Now let's gather around the Festivus pole for the feats of strength.
-
I figured something like that. Thanks.

Will you be posting the standings before the end of the contest?

Even though I KNOW I could score a cheap win by just picking all the home teams, karma dictates that I run my winning streak to seven the honourable way... Denver - 30 Tampa Bay Cincinnati Carolina New Orleans Jacksonville N.Y. Giants Cleveland Kansas City St. Louis Miami Philadelphia Seattle Denver Chicago Minnesota New England

That's a very good point. Maybe every word was "UHHHEEEHHEHUHHAH".

8th out of 30 is a past glory? I was undefeated in school in spelling bee. Won it three straight years before we moved away.
-
I vote A, and I want to keep my team. Picks later.

Mark. The quality wasn't high. Blake choked like a bitch. But, that's what happens with those lousy Americans. ***1/2, just because Andre, our Lord and Savior, carried him. Note that I didn't say it was highest-quality tennis. It did entertain the hell out of me, though.

They're not buzzed immediately because they can go back and respell the word if they realize they're spelling it wrong. The word isn't spelled until the contestant says the word for the second time (e.g. with mnemonic, it's not spelled until the contestant says, "mnemonic, m-n-e-m-o-n-i-c, mnemonic").

Reports have Bertuzzi on the team (WTF???) and Crosby not.

1. USC/Notre Dame - Words can't do this justice. Certainly the most thrilling game in college football since Miami/OSU, and possibly the biggest in the last 15 years. 2. The Masters, final round - Not a game per se, but definitely one of the most exciting sporting events this year. Tiger's chip-in on 16, with the ball pausing on the edge of the cup before falling, will be replayed until the end of time. 3. Andre Agassi vs. James Blake, US Open quarterfinal - This was, quite possibly, the most thrilling tennis match I've ever seen. 4. Detroit vs. Miami, NBA Eastern Conference final, game 7 - Two great teams trading punches right down to the end. 5. Ottawa at Toronto, NHL season opener - Finally, hockey's back.

Watch and see. The writers clearly have a long-term plan all mapped out. I'm finding it really fun to be kept guessing. This is the best new show this season. Yes, that includes My Name Is Earl.

Oh shit, not another one. Considering how heavily into drugs he was at the peak of his career, let's hope he doesn't go the same route as Eddy (dying from probable drug-related problems long after he cleaned himself up).

Who even thinks of these things?? Who was the legendary creative mind that came up with Tim White, of all people, killing himself??? On a lighter note, people are going to be pretty shocked to see Timmy walking around the neighbourhood tomorrow. Maybe WWE will put him in witness (witless?) protection or something.

World Wrestling Entertainment...for over 50 years, the revolutionary force in tastelessness and depravity.

At least now we don't have to listen to the usual gang of idiots debate whether the Colts should rest their starters at Seattle next week. Whoops, big play for the Colts. Miracles happen, right?
-
Wave bye-bye to the perfect season.
-
Wow, that knocked them out of FG range.

And now an end zone INT by Brees. I'm telling you, NO ONE wants this game.
