all costs. Owens run in the 94 was great too, and enhanced his angle with Bret along the way. After those two, only 96 really came close to a great King of the Ring tournament.

Best Member of RAW Right Now?
SteakGrowsOnUecker replied to The Mandarin's topic in General Wrestling
For some odd reason, I'm going to say Kane simply because his character has done quite a bit in the last month or so. From stalking Lita for sex, to winning the #1 contender slot, to pinning Benoit tonight on Raw, he has done quite a bit in the last month. Benjamin has also had a great run with his matches with Evolution and such. Just my two cents... -
Badd Blood without question. The show should have some great matches and hopefully further some angles. The Bash on the otherhand will only further why I continue to not give a damn about the Smackdown brand.

TNA Letting Fans Choose Who AMW Face On Wednesday
SteakGrowsOnUecker replied to BoboBrazil's topic in TNA Wrestling
I'll be on the edge of my seat for any of these matchups. That tag match on Friday wasn't all the special however. -
Because after 6 years of being off tv after playing magic tricks on WCW TV, the Warrior is in such demand that TNA is just banking on him signing! Or not. It's amazing to me how he has been able to keep his name in the news for so long after doing nothing at all wrestling related. To me it's become a running joke, but people still eat up the Warrior rumors no matter what.

Anyone know Sean O'Haire's wherabouts now?
SteakGrowsOnUecker replied to Toxxic's topic in General Wrestling
If I were O'Haire I'd be pissed with Piper for being senile and getting fired from the WWE, along with dragging him down into unemployment with him. Thats a shame that it all went down like that. -
I don't know, I think it was a lack of interest in genergal for the show tonight, not just because of hockey. Ever since they stopped the mass hyping of the show week after week, the desire to see the show dropped back to the way it was before April. Why they stopped that when it was working, I'll never know.
-
To me the whole Kane/Lita is like one long extended, unfunny joke. They keep dragging it out without ever mentioning the devious favor or whatever. It really is gripping television.
