Why not? I just finished the whole book in under 8.

The course did it to him a bit too. I was reading on ESPN.com where he had to take a penalty stroke after his ball plugged.

Wow, Mickelson is going to miss the cut. He never really has liked this tournament, has he?

Report: NBA Referee bets on games, including those he worked
CanadianChris replied to Your Paragon of Virtue's topic in Sports
And here I thought the refs just sucked. If true, this is a disaster, an absolute nightmare for David Stern. Nothing is worse than allegations that the games are fixed. -
Bon voyage, Alexei Yashin! AND DON'T COME BACK!!

Weir's making a nice charge. -3 on the day with two to go, three back in a tie for third.

Potential bombshell...the FBI is investigating a report that an NBA ref bet on games, including some that he himself officiated: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2943095

I don't like it. He hasn't exactly melted down, but Sergio is keeping everyone alive with his round today. He could've put a lot of pressure on everyone by shooting 66 or 67 again today, and he's not even at par through 13.

I was just looking back at this year's playoff threads, and realized that I forgot to post this picture that I got after my wife noticed it on TV. I thought it was quite funny. This was during the Ottawa celebration in the corner after the series-winner against Buffalo:

Yeah, I think I started it around the start of training camp last year.

My favourite team actually WON a baseball game today. Good pitching performance by McGowan and some timely hitting in the seventh.

I have a feeling we're going to see some very diverse opinions in the NHL Predictions thread.

Well, sure, now that he went to the old man putter. I can't stand long putters, especially when they're used by perfectly healthy people. Putting's a skill, try learning it if you want to be a pro.

That Heyman story was awesome. If I were ever in a position where I cared about my job/boss/company as little as he obviously did, I hope I'd have the huevos to do something like that.

Major restaurants and stores not in your area?

I've never been able to tell the difference. But I only go there for the chicken. -
What on earth would we need with ANOTHER slick-fielding, light-hitting SS?
-
I don't even know if they're playoff bound, really. They'll probably be scrapping for the last couple of playoff spots at the end of the season again. In fact, I can see the same five teams as last year (Leafs, Habs, Canes, Lightning and Islanders) fighting for the last two spots and the right to be eliminated by the Sens and Rangers in the first round.

It was at Birkdale. He holed out from the fairway on the final hole to finish T-4. There wasn't anyone holing out from the 18th fairway at Carnoustie.

Yeah, I don't know why anyone would touch the roast beef at Arby's. My wife really like it, though. -
I'm 99.44% sure no one did.

I don't think it's that surprising. The real surprise would be if he's anywhere near the leaderboard on Sunday.

I had heard a different version -- that he was kicked out of the locker room by the Triple Threat (version 2.1) when he was trying to get backstage to visit Justin Credible in '97 or '98. Storm, Candido, Bigelow? I'd buy that....My memory of the Triple Threat is a little hazy, but inserting Shane Douglas into that equation only makes your story more believable. It was the Douglas/Candido/Bigelow version.

WWE + Paul Heyman + Pat Patterson - Stephanie - Johnny Ace = something I might actually want to watch.

But you're not Oakland...
