Looks like the Pats are going to have to hope for a Jets loss in Seattle and/or a Miami loss in KC to get a playoff spot. Get both and they control their own destiny. Get neither and they're reduced to hoping for a shocking upset by Jacksonville next week.

I have never seen the Senators play this bad in my 12 years of following the team. They just cannot score goals. Hartsburg's talking about scratching Spezza if he doesn't play harder, that's how bad things have gotten.

Except if you're in the two local markets, since the TV contract mandates that all games in a local team's market be shown over the air.

That should be a solid pick, I think. Cardinals are awful on the east coast. I think either you'll win it this week or we'll tie the season. Say what? The Jets haven't won a game on the west coast this season (they've gone 0-3 against the Niners, Chargers and Raiders). The Cardinals haven't won a game on the east coast this season. I'd say a Jets loss is a wee bit more likely than a Pats loss this week.

I'm very nervous about my pick this week. I don't have a lot of faith in any of the three teams I was considering.

No, division record only counts if you're in the same division. Conference record is the first tiebreaker, but you'd be tied there. You don't have enough common games for that tiebreaker to come into effect. Next one is strength of victory, and it looks at first glance like you'd have that one, but I really don't know for sure.

They can wait until 6 days prior to flex for week 17. So, next Monday.
