No, you're right. Back on topic, according to the big list in the writer's strike thread, there are no more new episodes of HIMYM until after the strike is settled. That sucks.

Before or after the world imploding on itself?

I've set up an NFL Survivor Pool at Yahoo again this year. For anyone not familiar, the rules are simple: Pick one team each week that you think will win its game outright (no point spread). If you're right, you move forward to next week; if you're wrong, or if you don't submit a pick, you're eliminated. The only catch is that you can't pick the same team more than once for the entire season. Link: http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/su...oinprivategroup ID#: 22271 Password: tsm

Minnesota is playing like absolute shit for the second week in a row. Washington isn't going to let them off the hook like Chicago did. Washington deserves the sixth seed the most out of those three teams. Too bad they get Dallas next week, but at least the Cowboys will be resting their starters for the most part (I would imagine).

I used to always put salt and pepper on eggs, but then I stopped putting salt on anything, so now it's just pepper.

I think they were up 10 in the 4th. Looks like they're going to win in OT. Still, beating Atlanta in OT at home isn't exactly something to be proud of.
-
Everyone can put to rest any thoughts that Arizona is any good at all. They're a minute and a half from losing to the Falcons at home.
-
Awesome. I would say I hope the rink has a covering over it, but then how would anyone in the upper stands see the game?
-
He figured the Bengals would never see it coming?

It looks like Cleveland is in with a Tennessee loss, regardless of what happens in the Browns/49ers game next week. If Tennessee wins out, they hold the tiebreaker for strength of victory. If the Titans lose, Cleveland will have a better conference record.
-
The Browns really fucked up that last drive. Way too much dinking and dunking.
-
I guess Cincinnati doesn't want to win this game either.

Kind of hard for me to watch ESPN all day, considering I don't get it. I don't see how a disinterested observer could say definitively that Green Bay is the clear favourite in the NFC after watching today's game. It's not that they're losing; they're getting embarrassed by a bad team. They still should make the NFC title game, since there aren't any other good teams in the NFC besides Dallas, but they can't be considered the clear favourite. The Packers will definitely lose to the Cowboys in the NFC Title Game if it's played in Chicago with 22 mph wind gusts and 18 degree temperatures, plus a little snow. What, is Green Bay suddenly in Southern California? The Packers don't know how to play in bad weather anymore? And are the Bears somehow playing in 70-degree weather right now?

And to think I was thinking Green Bay was the favourite in the NFC now with TO's ankle injury.

I'm watching the Bills game right now, and all I can say is I really hope the weather in Buffalo improves for next Wednesday's hockey game. It's seven degrees and raining right now. This is what happens when you plan an outdoor game for somewhere other than Edmonton in the dead of winter. That game was just awesome to watch.

Payback for last year? And another blocked punt taken back for six. Payback for last year came earlier this year when they lost at home, which had been Green Bay's only other loss aside from the Dallas game. I had a feeling they should've gone for it on 4th. THAT'S who beat them! I couldn't remember where the Pack's other loss came from, and I couldn't be bothered to go look it up.

The only thing worse than watching the Browns' performance so far today is listening to Dan Dierdorf talking about it. Shut the fuck up, you! He's very rapidly approaching the first tier of Most Obnoxious Commentators in Football, which is a sacred place inhabited only by luminaries in shittery like Phil Simms and Bryant Gumbel. What you mean, rapidly approaching? He's been there since his days with Monday Night Football.

Someone's salivating at the thought of drawing the Giants in the first round of the playoffs. They'd have trouble beating the Dolphins right now. Hell, they DID have trouble beating the Dolphins, come to think of it.

You guys aren't going to believe this, but Martin Havlat injured himself and is out of the game against the Sens.

That happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I wasn't impressed. The whole reason I get clementines is because there aren't any seeds in them.

I wonder what this will do to planned DVD season sets. Will they combine this season's episodes with next season's set, or sell half a season at a reduced price?

I definitely wouldn't have expected Crosby to ever get a Gordie Howe hat trick. He looked good, though.
