Washington just took the lead on Atlanta with 10 minutes left...if they hold on, Atlanta's out. I didn't think Atlanta would just skate over the Capitals. They're a team that matches up very well against the Thrashers.
-
How does that relate to the playoffs?
-
They're not the NHL Playoffs, they're the STANLEY CUP~! Playoffs.

Each side can excuse a certain number of potential jurors for any reason (peremptory challenge). I'm pretty sure you can't block a peremptory challenge.

I find Clancy impossible to read. Every time I try, I get bogged down in all the minute details he insists on putting in that have nothing to do with the story. Books I'm reading: Lance Armstrong's War by Daniel Coyle - A look inside LA's 6th Tour de France win, and all the shit he had to endure leading up to it. Interesting read so far, but your interest in this book will likely be determined by your level of interest in Armstrong himself. No Logo by Naomi Klein - see Sylvan's comments above. The da Vinci Code by Dan Brown - I received this for Christmas two years ago, and I'm finally getting around to reading it with all the hype for the movie. Not too impressed so far.

No Hasek: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=162984&hubname= I want to cry. Of course, it's not like I didn't see this coming.
-
The Sens won't be bored when they still have a chance to take first overall in the East. Plus, Hasek is scheduled to start...which could be good or bad.

Isn't that the girl whose mother is dying, and whose wish it was to see her daughter play an LPGA event? Oh, and White Rat is Billy Mayfair.

You don't think Tampa Bay can get a point against Washington at home? And I think Jersey and Buffalo will be meeting before the conference finals. I actually think New Jersey is going to win the Atlantic.

I'm annoyed that it's even that often. -
It's all over for the Leafs. Tampa wins in overtime.
-
The refs must really want the Leafs in the playoffs. Three very questionable penalties have led to three power play goals. The Leafs are still done if Tampa holds onto this lead against Carolina. EDIT: I don't think Ottawa beats Toronto even without the penalties, though. Toronto is just playing desperate hockey.

Sounds good to me. I was also thinking of Furyk. They showed a graphic yesterday of how much he's improved every time he comes back to Harbour Town. He tied for second last year.

With the 51st pick, the Minnesota Vikings select: Abdul Hodge, LB, Iowa
-
I'm probably the most invisible poster in the top 25.
-
You just KNEW that the Lightning/Hurricanes game would end up being a three-point game, making neither Leafs fans nor Sens fans particularly happy. Tampa better pick up the third point.

With the 48th pick, the Minnesota Vikings select: Taitusi "Deuce" Lutui, G, USC

I wanna say Triple H, X-Pac, Road Dogg, Dean Malenko, Chris Benoit VS Too Cool, Rikishi, The Rock, Cactus Jack. Correct if wrong. Stick Saturn in instead of Road Dogg and you've got it.
-
Don't worry, they're meeting their end on Saturday. They're 0-5-2 against Ottawa this season. Add to that (hopefully) a Tampa win over Carolina tomorrow night and that's it. Hey, we clinched the Northeast!

What an EPIC comeback by the Senators from 3-0 down to tie it with two seconds left. I don't care if they win this one...what unbelievable heart.
-
I think so. I just got through rewatching Hard Knocks and Cheap Pops, and they had most of the stuff from the HHH/Cactus Jack feud from the start of the year, and it was all excellent. I have the HHH/Jericho title match on my computer, and it's timeless. And there was so much more fantastic TV that I remember, with Edge/Christian/Angle, Eddy and Chyna, the love triangle...I can't remember so much consistently great TV. It was even better than 1997 (which had superb stuff in the main event, but not much underneath). I can't watch 1997 shows today without FFing through most of the filler -- I can pop in a show from 2000 and generally be entertained throughout.

CNN is reporting that Bonds is being investigated by the feds on possible perjury charges stemming from his grand jury testimony in '03. Story

If we're talking singles, then probably his TV title match with Bobby Eaton at SuperBrawl 91. The best match he was ever in, though, was the Wargames match from 1992, with Sting's Squadron vs. the Dangerous Alliance.
