I don't even want to contemplate it. I just want a win Saturday night.
-
Not surprising in the least, really. The writing was on the wall after getting slammed by Montreal in that two-game series last month. Now the fun part...who replaces him?
-
If anyone's looking for help in the outfield, make me an offer.
-
Whew, Sens got the first one. Great game, except for a chunk of the second period. Now back to Ottawa on Saturday.
-
For those who watch ESPN a decent amount: Do they cut away for EVERY at-bat? I mean, if they were showing an NBA playoff game, would they cut away from the fourth quarter to show a five-minute Bonds at-bat?
-
I'd be pretty happy for Brind'Amour. Glen Wesley, too -- he was with the team when it was still in Hartford. And he's never won a Cup either.
-
My sympathies. I don't think we'll ever see Dusty in the American League. It's like he has a compulsion for making substitutions.
-
I think it was just before. I remember DiBiase wearing the winged eagle belt when Andre presented it to him after winning the match with Hogan, so Hogan had to have worn it to the ring. I get the feeling this is something I should have known to begin with: What did he come to the ring to later in his career? He had Big John Studd's music after Studd left in 1989. With a bunch of "HOOOOOOOOOOOOO"s overdubbed, of course.

Throw in Alfie's post in the dying seconds of the third last night and it could have been 3-0. Yeah, that's what I was talking about, an inch or 2 the other way and the Sens score. I forgot about Spezza putting it on the goal line in game 2. Yeah, I thought you were talking about Spezza's near-goal in the original post. I misread game 3 as game 2. I got a huge surprise...I found out on ESPN.com that Hasek's not playing tonight. The huge surprise being that I found it on ESPN.com, of course.

This beats them all, but it's not one of the big 3. -
Speaking of Cornette, this was the first, and probably the best, of his weekly rants:
-
According to the spoilers I've seen, the route for next week's finale is: I'm OK with E&J winning. If the Hippies win, I'll throw up in my mouth a little. Or a lot.

Ray & Yolanda or bust.

If Carolina makes it, it'll at least be exciting hockey. In fact, a Carolina-San Jose final, while not exactly two of the biggest hockey markets, would probably be quite an entertaining final.
-
I'm pretty sure they'll use Hasek tomorrow if he's healthy, win or lose. This is suddenly a must-win for the Sabres tonight...being up only 2-1 with Hasek taking over in net isn't nearly as good situation to be in.

1. Bash 91 - I've stated my opinions on this atrocity more than once. 2. KOTR 95 - Aero summed up this one nicely. 3. Uncensored 95 - The King of the Road match, Macho Man winning a no-DQ match by DQ, Badd vs. AA in a boxer/wrestler match, Flair in a dress, and Hogan winning a strap match with Vader by dragging Flair to all four corners. Doesn't get much worse than that. -
I'm going to be keeping an eye on the Jays-A's game tonight. If Josh Towers gets lit up by one of the worst-hitting teams in the majors, it's time to at least take him out of the rotation, and possibly send him down to Syracuse to try and get some confidence back. Hopefully, it's got more to do with him facing three of the top 7 OPS teams in the AL for five straight starts than anything else, but that still doesn't explain him getting pounded by the Twins at the start of the season.

Dunno, but if you have BitTorrent, all the episodes thus far can be easily found online.

Mustard. I can't stand mayonnaise.

Carolina wins. What a comeback.
-
What happened? Raw hasn't yet come on here.
-
Well, Carolina is the better team in their series (home ice and all), so no. But, a late Jersey goal ties the series. EDIT: OH MY GOD CAROLINA TIED IT WITH :03 LEFT.

Unbelievable. Ottawa scores 6 and loses, then gives up 2 and loses again. I'm starting to wonder what it's going to take to win a game in this series. That shot by Spezza late required divine intervention to stay out.
