Pete Rose signed agreement to come back?

Shoeless Joe Jackson was the one person on the team who shouldn't have gotten banned. He was the one person on the team that was trying to win. People around Chicago are always petitioning to get Shoeless Joe Jackson reinstated. If he can't get reinstated when its painfully obvious that he had no part in the entire scandal then I don't see Rose getting reinstated. It doesn't matter what a court would find guilty because OJ Simpson is somehow inocent. So I have no faith on a court convicting any athelte unless its someone like Mike Tyson. Yes the Reds were mediocre, however, they might have been a better team if some games were not thrown. Hmm...Maybe, Maybe Not. Back when this was first brought public. An investigative report revealed that Rose regularly bet on baseball games, but also that he bet on the Reds. A violation of baseball rules that would automatically draw a permanent expulsion from the game. As part of the settlement between Rose and baseball, the language of the agreement did not explicitly accuse Rose of betting on baseball games; he was accused of 'conduct not to be in the best interests of baseball.' Pete Rose agreed to the settlement making him permanently ineligible for employment in baseball. Pete signed this on his on will. Thats why he will never be inducted into the HOF.

Exactly why is Shane wrestling @ Summerslam again?

Steve Blackman would definetly give the fans what they want. He'd bring his bag of kendo sticks down to the ring and go to work. At some point in the match Shane would venture onto the titan tron and fall off just so he'd get a "holy shit" chant.

Pete Rose signed agreement to come back?

First off what you do off field is off field. It doesn't matter if someone does drugs or is a womanizer because it has nothing to do with the sport its self. That completely reflects back upon the player if he chooses to go out and impregnate 74 women. The fact is that going out and womanizing and doing drugs is off field antics. They're frowned on but it has nothing to do with the sport. Rose wasn't the first person to get banned from baseball because of gambling on his team. It happened with the whole Black Socks world series scandal. If Rose was managing a team that he was gambling on he has EVEN MORE effect on the outcome of a game. He can take players out once the score gets to what he wants it to be. Or if he betted against his team he could let a pitcher in the game too long and let that pitcher get rocked until the game was firmly out of hand. I'm not even going to argue with the fact that Pete Rose was a great player because he was a great player. One of the best ever. But with a sport like baseball there is a line that can be crossed when you start betting on your own sport. If Rose would have been betting on pro football or college basetball it wouldn't have been such a big thing. The simple fact that he betted on the sport that he was a part of is the reason why he shouldn't be let in to the hall.

    Vince McMahon a greedy CEO

Hogan was pretty pathetic until Nash and Hall showed up there. Hogan wasn't getting the job done by himself.

    Vince McMahon a greedy CEO

At the time they were huge losses because look what Nash and Hall did for WCW when they went there. They helped put WCW past the WWF in the ratings.

I just cannot make myself care for Raw anymore

It's been done a lot but I still mark for Jim Ross getting beat down. It really doesn't matter who's giving the beat down to Jim Ross as long as he gets dismantled that gives me enjoyment.

Vince did let Nash and company comeback

I just cannot make myself care for Raw anymore

Jim Ross got a couple of huge pops from the crowd last night though. As long as Jim Ross gets set on fire, taunted, or beat down then it was a good week for raw.

Pete Rose bet on his own team he shouldn't be let back in. If you do the crime you're going to do the time.

Eventhough they're spineless they get tired of being held down after awhile. You can only take jobbing to Undertaker so many times.

    Vince McMahon a greedy CEO

Vince took care of that for the time being by finishing off wCw. I'm sure plenty of guys like RVD would jump ship though.

    Favorite Raw Segment

I like that idea of Nash being the color man that says funny stuff instead of King.

I just cannot make myself care for Raw anymore

True but by tombstoning Linda and setting Jim Ross on fire he became the ultimate heel. Just by feuding with RVD that wouldn't have happened.

Vince is greedy!?!? Why am I not shocked by this...

    Blatant Political Sabotage

Flair will put anyone over Goldberg included. They need to make Goldberg have longer matches if he ever wants to be completely over. The 30 second matches where he destroyes someone are nice but no one will want to buy a ppv with him main eventing in a singles match if they know he's just going to destroy his opponent in 30 seconds. And Flair isn't like Hogan constantly wanting to be put over. When was the last time Flair won cleanly?

That Kevin Nash title reign in 1995 was terrible. I'd rather watch Lance Storm back stage antics then anything involving the WWF in 1995

What's so bad about Randy Orton?

The only reason people hate Randy Orton is because just like the Rock when he first broke in he was a Blue Chipper. Before Orton turned heel on Jim Ross I think Ross may have even referred to him as a Blue Chipper.

    Favorite Raw Segment

The Highlight Reel was classic with Nash being called a Nash-hole. The Hurricane vs. Rodney Mack was my favorite segment though. Hurricane with a clean win over Rodney Mack was my favorite for the following reasons: 1. Rodney Mack lost 2. If I'm mistaken Rodney Mack only has lost to Goldberg so that makes Hurricane possibly a contender for the IC title 3. The Super Hero In Training made a run in, with his outfit costume that came off of someone's clothesline, and squashed Rodney Mack. It doesn't get any better then that.

    The Old School questions thread

Did it surprise anyone else at how RIPPED Piper was for that match at KOTR 94? And then two years later in WCW he shows up as the dough boy.

    The Old School questions thread

I'm almost postitive this first MSG event on the tape is from February 7, 1980, as Hogan faced Dominic Denucci on the card, and was the second or third event at MSG that Hogan had done, the first being his debut match againt Dibiase in December of 79. However the seller added another old MSG event on the tape with Patterson facing Capt. Lou, so I'm goin to look into this event as well when I get the chance. Watching these old events and finding the dates has always interested me.

    Television tapings

I'd say it probably was the Barbershop. And yes I do have that Diesel/Yoko match on tape as well, you can even see me in the crowd if you look hard enough at times at the top left of the screen on closeups.
