I really don't care about Orlando Jordan. The few matches I've seen have just been generic. I hate the constant boxing jabs he. He's just another hack with no direction. Maybe if he was a disgruntled NBA star with 72 prior arrests for random illegal activity from drugs to possession of handguns. THEN I might care about Orland Jordan.

That is exactly what I'm talking about. Selling is a huge part of good work rate. If your fellow wrestler is selling everything you give him and you just half ass sell his moves then you're not putting forth a complete quality effort.

Jericho is definetly the total package. He has it all. It seems like Jericho can work with anyone and you get damn good enjoyable results.

Whoa, that's definitely when you have to mess with idle. If it's dying out at intersections you have to do something. I once saw a perfectly good car gets idle messed with by someone who just liked messing around with idle and the car was never the same again. They never could get the car to run the same way again. That's why I make messing with the idle a last resort case. With your Caprice that was definitely the right thing to do to fix the problem. You just have to be really careful.

Work rate in my eyes: First thing off the match must have a flow to it that draws the viewer into the match and keeps them at the edge of their seat. This can be accomplished by having a struggle back and forth between opponents. Then Opponent A will begin to get the upper hand on Opponent B. Opponent A will proceed to work over B until B catches a break and injures some portion of A's body. Then Opponent B will focus on this portion. Opponent B can either do this by pounding on that part with moves like suplex or submission holds depending on the type of wrestler B is. This is a critical point in the match. What happens next will be what makes or breaks the match. There must be extremely close pinfalls and Opponent A, the opponent that was being worked on by B, must start a comeback of some sort to make the match gain unpredictability. Now submission maneuvers can be applied to get near tap outs. Also high impact finishing maneuvers can be used until one opponent PHYSICALLY cannot take anymore do to the punishment he has received. I think wrestlers must physically exert themselves to show that they truly are fighting to win. If they lose and haven't really been beaten down much and the match really hasn't had any sense of back and forth struggle then I think the work rate is lacking. When I look at the word work rate, I take the word work to me physically exerting ones self to create a believable well put together match. If attention starts to wane and I begin to think about other things as opposed to the match then the work rate just isn't cutting the grade. If I'm sucked into the match and am so intensely into it that nothing around me will pull my concentration away from the match, than I feel the work rate must be good to have captured my attention so intently. This is my opinion. I'm sure others have differing opinions.

It was still a damn good match. If I remember any match from a 1994 raw then it must have been a damn good match.

A-Train did blow ass but his offensive line was the main reason. The bears foolishly let the quality players go and kept the old hacks. When the old hacks got injured, Chicago was left with going to a Pizza shop and finding the biggest guys they could find that resembled football players. To rectify this problem the bears did....absolutely nothing. Damn them. It shall be a fun year.

The Warriors drafted an absolutely amazing 6'6 GF in Mickael Pietrus. He looked incredible. He's pretty young but in the long run he's going to end up being the Warriors SF. He'll probably split time with Mike Dunleavy. Losing Arenas is just plain stupid. They did pick up Speedy Claxton who will be a big addition and should be missed in San Antonio. They also have a rookie hack PG in Derrick Zimmerman. Atleast Golden State has ensured everyone that they will be a door mate team of the west this year. Chalk up 2 more easy wins for the Bulls this season.

The Talent That's Going To Miss Out on SS...
SteakGrowsOnUecker replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in The WWE Folder
Rhyno's used the crossface a few times. But he's not a submission guy unless he developed a submission move. That'd be interesting. -
If a guy works on your leg and is concentrating an attack on it and you only sell it for a while then go on as if it never happened then that diminishes work rate in my opinion. The reason I think it does is because by no selling the work on the leg that negates that portion of the match. Limb selling is definitely part of work rate in my humble opinion.

Train can wrestle, talk, and not injure someone
SteakGrowsOnUecker replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
All Funaki does is just get destroyed. Zach Gowen has proven that it isn't hard to get destroyed when you're little. A-Train is little he can't get thrown around like a rag doll. He's the one who should be throwing someone around like a rag doll. A-Train has had some good matches with Benoit and Lesnar. A-Train is one of JR's boys. He likes him because he's a big hoss. The WWE needs atleast a few beasts around like A-Train. Atleast this isn't 94/95 where half the roster was over 300 pounds and couldn't wrestle. A-Train shows emotion in the ring too. Not many guys yell and bellow and sound insane anymore. It's part of his hoss gimmick. -
This is the best news I heard all day. Bobby Heenan is the best! He's a living legend. This is awesome news!

It's always a bad idea to start dicking around with the idle. When someone says lets try adjusting the idle when something doesn't work then you know they really don't know what to do.

Too bad he got rid of the one guy who stepped it up big for the Mavs in the playoffs, Van Exel

Pete Rose signed agreement to come back?

There always is a slight chance of getting lucky and getting a good one. -
Yeah it looks like they took good ole Jeff Weaver off the auction block. Damn. I wonder what the last bid for him was up to...

Marlins Pitcher questions fairness of Ump
SteakGrowsOnUecker replied to Vern Gagne's topic in Sports
This is ridiculous. He blows one call and they immediately question if he's favoring teams. This ump would be stupid to do that. Why would he jeopardize his career as a future major league ump for something like that. Absolute bullshit. You want to complain about blown calls, watch an NFL preseason game. -
Potentially losing his starting job? Maybe. Keep in mind Cleveland's O-Line is pure crap. Worse than Chicago's. About Anthony Thomas, if he doesn't step it up Adrian Peterson will take his job. Peterson has looked incredible so far.

Pete Rose signed agreement to come back?
SteakGrowsOnUecker replied to The Ghost of bps21's topic in Sports
That's exactly what I'm talking about. People from all walks of life. I'm sure the MLB will never make a true statement on what they're going to do. They'll keep hashing over both sides of the stories like we've done and come to basically the same conclusion we did. However they won't act on what they conclude. I don't see any conclusion until a new unretarded commissioner takes over. -
I hope Mark Cuban likes paying the NBA luxury tax
