Nobody had Bobby Fischer. That surprised me.

An old-logo Senators home jersey. First jersey with a name on it was my Roy Halladay home jersey. What's the most obscure Olympic event that you love watching? Winter or summer is fine. -

"Coming in 2008, Hockey-reference.com will provide the most complete look at historical hockey stats on the web." AWESOME. This is sorely needed.

The joke going around is that B.C. now stands for Bring Cash. Housing prices are skyrocketing across the province. Vancouver has become the most expensive place to buy a house in all of Canada. This is an interesting chart of the best places to live in Canada. I say interesting not just because Ottawa tops the list. There's a lot of good stuff in there.

Personally, I think Belichick is great because of his media presence and because he's brought the Patriots so far from where they were when I first started watching them in 1990. But, isn't it possible that it's not just Belichick, but the orginization as a whole, that has brought success to New England? If so, you could say that Belichick is overrated. Would the Dolphins have gone undefeated this year if Belichick was coaching them? Of course not, but that's just a strawman. He's not so good that he could take any bunch of scrubs and make them undefeated. But there's no way they go 1-15. If he had the same say in personnel matters as he apparently does with the Patriots, they don't make any of the idiotic moves they made this year (giving away Chris Chambers, anyone?), plus the discipline he instills among the players would've allowed them to finish off a few more of those close games they had. -

Overrated coach: Brian Billick would've been the easy answer until a couple of weeks ago. Now, I'd probably have to go with Mike Shanahan. Anyone who says Belichick is overrated is just hating for hate's sake. Next question: Someone offers you free tickets to any sporting event in the world this year. Which event do you pick? -
Sens got swept by the Capitals this season, as I predicted. Hopefully the Caps can be held down by the rest of the scrubs in the Southeast, because I sure don't want to face that team in the first round of the playoffs.

I'm in. We have to do something about rule G, like make it so you can only keep someone for three consecutive seasons or something.

The Ravens are in serious trouble whether Garrett signs there or not, and I have real trouble believing that a guy with three years of total coaching experience is supposed to come in and be the savior.

Mychal Thompson. Wow, that's an interesting question. I could pick any one of Kareem, Wilt, Shaq or Kobe and get people to support it. I'd have to say Kareem by an eyelash. A variation on an often-asked question: Who's the best quarterback never to PLAY IN a Super Bowl? -

Basketball and baseball already do. But you're probably talking about leagues on par with the existing major leagues, and not the minor league system, so I'll say none of those sports have any chance of another league succeeding on any level. There are just far too many barriers -- to the talent pool and to TV being the most obvious -- for a startup from scratch to be successful. Question: What would have to happen for you to stop being a fan of any of your current favourite teams? -

Yes. Some team is going to end up moving to Los Angeles. Goodell will make sure it happens. EDIT to answer JBB's question: Grady Little leaving Pedro in in Game 7 of the 2003 ALCS. Question: Should the NBA drop the current East vs. West playoff format and go to a format seeded strictly by record, without regard to conference? -
I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the 8 seed out west have 10 more wins than the 8 seed in the east.

Albert Haynesworth Kyle Vanden Bosch Trent Cole Adewale Ogunleye Jason Taylor For the defunct teams question, it has to be the Montreal Expos for me, followed closely by the Winnipeg Jets. And to answer my own question from yesterday, my personal choice for worst sports town in America is Atlanta. You could move or contract all four teams in Atlanta, and most people wouldn't even notice. At least in Miami they care about the Dolphins somewhat. What is the most successful expansion team in any sport since, say, 1975? -
I think you're good to go. Washington is the one team that just owns the Sens, for whatever bizarre reason. The Caps have won 7 out of 10 against Ottawa going back to two seasons ago. And they're usually pretty high-scoring games, which doesn't bode well for a team missing its best goal scorer.

If we're talking strictly wideouts, I'd probably put him in the bottom half of the top 10, or the top half of the next 10. There are at least eight receivers I'd take before him -- Moss, T.O., Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Chad Johnson, Torry Holt, Steve Smith, and Larry Fitzgerald. I'd have to think about whether to take him before Donald Driver. I can't decide how much Wes Welker and Marques Colston benefit from their QBs, but they'd be right there as well. Plaxico Burress would be another guy in the same range. Same with Braylon Edwards. Next question: What is the worst sports town in the United States? State your criteria and your reasoning. -

I'm about a 4. I know the basic rules of the game, but the scoring still confuses me. I actually watched a cricket match on TV for an hour when I was in London, and it was rather interesting. Question #6: What do you consider the greatest Super Bowl ever? -
It can't possibly live up to the standard set by Hulk Hogan's Rock 'n' Wrestling.

Partial dislocation.

Because the pendulum of the game has swung back toward heavy hitters and waiting for the three-run homer, as opposed to dominant pitching and "manufacturing" runs. Plus, more front-office people have caught on to the fact that that stealing bases hurts your offence unless you get someone who hardly ever gets caught. Question #3: Why will soccer never catch on in the United States?
