The OAO RAW thread for April 10, 2006

Shane moves away. Hilarious. -
Well, sheeyit. Carolina is now in front in the East (more wins). I don't expect them to stay there, though, given they have the tougher schedule and Ottawa figures to get most of their players back this week. Hopefully the rumours of the B's quitting on their coach are true...a nice, easy win tomorrow would be nice.

Is this better or worse than Hogan (and all of us) seeing Warrior in the mirror? -

Oh, you have to be KIDDING. -
Ted went over to Robin's apartment, which is where they left the last episode, all the while imagining seeing Victoria everywhere (since he was on the way to cheat on her). On the way, Lily called and spilled the beans about Robin liking Ted. When he got there, Ted lied to Robin and said he broke up with Victoria, and they started making out. Ted then decided to do the right thing and went to the bathroom to call Victoria and break up with her, but he took Robin's phone into the bathroom with him, and Victoria called while Ted was in the bathroom arguing with sub-conscious Victoria. Robin answered Ted's phone and found out that Ted lied. So, Ted now has no girlfriend, and no shot at Robin.

I was wondering how they were going to create the disaster they promised in the synopsis for this episode. Yeah, Ted left his brain at home.

That's better. I thought they'd make Cena look like a chump two weeks in a row with that handshake deal. -

It's been eight years since they first used that turd joke on Owen Hart. -
New episode tonight, for the first time in...geez, how long has it been?

AWESOME period of hockey by the Sens. I wonder if they can keep it up all game. Redden is back tomorrow for sure. Chara may be back Thursday. More good news.

That fucking RULES.

Sorry? I agree. Tampa is really the only easy touch out of those three teams right now. The East as a whole is going to be really tough. Whoever gets out will have earned it. I still think, thought, that Ottawa has to be the team to beat, assuming everyone comes back for the playoffs, which is supposed to happen (although I have no idea about Redden). They've just been far too good with the full team playing. The only question is whether they have enough time to recapture the chemistry from late 2005.

Because he wasn't buying into the "defence at all costs" mentality. He was just ahead of the curve.

WHAT?!? It's just turned into a bloodbath.

I thought Macho's promo was funnier. "I wish it was me, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, yeah...I like me, yeah." Him kissing up to Hogan was funny in retrospect, too.

OK, my last word on this: Why on earth would you backtrack so far on your original statement, when you were using it to try and show that Kitna would be a great mentor? YOU SAID Kitna would be a great mentor for Jacobs. AS EVIDENCE of this, you said that Kitna "mentored" Carson Palmer, and Carson Palmer was the "best QB in the league." THEREFORE, you are saying that Kitna's mentoring is one of the main causes of Palmer being a great QB, because that's the only way this statement could be used in the context of Kitna being a great mentor. End of argument.

edited for accuracy No need to be a smart ass. Carson Palmer was the best QB of the 2005 season, stats proved my point. Stop hatin. Right, and Jon Kitna was responsible for ALL OF IT. Better a smartass than a dumbass. Your the dumbass. Says the guy who can't spell. You sure got me there. If that's not implying that Kitna caused Palmer to be the best QB this season, I don't know what is.
-
What, you mean the Hurricanes that have gone 8-9 down the stretch, mostly against teams that are going to miss the playoffs?

Well, thanks for letting me know. While you're at it, since you're apparently so good at this, can you tell me who's winning the conference finals, so I can make some quick cash?
-
The Canadiens have once won once against the full squad this season, the 4-3 shootout game when the Sens inexplicably took the second half of the game off. Alfredsson, Spezza and Havlat were all out for the second win, and about half the team was missing for the win last Thursday. Plus, the next goal the Habs score against Hasek this season will be their first. All that said, I'd much rather play Tampa Bay in the first round. But there's no way Montreal is dominating Ottawa.
