LSU/Virginia Tech was supposed to be a big game, was it? Right now it's just a showcase for LSU. I don't see that changing.

Bret Hart's fourth WWF title win at Final Four, February 1997: Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4
-
Another big upset brewing -- #3 West Virginia is down 13-6 at Marshall at the half.
-
We said the same thing about the Central last year, and the West the year before that. It's nothing new.

From the July 21, 1997 RAW in Halifax: Hart Foundation interview Bret Hart attacks Vince McMahon during HHH/Patriot match Hart Foundation vs. Austin/Dude Love/Undertaker - Flag match - part 1 Hart Foundation vs. Austin/Dude Love/Undertaker - Flag match - part 2 The one thing I'd love to find from this show is the HBK interview where he's announced as the guest ref for the Bret/Taker title match at Summerslam.

Guess what, everyone? Leena's leading. And I doubt anyone's going to catch her -- she's got another 50 points coming sometime next week when Chemical Ali is executed. Damn obscure famous people whose deaths I never hear about (i.e. Pete Demmerle and Jane Tomlinson). Of course it isn't. Everyone has the same opportunity to PM picks or pick late. I laughed when I saw Edwin's picks matched mine completely. I thought about switching, but why switch games you already think are right?

Who would've thought the more dominant Big East team so far tonight would've been Cincinnati and not Louisville?

What was he on?

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
CanadianChris replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
I'm not surprised they would say something like that. I would imagine no one goes to the doctor with concussion-like symptoms and asks to be checked out, not unless the symptoms are really serious. They just work through it and self-medicate. How long did Bret Hart wrestle with concussions at the end of his career? Still, I've seen Benoit knocked loopy on numerous occasions. I find it impossible to believe he'd never suffered a concussion, documented or not. It's pretty irresponsible to make it sound like Benoit never suffered one, because that is what people will hear. -
We still have room for 10 more if anyone else wants to sign up.

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released

Didn't Dynamite warn Benoit a long time ago about how badly the diving headbutt could mess him up? -
St. Hubert -- It's the Quebec version of Swiss Chalet, only it's 100x better. The Works -- Local burger chain. One of the top 3 burgers I've ever had.

I'm staying far away from Denver this week. Not after the last two years, where they opened on the road against inferior opponents both times and didn't even bother to show up.

Please don't take away my fun. Pavarotti dead. Three of you are cashing in. Updated Standings - September 6, 2007 (changes in red) 170 - Toshiaki Koala 150 - King Kamala Classic 125 - Will Scarlet 100 - Walmart Patron 90 - Cuban Linx, dh86, MillenniumMan831, vivalaultra 80 - v.2 65 - Marvinisalunatic 60 - Vampiro69 50 - Gosunkugi, Hawk 34, Sideburnious, Timmy8271 30 - Darthtiki, k thx, treble, UndertakerHart, Vern Gagne 15 - NYU, spman

JAX over Tennessee?
-
This is about the only one I feel good about besides maybe KC over Houston or Denver over Buffalo. I'm DEFINITELY not taking any three-point road underdogs.
-
I never pick a road team unless I'm virtually forced into it.

Is it too early to call all of the AL divisional races over? All the leaders have leads of at least 7 games with 26 games or fewer left.
-
Definitely on the bubble (although I wouldn't say he's like Damphousse, because I think Damphousse is a definite no). Personally, I'd have a hard time voting him in. Turgeon has never been a particularly memorable player -- he was hardly ever among the league scoring leaders, never won any awards, and his teams never went far in the playoffs.

August 2-5 - WGC-Bridgestone Invitational - Firestone CC (South Course), Akron, OH (Tiger Woods) August 2-5 - Reno-Tahoe Open - Montreux G&CC, Reno, NV (Will Mackenzie) August 9-12 - PGA Championship - Southern Hills CC, Tulsa, OK (Tiger Woods) August 16-19 - Wyndham Championship - Forest Oaks CC, Greensboro, NC (Davis Love III) August 23-26 - The Barclays - Westchester CC, Rye, NY (Vijay Singh) August 31-September 3 - Deutsche Bank Championship - TPC Boston, Norton, MA (Tiger Woods) The last two, of course, as everyone who has watched any Tour events lately knows (because the Tour has beaten it into their heads), are the first two FedEx Cup playoff tournaments. I'm interested in this year's PGA Championship just because I'm pretty sure Tiger's not going to win, and the tournament will be pretty wide open. I wouldn't be surprised to see another first-time major winner step up. This is shaping up to be another 2003 with four first-time winners. The Bridgestone is Tiger's personal ATM whenever they have it at Firestone, so I'm not expecting much intrigue there this week.

I only saw one team I'm willing to back this week. It's probably the same one LaParkaMarka is thinking of.
-
JR is back! Everyone rejoice! One year, $500K with San Jose.

Having seen Miller firsthand for two playoff series, I can say he's better than good. He's the only reason Buffalo wasn't blown out in every game last year.
