It's closed, and they've shoveled enough dirt on it that you can barely see it.

This was the worst tournament game I've seen since that Maryland/Indiana final a few years ago. I'm thinking it was even worse than that one, actually.

Flyers were fresh, Senators were not. Philly was skating circles around Ottawa in the first ten minutes. You could tell that the Sens expended most of their energy last night in the crucial divisional win over Buffalo.

Our long national nightmare is FINALLY OVER!!!

Atheists identified as America’s most distrusted minority

Technically, agnosticism is a form of atheism. Strictly speaking, an atheist is anyone who does not believe in a God or gods. An agnostic is someone who believes that it is impossible to know whether there is a God or gods. You can't believe in something if you think its impossible to know whether it exists or not. There are different levels of atheism. I disagree with this, mostly because I have a different definition of atheism. To me, an atheist is someone who denies the existence of a god or gods. You can claim it's impossible to determine whether a god exists without stating flat-out that there is no such being. -
If Washington can follow though on the first half and win this game, I'll have lost all of my Final Four teams before the Elite Eight for the first time EVER. And I'd still be happy.

Canucks win again, 4-3 in a shootout. And what a brutal shootout it was, with a TEN MINUTE LONG goal review to go along with the ultra-ghey stick-measuring party. Just awful. Ditch the shootout if it's going to cause this many problems. For those who saw it, Smyth's goal had to be good. Auld was in the net and the puck was clearly under him.

If you're a Gonzaga fan, THAT was a Stomach Punch game.

That was unbelievable. Too bad I had the game on mute. There's getting excited, and then there's whatever the hell Gus Johnson did.

HOLY FUCKING MOTHER OF GOD, what a finish.

Amazingly, the Thrashers have been very well received, and generally get really good crowds. I say amazing because Atlanta generally has the worst fans in America. Even more amazing when you consider this team had a franchise move, presumably in part because the crowds sucked. That's no guarantee that Atlanta fans will come out.

Thank you very much. -
And try finding Austin's match with Benoit from the Raw after Survivor Series 2000. A great wrestling match that Austin requested just to prove he could still do more than brawl.

WVU leads, and UCLA is within 6. And that's why they don't stop the game after 20 minutes.

Pretty much the whole premise. Religions don't evolve. That's why it's religion. This will get misinterpreted by someone, but it's late and I don't feel like writing a big dissertation. -
I can get that game, but there's no way I can stay up to watch the end of it. 2-1 Vancouver toward the end of the 2nd. Lot of emotion, much like a playoff atmosphere (which is understandable, given what the schedule wizards did). EDIT: Make it 2-2. Carney got screened by the linesman on a turnover and beaten by Torres.

Thank you, New Jersey, for blowing a 4-1 lead in the 3rd and losing in a shootout to the Thrashers. Thank you sooooooooo much. Atlanta is the one team I don't want to see in the first round. They scare the hell out of me.

Nope, still doesn't. -
The other three hostages (two Canadians and a Briton) were rescued by Iraqi and coalition forces yesterday.

And Memphis advances. It'll be interesting seeing them in the regional final going against one of the other top teams, having not played anyone higher than a 9 so far.
-
Well, that'll do it for me in the Yahoo contest. Now I can concentrate on cheering for Washington. Won't catch me DOIN' IT FOR THE CONFERENCE~!

No way is Duke winning this game shooting like this.

Best match: Bret - vs. British Bulldog (Summerslam 92) HBK - vs. Razor Ramon (WrestleMania X, ladder match) Flair - vs. Ricky Steamboat (WrestleWar 89) Austin - vs. Bret Hart (Survivor Series 96) Workers: 1. Flair 2. Bret 3. Austin 4. HBK Talkers: 1. Flair 2. Austin 3. HBK 4. Bret Overall (I just added the rankings above together): 1. Flair 2. Austin 3. Bret 4. HBK One note - Austin would have had a great chance to be above Flair if it hadn't been for the broken neck vs. Owen. People forget this, but his mat skills rivalled anyone's in the mid-90s. He had to change his style just when he became most visible, and the brawling style is all anyone remembers him for now.

That's what I thought.
