The good part (I guess) is that I don't think anyone wins more than once against my schedule. Opponents are averaging 10 right against me; that's ridiculous.
-
I thought he was talking about the attention whore who bought the ball. But I can see how someone could think the way you did.

Cena Injured Tonight (Out 6-12 Months)
CanadianChris replied to PILLS! PILLS! PILLS!'s topic in The WWE Folder
Also, where did anyone say Cena tore the muscle clean off the bone? All I've seen is that it was a suspected torn pec, with further evaluation taking place today. -
You get the knowledge that you outsmarted a bunch of faceless message board posters to win a meaningless internet contest. Sorry, our sponsor backed out this year.
-
No, you're right, I just read that article and your post about two minutes apart and thought it was funny.

Cena Injured Tonight (Out 6-12 Months)

Exactly. I'll bet Cena wasn't expecting to have to throw a 250-pound man over his hip without any cooperation. -
Cena Injured Tonight (Out 6-12 Months)

If it did happen as Ripper described, that's the sort of thing where anyone could easily tear a muscle, because the muscles are being asked to do something completely unexpected. -

Anyone unlock or upgrade their iPhone? Because Apple's coming, and they're pissed: http://www.computerworld.com/blogs/node/6287

The Patriots close with three really easy games this season - vs NYJ, vs Mia, @NYG. If they can get to 13-0, I think they've got it in them to finish 16-0 even if they don't go all out for most of December.

Cena Injured Tonight (Out 6-12 Months)

Right, because no one has ever torn a muscle unless they're on steroids. -
I've never heard a single soul say that until you just did.

Changed my NL MVP vote after last night's game.

Well, they both have lots of pitchers left, but the Padres have a lot more good pitchers still available.
-
If you're San Diego, when do you bring in Hoffman? You can't just leave your best reliever on the bench while the game remains tied, can you?
-
San Diego's in much better shape going to extra innings, having only used two pitchers. I'd be surprised if they lose this game at this point. Is this the first one-game playoff to go to extra innings? EDIT: Never mind, it is. Also only the second non-WS/LCS/LDS playoff game ever to go extras (the Dodgers and Braves went 12 innings in a 1959 three-game playoff game).

Well, then. I was expecting a double play the way the night looked to be going, not a grand slam.

The place looks packed. I know people that live there that had real trouble getting tickets.

Every time I hear Don Orsillo to open a broadcast, I keep thinking it's Sean McDonough. Their voices sound nearly identical.

They're on ESPN next Friday at San Jose State, and on ESPN2 November 23 hosting Boise State.
-
Nah, I'm expecting him to show up in the Cubs jersey touting the division win Friday night, and completely ignore the Bears. Incidentally, I am indeed 0-4. I'm waiting for Gert T to win so I can lay full claim to the mantle of Worst Team In The League.

Because they weren't ranked at the start of the season, don't have any high-profile wins, and play in the Pacific time zone.

Oy. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=3044510 This has "bad start" written all over it. I still haven't shaken the image of Gerber getting waxed by the Leafs in last season's home opener.

George W. Bush is completely right.
CanadianChris replied to Big Ol' Smitty's topic in Current Events
On the main page, this comes up as "George W. Bush is completely r..." I certainly didn't fill in the r... with "right." -
Are you enjoying this a little bit, Al?
