If you watch the replay, you'll see that's not the case. I'm not speaking as an Ottawa fan; it's been pretty much agreed that it was a clean hit. It was just as clean as the hit that Campbell laid on Umberger in the playoffs last year.

A) Kerry Fraser sucks. B) There was no interference. C) If there was interference, there should have been a penalty instead of just the goal being waved off. D) Kerry Fraser sucks.

Do you mean the Raw where Austin beat up Bret in the ambulance? That's the only thing along those lines I recall. That's the one. Bret and Austin met in a street fight earlier that night to set the whole thing up.

I wonder how long Peters' suspension will be. I would imagine the league takes a dim view of tough guys jumping in and fighting goalies.

HBK vs. Sid from Survivor Series 96 was another great match. Probably Sid's best singles match ever. And, of course, Bret vs. Austin from the same show.
-
I would have had it in the top 5, but I can think of a few moments that were better. The Bret/Austin street fight, for one, and the teased Austin/McMahon fight that led to Dude Love's heel turn. Also the ECW reformation, if I could only forget how it ended.

I didn't check...my TV was tuned to Sportsnet Ontario when I turned it on and the game had already started. I wonder why the game was on both channels, then.
-
I couldn't figure out why Sportsnet Ontario had the Sens game on. I thought it was on A-Channel tonight.

I thought I was pretty good. I waited three whole hours.

Not at all. It was pretty even.

Randy Savage vs. Ultimate Warrior - 2/20/89 (champion vs. champion)

Goalie fight in Buffalo! GOALIE FIGHT IN BUFFALO!!! HOLY SHIT...EMERY IS FIGHTING ANDREW PETERS!!!

Yeah, but that was before weekly TV became more than just a string of squashes with the occasional angle development. SNME today isn't anything more special than the average TV show. Judging from the first two they've done, I'd say it actually means less.

Four teams get a bye -- top two in each division. I doubt the committee even give it (the fact they got a bye) a second thought. Their job is to look at the games teams played, not games they didn't.

Mickelson, Furyk and Vijay join Retief in making early exits. Tiger's now the only one of the top eight still around.
-
That makes my decision pretty easy. First pick... Freddy Garcia, SP, Phillies
-
Against all of Canada, really.
-
Tiger is just laying the smack down on Tim Clark, 5 up through 8. The most interesting match tomorrow would probably be Charles Howell and Phil Mickelson, should both advance. Phil's trailing Justin Rose, though, 1 down through 11. Oh, and Retief is out.

I loved the Quebecers -- one of the best teams of the early 90s. Johnny Polo was just awesome as the manager, too. I still remember him coming out in a Canadiens jersey with "WE ARE THE QUEBECERS JACQUES AND PIERRE AND I AM JOHNNY" on the back.

Please, let's not.

A huge home-and home series starts tonight in Buffalo between the Sabres and Senators. There will be the last two meetings between the teams this season, and the last chance for Ottawa to gain ground directly at the Sabres' expense. Currently, Buffalo is 12 points clear of Ottawa with 22 games remaining for both teams. The Senators have a full roster after Ray Emery returned from his suspension. The Sabres, meanwhile, are missing five regulars due to injury -- RWs Ales Kotalik and Maxim Afinogenov, Cs Jiri Novotny and Paul Gaustad, and D Jaroslav Spacek are all out.

Texas is as much of a one-man team as there's ever been. Durant is spectacular, but there's nothing special about the rest of the team. I can't see them making the Sweet 16 unless there's an upset in their part of the bracket -- any team in the top 15 should be able to beat them.
