I've never seen a team suck at picking Detours as much as the grandparents.
-
Two-part leg already? I haven't seen any mention of a pit stop. But then, I haven't been paying the closest attention.
-
Did they drop the no-lazy-asses Roadblack stipulation? I haven't heard about it yet.

YEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Man, there's nothing more exciting than a last-second game winner.
-
Fuck, Carolina and Buffalo won again. Fuck. At least the Sens are back even with the Bolts. They dug themselves quite a hole.
-
Oh, then my guide's screwed up. Thanks.

Anyone not getting the feed on Sportsnet Ontario? I just tuned in to catch the Sens/Bolts game and I'm getting nothing but blank screen. Usually when a game is blacked out, I get a message to that effect, but not this time, so I don't think it's that? Oh, and why the hell is Tampa starting Grahame after Burke's performance last night?

I've never understood the point of coating the skin of a baked potato in salt. Outback isn't the only place to do that.

Given that the top 3 has to be Austin/McMahon, Hogan/Andre and Bret/Austin, I'd definitely say that Austin/Rock deserves to be in the top 10, knocking out Austin/Michaels. I'd probably also put Savage/Warrior in and knock Bret/HBK down to 11 or 12, but that's just personal preference. And I still think leaving Hogan/Perfect off the list entirely was a huge oversight. No one my age who watched wrestling in the late 80s will ever forget Perfect smashing Hogan's belt to pieces on Saturday Night's Main Event. Or the Genius beating Hogan, for that matter.

There's way more than that to the feud, though. There was the awesome stuff they did in 97 over the IC title (with Rock uttering one of the five greatest lines ever heard on Raw: "The Rock thinks you should fire him, Vince"). Then there was the stuff they did around WMXV with Rock as the Corporate Champion (they main evented WM and Backlash). All of that laid the foundation for the X-7 match.

College Hoops: NCAA Tournament Rounds 1 and 2

The Sports Guy summed up my feelings on last night's selection show quite nicely (in my sig). -
Yeah, I'll take Denver.

I have no shot. I'm basically flipping coins 50 times or so.

I'm rooting for the Rangers. Well, really, I'm rooting against Carolina, but same difference.

I wouldn't put Bret/Shawn in the top 10 (maybe not even top 20), let alone the top 5. There really wasn't ever much of an onscreen feud at any point in their history. Let's look: - They did the Survivor Series 1992 match without any real buildup. - The WMXII match was face/face, and they were kept apart for the most part until the match. - They were supposed to do the KOTR 1997 match until Shawn got "injured" again. - And in late 1997, Shawn was the ref in Bret's 5th title win, but he was paired with Undertaker until the big Survivor Series 97 showdown. Sure, there was lots of behind-the-scenes stuff going on, but not much that the fans could get into as far as a feud. Hogan/Orndorff deserved a much better writeup, too, given that Orndorff was Hogan's beiggest feud in terms of money drawn.

I tip at buffets. The wait staff isn't any better off than at a regular restaurant as far as wages. I've read it's customary to tip $1-2 per person. I'm usually at the lower end of the scale.

You know, when I said that's what he thought during the Big 10 title game, I was mostly kidding. Packer has now become the man I most want to see removed from television.
-
I can see how that would be the trendy pick, but I don't think it's going to happen. I actually like Seton Hall. They're toughened up by the Big East schedule, they've had a bunch of good wins, and they've got upperclassmen at the guard spots. Plus, I don't think much of their region. They could easily go on a tear.
-
If it's a choice between Vitale and Packer, I choose death.

Looks like Memphis is getting that last #1 seed.
-
Yeah, I heard that. He also used that reasoning to explain why the MVC didn't deserve all the bids people are saying they should get. He probably doesn't think they should get any more than the automatic bid. If Packer was running the selection committee, you'd probably see every single team from the 6 power conferences that was eligible for postseason play getting a bid. Fucking elitist.

If that's true, Temple goes from a school I don't like to a school I REALLY don't like. I'd be happy if Huggins never got another job.

Same with the Big 10 title game. About the only thing at stake here is whether Ohio State is the last 1 seed or the first 2 seed.
