True, but I thought she did a really good job. I actually saw Lyndon in the parking lot on Saturday, meeting fans. In full uniform. On a 25-degree day.
-
That might be relevant if it was Neil that got elbowed in the head. Seriously, I don't get the point of this. Fuck, typing with a broken finger is hard.

Can you name that film by its middle frame?

I could only get 5. Anyone who beat Ken Jennings (who got 28) has spent way too much time watching movies. -
San Antonio in 5. Because...well, it's Cleveland. They don't win titles in Cleveland.

That's disgusting. I'd love to see Pronger out for the rest of the series, but I'd settle for two games. Even worse was that neither of the refs even saw it.
-
I couldn't see the Pronger hit from where I was sitting. I'm going to have to try and catch highlights on SportsCentre tomorrow morning. What an awesome game, though. I may have hearing damage. I definitely have an awfully sore throat. The first half of the game, the mood was pretty tense as the Sens played a lot like they did in the first two games, but the disallowed goal that was overturned completely shifted the momentum, for the team and the crowd. You should've seen the crowd outside of Scotiabank Place after the game -- it was a madhouse. Cheering, yelling, pompoms waving, horns honking...it was like the win over Buffalo all over again.

What are the chances NBC cuts away from the hockey game to go to Saturday Night's Main Event in the event of overtime?

This one is pretty funny.

It makes more sense than K-W, at least. More than Winnipeg, too, really -- they already have an NHL-ready arena, at least as far as capacity goes, and a much larger potential population base.

Pretty much as bad as last year, as far as I can tell. Watch them make a fourth straight trip to the WS just to keep fucking with everyone I wouldn't be terribly shocked. Milwaukee has just as good a shot as anyone else in the NL right now.

There are a lot of things players do in the name of "trying to win a game" that are still bush league. Quit trying to rationalize things and just accept the fact that the guy's a bit of a low-class player.

I'm shocked that A-Rod could be such a big pussy during a game. SHOCKED.
-
Oof. Well, they won two on their rink. Time for us to win two on our rink. I can't help but think that if the Sens showed the same urgency all game that they showed in the last three minutes, they could have won this one. They need to show that urgency Saturday night, or this series is over for sure.

This is going to be one stressful third period. Ottawa hasn't gotten anything in the way of quality scoring chances for quite awhile.

I didn't think 2007 was supposed to be that good of a draft class.

Simmons had a good article today about which trades for Kobe are most feasible, using ESPN.com's Trade Machine. I'd love to see the Kobe-to-Phoenix scenario come about, even though it never will.

The Yankees figured out Jesse Litsch pretty quickly

I always wondered why they never had a captain last year. Crosby was clearly the leader of the team.

I almost wish Anglesault was still around.

Aaron Hill just stole home! First time I've ever seen it live.

NO! And no.

Or, Ottawa lost to the better team. At least, the better goalie. CanadianChris - 6 point infraction. Sens drop game 1, and right on cue, the Ottawa fans come out making excuses for the loss. If there's one thing I've learned over the past seven years, it's that Ottawa never loses to the better team. Since this really belongs in this thread, how am I making excuses? They played a bad third period and lost. It's not like they played an amazing period of hockey but couldn't get anything done.
-
They just flat ran out of gas. Nothing more complicated than that.

We're supposed to get a thunderstorm Thursday or Friday, so I'm hoping that'll clear things up a bit. I'd prefer Thursday over Friday, since I'm golfing at Prescott Friday morning. A much better second period by Ottawa. Emery looked sharp when he was actually in the net. If the shot from centre had gone in on the two-man advantage, though, he'd never hear the end of it.
