I can't ever see taking a team against a divisional opponent on the road when they'll play that same team at home later and there's another good game to pick.
-
Sox/Yanks is taking absolutely forever. Three hours in, and they're only in the top of the sixth. And they've only scored seven runs!

That's excessive. I'd be in favour of suspending Belichick four games, but you can't suspend the entire coaching staff. And there's absolutely no precedent to vacate a victory for cheating. If you go down that road, you may as well vacate any team's victories when they have a player suspended for steroids. I would say suspend Belichick for four games, making sure to ban him from any and all contact with the team during that period, and take away both first-round picks, and maybe a second. Fining people has absolutely no impact.

Oh God yes. He actually made me like LEBATARD. Damn him.

I would have thought you'd have taken the hint the first time you posted this and we all ignored it.

Fall Finish.

Finally, a win. I was beginning to wonder if the Yankees would ever lose again. A.J.'s been really good since he came back. He hasn't given up more than 4 hits in a game since his return, and he's gotten the walks way down lately, too.

Lou Holtz actually said on live TV that he believes Notre Dame could have trouble making a BCS bowl this year if they lose to Michigan and fall to 0-3. Thanks, Lou. Amazing insight.

ESPN just cut into the WV/Maryland game to say Belichick would be fined $500K and the Patriots $250K. Also, if the Pats make the playoffs, they'll forfeit a first-round pick.

The Buffalo uniform looks more like an NFL jersey than a hockey sweater.

2007: Most disastrous year in WWE history?
CanadianChris replied to Dobbs 3K's topic in The WWE Folder
Nope. Although it would fit them perfectly. -
Well, I have the Bears. This is the type of game they would win 41-3 last year.

This week should be interesting. There are four double-digit home favourites this week (PIT, BAL, CHI, DEN), and I have a feeling there's going to be at least one big upset.

The league set Mark Bell's suspension at 15 games.

The all-time champion here has to be the Honky Tonk Man. I mean, come on, a wrestling Elvis impersonator? That never should have worked as well as it did.

Because the Finals thread was getting cluttered with the whole Nashville/other teams moving discussion, and Nightwing made a very sensible suggestion that this thread be created. Go nuts.

Just for fun, I looked up Johnny Mac's numbers on BP. He has an EqA of .225 this season, and a VORP of -8.9. Good job, J.P. Billy Beane sure taught you well.

I heard rumours about this. I hoped they weren't true. I like him too, but he's a poor man's David Eckstein, and I don't mean that in a good way.

Did they have heat going into the match? Or did Michaels just not want to work with Hogan? I recall something about it being agreed that it would be like Hogan did with The Rock where Michaels would go over on the rematch but something happened since Hogan could not wrestle after that so Michaels did what he did since he was to lose anyway. That was Shawn's idea, but Hogan wanted to go over in the rematch as well.

Did they have heat going into the match? Or did Michaels just not want to work with Hogan? Shawn hated Hogan's proposed finish (which, of course, was Hogan winning clean with the legdrop). He expressed his displeasure in typical HBK fashion.

How does Janssen stay in there so long without getting an out? On a semi-related note, I don't think there's any way John Gibbons keeps his job after this season.

I knew there was a reason I wasn't bothering with this thread during the Ravens game.

For everyone who doesn't get WWE 24/7, here are a couple of Macho Man title defences at MSG -- one great, one not so much: Randy Savage vs. Ted DiBiase, April 25, 1988: Part 1 | Part 2 Randy Savage vs. Andre the Giant, October 24, 1988: Part 1 | Part 2

Put Jay Gibbons down on the list for receiving both steroids and HGH: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3012372 Gibbons was also named in the Jason Grimsley bust.
