I was wondering, considering I saw the thread on Tuesday and couldn't find it yesterday when I went to submit my Thursday pick. I thought I'd been seeing things.

So did anyone watch the big statements by Harper and Dion? Dion's statement was a farce; the tape was delivered to the major news organizations way late and didn't get aired in the half-hour window the networks had allotted, and the video quality was just slightly batter than a typical bin Laden announcement. Oh, and Dion had a big book called Hot Air on the bookshelf behind him.

What exactly are you suggesting be changed? It's not like we're going to suddenly stop being a parliamentary democracy.

Harper's not going to get one, especially not now. It looks like he learned everything he knows about governing with a minority from Joe Clark.

Don't get me wrong, he's a complete idiot. But suspending him for this? Seems more like a lifetime achievement sort of suspension than anything else.

The Stars are just pissed at Avery because they're losing. If they were winning, they'd just laugh it off. I'm having a tough time with that. They won a very weak Patrick Division in 1991 with only 88 points, then finished third in the division in 1992 on 87 points and had to come back from 3-1 down against Washington before finally waking up. Only in 1993 did they look like a really dominant team...until running into the mighty Islanders.
