Jack would probably disagree. And Crenshaw. And a few others. This tournament has turned into another US Open, which I hate.

In eighth grade, we had a creepy old guy named Mr. Wallace who started by asking the class to define a bunch of body parts. The first one was "anus." Uncomfortable silence, then Mr. Wallace disgustedly said, "It's the opening to the rectum!" and refused to teach us any more that class. We were all pretty grateful for that.

The switch from Pat Gillick to Snitsky is going to take a LOT of getting used to. BJ Ryan just got his first blown save of the season. 2-run HR from Delmon Young and it's tied at 5 in the ninth, Rays still batting. Tampa Bay has scored all their runs on homers tonight.

Get ready for some awesome hockey in the Ottawa/Pittsburgh series. The Rangers just beat Montreal and are now in the playoffs. Either Montreal or Toronto (or both!) will be golfing next week.

Go to ESPN.com. There coverage is much better I tried that. It said the stream wasn't available in my area -- presumably because TSN.ca has exclusive rights to the Canadian stream. Faldo said the winning score could be over par this year. Based on what I've seen so far, I can believe it.

I think your right about Camby but I think the NCAA investigation was into other practices as well (my mind escapes me over what they were investigating since it was a decade or so ago). While they never blamed Calipari for anything when you have the NCAA investigating your program for ANYTHING red flags go up in certain places and some people think your guilty of stuff you actually might be innocent of. I think Calipari's record speaks for itself and I'd love to have him coach UK but I have a feeling that he's not going to be jumping ship considering the team he has in place for next year. He was on the Jim Rome show yesterday and basically said as much. He has no desire to go to another school.

There's always some past champion on the leaderboard for the first day or two. Ben Crenshaw was 5 back going into the weekend last year, only to shoot 79-78 and finish last. Fuzzy was -1 for a while today as well.

Thanks. I picked up Jarrod Washburn earlier in the week, so I at least have some insurance for next week.

I was hoping Freddy Garcia would be back with the Phillies this weekend, but he's making a rehab start in A-ball first. Now I need 7 innings minimum from Oliver Perez and Dave Bush, plus probably four innings from my relievers.

The Jays/Tigers game is postponed due to below-freezing temperatures and snow. Love that global warming!

EDIT: Wrong thread.

Donovan is staying at Florida.

Looks like pretty tough scoring conditions out there today. Only five guys are under par. Lefty is +4 through 6.

Apparently, you may be the only person in America who doesn't. I have a hard time believing anyone who hosts a program "WHAT IS A CHRISTIAN?" (on right now on CNN) could be gay...because a gay person OBVIOUSLY cant be a Christian...not a normal one anyway. Wow, that's one airtight argument you've got there.

I just flipped over to the Dodgers/Brewers game on FSN. It made me realize what a sad day it will be for all baseball fans when Vin Scully finally retires.

Beckett's success was a bit deceiving. He only gave up two hits, but he walked four and threw only 46 strikes in 94 pitches. He's not going to be very effective if he keeps throwing so few strikes.

Maybe it's because I pretty much only hear him on the radio, but I just don't get the Pierre McGuire hate. He's extremely knowledgeable about hockey and articulate.

Wife had the baby half hour ago and he's on his way to the park now supposedly..according to the Os network anyway.. *Whoosh* goes the point over Marvin's head.

It doesn't look like Joe Nathan is going to be rushing to the Metrodome anytime soon.

Well, it's about freaking time they brought this back.

My wife will be crushed.

Awesome compilation of botched moves, posted by Bill Simmons in his column today: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxU4iYgcumQ

Thom Brennamann was just saying how the Cubs paid $40 million for Ted Lilly, despite Lilly only being 2 games over .500 for his career and having an ERA around 4.50, and Jeff Brantley let out a clearly audible derisive snort when the words "forty million dollars" came out. Brantley is awesome.
