They're going to blame him for there not being enough runners on base when he homered in the ninth.

The Blue Jays snapped their five-game losing streak...in Fenway, of all places. The bullpen came up with their best game in awhile, with four innings of two-hit ball, and the offence came alive as well with 14 hits.

AWESOME squeeze play to tie...oh, wait, doesn't the runner on third need to be running?
-
Looks like Dallas wins.

I was listening to Fox Sports Radio on the way home when I heard this. Awful news. I think I'm going to find my copy of Playing For Keeps and reread it.

This is the first Game 7 I can remember where I have absolutely no interest in watching. That's how bad the hockey has been in this series.

I wouldn't say that just yet, given that the biggest knock on him was that he can't stay on the field. Let's see if he can play 150 games this year. He is off to a good start, though.

Watching The Reporters on TSN this morning, the panelists were pretty much agreed that the Flames had embarrassed themselves. Maybe that's just the Calgary media.
-
Oh, well, that's good enough.

This is the worst I've seen the Yankees' pitching staff since the late 80s/early 90s.
-
Yeah. I must have missed the part of Hrudey's career where he won five Vezinas and two Harts and was qualified to criticize a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

New Jersey doesn't have a single 70-point man on their team, and only nine guys with 30 or more points. They finished next-to-last in the East in goals scored. I don't think I'm exactly on shaky ground when I say the Devils won't be able to match goals with the Senators, who are a wee bit better defensively than the Lightning.
-
Yeah, that's what I would've thought as well, but apparently not.

The Amazing Race: All-Star Edition
CanadianChris replied to Spaceman Spiff's topic in Television & Film
Four, actually. Usually there are only three. That was unexpected. -
I suppose it is too much to ask for a Leaf fan to cheer for Ottawa in a "doin' it for the conference!" kind of way, except with "country" replacing "conference."

Scientists predict next 193 years of Earth History

This kills me. What does this have to do with anything? Are we supposed to be scared that all the calendars will be off by a day 2 million years from now? -
Actually, that's when they started to rally back. They lost 16 of 18 right after the All-Star break.

This will come as a complete shock to everyone, but I see it the other way. I think the Devils just don't have enough scoring punch to get past Ottawa. Brodeur is going to need to win this series for the Devils. He's certainly capable of doing it, but I didn't see him play at that level against Tampa Bay. Besides, no one wants to see the Devils in the conference finals again. Well, no one except Barron, that is.

Oof, it's looking a lot like a sweep at the hands of Baltimore and a 5-game losing streak for the Jays. They just look completely flat, maybe disheartened at all the injuries. It's still early yet, but getting a potential 4.5 games down to Boston can't be good.
-
All right, bring on the Devils.
-
Too early to get rid of Thomas, I think. He's become a slow starter in his old age, but he'll get going.
-
Good Lord. Please don't tell me Vancouver is going to blow ANOTHER 3-1 series lead. Can't anyone put a puck in the net?

I've seen C-Bacon's work in the CE folder.
