I'm pretty sure it's this one: http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.a...=&langid=EN

Only near the end of his career, I think. He was always known as a good teammate when I watched him in Toronto.

I bought a 52" 1080p 120 Hz Sony Bravia on the weekend, plus surround speakers and Blu-Ray player. We're pretty excited. The Best Buy sales guy saw us coming from a mile away.

I've started eating Shreddies again. Hadn't had them in about 20 years. It's probably the best wheat-based cereal I've ever had.

Really? He's a shoo-in in my mind. Do you think the spitting incident will keep him out next year? Seems kind of silly in light of all the guys not getting in because of PEDs.

That was Jim Deshaies. I remember going to his website, www.putjdinthehall.com. I am absolutely stunned that Tim Raines is probably not going to make the Hall of Fame. He was one of the three best players from my childhood (keeping in mind that I started following baseball around 83-84, after Mike Schmidt started to decline). Yet Jim Rice was somehow championed into the Hall. I loved these lines from Rob Neyer's latest blog entry...sums it up perfectly:

I think it comes down to the QBs. In a game that could very well hinge on one key mistake, the Steelers have a huge advantage over the Ravens with Roethlisberger having the Super Bowl ring and the big-game experience.
-
I am cheering hard for Philly to win the Super Bowl, but I'm 0-4 so far in the NFC playoffs, so I'll probably pick Arizona.
-
Sad day for the NFL. You won't find many better people than Tony Dungy.
-
And their game against Atlanta was almost blacked out because they couldn't get a sellout. That's some bandwagon they've got going there. Arizona is only the second team ever to host two playoff games in non-consecutive weeks, after the 2006 Colts.

The offence was never a concern to start with, although having an offensive-minded head coach will hopefully keep it as prolific as it has been. The defence is horrible, one of the worst in the entire league, and should be the primary concern.
-
With the matchup over in the other conference, this game has a "real Super Bowl" feel to it.

Ah, who can forget my Cinderella run to the regional finals? Good times. Venkman Edwin Agent treble - VX gets the shaft here, which is unfortunate, because he's certainly in the top half of this group of 8. But, Leo will likely win this matchup and definitely has my vote in the final four.
-
I hope he works out better than other recent Pats coordinators-turned-head coaches. I also hope they hire a DC that can actually coach defence. And a GM that can evaulate defensive talent.

Shit. Missed the one game I needed. Oh well, enjoy the rest of the season. Thanks to kkk as always.
-
Damn, I was hoping the tiebreaker would come into play after nailing the first game right on the freaking nose.
-
I'm gonna get stomped. I'll go with: Venkman Slayer CC Edwin Smues Kamala treble 909

I thought so too, but it's not looking like it from what I've been reading.

My picks: Ravens over Titans: I haven't been sold on the Titans all year, and I'm still not. The offenses are pretty much a wash. Both QBs will struggle mightily. I see this being extremely low scoring (I picked 13-10 in the kkk pool) and probably hinging on a key defensive play. I think the Ravens D is just a touch better. Steelers over Chargers: I'm not buying the sudden Charger resurgence. They needed OT just to beat a good but aging Colts team at home, which is their only decent win all season. I think the Steelers beat the hell out of them on both sides of the ball. Panthers over Cardinals: The Cardinals are 50/50 to even show up for this game. (Either they show up, or they don't.) The Cards did not impress me in beating a very young Falcons team at home, and odds are they'll just be satisfied with getting their one playoff win. Carolina is gonna murderize them, something like 34-10 or 37-14. Giants over Eagles: I've said all year that the Giants are the best team in football, and this is where they start to prove it. No way does Philly get anything done against this defence, and Brandon Jacobs is going to ram the ball down their throats.

Even though this was probably my worst year in this contest, it was a lot of fun as always. Thanks, Bored.

Hoo boy. Not only did the Sens lose, but Hartsburg was pointing the finger at Alfredsson and Spezza in the postgame news conference. Yeah, he's gone soon. Get rid of Murray while you're at it.

Or, I have a degree in statistics and 10 years experience in the field, and I know that probability and odds measure the exact same thing, and are just expressed differently (as your example showed). One or the other. Yeah but your statistics are only worth 84% of his 33% because they're either worth more, less, or exactly the same. Right? Exactly. Can we move on?

So, BC followed up that huge win over Carolina by losing to...Harvard! At home, no less! Letdown game to end all letdown games.
