    The Old School questions thread

How about the Mega Warriors? Or maybe the Ultimate Maniacs? I may be unable to sleep thinking of all the possibilities.

    TNA IMPACT

Has Don West always been this annoying? I thought Tenay was great throughout the show, however that Don West guy just seemed so forced and unnatural in his delivery, I did not care for him at all.

    I despise this man.

The One and Only SmackDown Sucks / SolutionsThread

Smackdown helps me get to sleep every Thursday night, and thats the god honest truth. This coming from a fan who began watching WWF after WM IX and sat through 1995. They just don't seem to care anymore and quite frankly neither do I at this point. But as I've said elsewhere Chavo Classic has been the only thing to entertain me over the last weeks and because I've loved wrestling for a long time, so I'll continue to sleep well every Thursday to Smackdown.

    Why or why not?

I've just finished it myself and I really enjoyed it. Seeing the older stars getting recognized really was great and was worth the money spent, and thats just the ceremoney itself. They did a great job of making it feel important and special, with Heenan stealing the show. I agree it's a must have DVD.

OAO The Show that Isn't RAW Thread

It's amazing but I've come to looking forward only to watch Smackdown for the Chavo Classic segments and not much else. Although I see some promise in Heyman returning to being a part of the show again, to me Chavo Classic stole the show again.

Or Luger completing his year long slide down to curtain jerker a year after being a part of the main event mix at WMX. Couldn't have happen to a more humble guy.... Better yet, I try to not think much about that Mania period.

    WWE Hall of Fame 2005

There's no doubt about that, it'd all fit so well. I really enjoyed the 2004 HOF DVD, hope it becomes a yearly traditions like this. Wonder if theyve thought of releasing the previous inductions on DVD or something, if they taped those at least... Ya know, I just thought of crazy it would be if Savage and Hogan were inducted at the same time. Imagine the wackiness that would ensue.

The OAO What wrestling tapes / DVDs do you own?

Hmm, well I have every non-England only WWF/WWE pay per view from WrestleMania I up to Backlash 2004 on VHS and DVD. I was fortunate enough to have boguht pretty much every PPV between 1993-1999 until they switched our local cable access to digital. Now I rely on buying the events on DVD's now. At least they are cheaper this way, and most times I just head over to friends houses to catch the events when they are live.

    The Old School questions thread

I agree that the Owen/Hitman match should've happened instead of the Backlund/Hitman match, simply because it would've been a far better match and would've been a fitting ending to feud one year after their amazing WM X match. But...at least Owen's first title victory happened at a Mania and won't ever be forgotten. To me thats the highlight of that horrible WM.

    WWE Hall of Fame 2005

I thought of him while watching the 2004 HOF DVD and they showed the Rock a few times throughout the show. I can picture him inducting his dad, much as Venturas son did. I think it'd be fitting.

Full listings of times and channels for Impact!

I've got the VCR set already, it'll be my first dose of TNA. It's at 3 PM here while I'm at work unfortunately.

    TNA mass-messaging AIM SNs...

Thats definately a unique way of getting the message across. Hopefully it produces results....

    WWE Hall of Fame 2005

I've got a feeling that Rocky Johnson will be inducted next year, especially if Johnny Rodz was inducted already. Hogan could be a good candidate for next year as well.

    The Edge/HHH feud

I think its stupid for him to be on Raw right now, especially with the lack of talent on Smackdown. Was it really necessary for him to switch? I also hated how a couple weeks back Ross mentioned Edge hadn't wrestled on Raw in a year in a half, when he obviously was on Smackdown. Just the little things that can be very annoying.

    Best/Worst NWO era ppv

The WORST: I thought Uncensored 1998 was pure ass. There was pretty much nothing redeeming about the event. When your main event just abruptly ends (Hogan-Savage in the cage) after a completely pointless and horrible 20 minute match, that says alot about the show. Hall and Sting for WCW title was just there, it didn't really entertain me and there was nothing notable about it other than Hall finally got his World War 3 shot. The triple threat match between Raven, DDP and benoit was the only match that was watchable, but watching it now it just doesen't seem as good as it was back then. Everything else was filler and nothing that you couldn't see for free on Nitro back then. The BEST: I thought Halloween Havoc from 1998 was probably my favorite event that I saw live. DDP-Goldberg was an entertaining match, Hogan-Warrior was pure comedy (hey we almost saw Warrior set on FIRE!) and the rest of the undercard was tolerable. And seeing as this was during WCW's crumbling period I didn't expect this show to be any good, but it was.

    Best WWF PPV of 1999?

This list was tough because none of the events really stand out from one another. I'd had to say either No Mercy for the Ladder match or SummerSlam for Foley's WWF Title win and Ventura's guest refereeing of the match. Other than that, take your pick they were all mediocre.

Best white player in the NBA

Actually every news station in Chicago at the time made Jordans pass to him a big deal, mainly because it was just like when he made the pass to Paxson in the closing moments of the 91 Finals against the Lakers. But yah Kerr was definately a great clutch shooter and I'm glad he went out on a championship last season with the Spurs. He always seemed like a good guy who knew his role too.

    Wrestlecrap

The picture of Simmons, Warrior and Chyna all put together in one alone just cracked me up for some reason. Anyone who would watch all three of those videos deserves a cookie or something.

    The OAO NBA Playoffs/Finals Thread

That would suck, especially for Minnesota fans. I'd also like for them get past the first round, if only so we don't have to hear about them not making it ever again. I'm so sick of hearing about them never winning, I can only imagine Minnesota fans hate it just as much.

Best white player in the NBA

And he was one of the best at doing that as well. He shot San Antonio pretty much into the finals last season over the Mavs and hit the game winner for the Bulls over the Jazz in the 97 championship.

    Rene' Dupree

Yah the coffee in the face was a nice touch. And for the first time running the segment for him it did it's job. I like the fact that they are at least trying to develop some personality for him and not immediately burying him like on Raw. Let's see where they go with it in the next few weeks.

    The OAO NBA Playoffs/Finals Thread

What a complete rout by the Nuggets, at least this series should produce a few more great games instead of unwatchable blowouts like the rest of the playoffs so far. Same for Houston / LA, this is what I enjoy seeing.
