I'm a bit curious...no mention of Bob Backlund vs. Iron Sheik? I just watched it and thought it was pretty good, with some decent psychology by Backlund with the injured arm.

Not if he has an earth-shattering season. If he rushes for over 2000 and 20 TDs, he'll get a lot of consideration, whether Oklahoma is 11-1 or 6-6. Of course, if he goes for those numbers, they'll probably be a lot closer to 11-1 than to 6-6 anyway.

I was about to retort that there's no way Notre Dame will go 12-0 next year, but then I looked at their schedule. They sure have eased up...they get Michigan, Penn State and UCLA in South Bend, and only Michigan State and USC shape up to be credible opponents on the road. Still, I don't think they go 12-0.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2252252 About time. He hasn't deserved to be a head coach for awhile now.

Denver - 28 Chicago Cincinnati Tennessee Indianapolis New England Oakland Minnesota Carolina N.Y. Giants Seattle Washington Denver Dallas San Diego Green Bay Atlanta Forgot...I'm in for next year. As for new rule suggestions, the only one I can think of is to go to "confidence picks," where you rank each game from 1 to 16 (or 14) , and your score is the total score of all your correct picks. That's a pretty radical change, though.

No. Get with the program.

Hmmm, undefeated #2 Texas is getting pounded by the undefeated #1 team in the country. I wonder if that's a sign...
-
That doesn't mean anything. Their division sucking is why they have a playoff spot so early. Indy has just run out so far ahead of the field...there isn't anyone that compares to them in the NFC.

Easily Sakic. He'll have the most experience of anyone there, and is a huge presence in the locker room.

The original TSM braindead troll. Ah, the memories...

I saw him looking like that a few months ago. Just another reason why Vince isn't going after him; he doesn't want anyone who doesn't look like they did when they were wrestling for him.

Fantastic game in Vancouver last night. The Canucks figured out how to beat the Sens -- make them commit about 15 penalties and have them spend half the night in the box, so they can't get any good scoring opportunities. Even then, they only won 3-2 in a shootout.

It's $500 now. Yes, I'm a huge dork.

Isn't this just wonderful...Soriano has said he won't play in the outfield. That's not him expressing a personal preference, that's him flat-out refusing to play outfield: "Obviously, I have the control. Of course I'm not going to play the outfield." So now the Nationals have two starting second basemen, one of whom looks to be a malcontent, and are short an outfielder. Nice trade.

SUN, DEC 4 Tennessee at Indianapolis 1:00 PM Green Bay at Chicago 1:00 PM Jacksonville at Cleveland 1:00 PM Minnesota at Detroit 1:00 PM Dallas at NY Giants 1:00 PM Tampa Bay at New Orleans 1:00 PM Buffalo at Miami 1:00 PM Cincinnati at Pittsburgh 1:00 PM Atlanta at Carolina 1:00 PM Houston at Baltimore 1:00 PM Arizona at San Francisco 4:05 PM Washington at St. Louis 4:05 PM NY Jets at New England 4:15 PM Denver at Kansas City 4:15 PM Oakland at San Diego 8:30 PM MON, DEC 5 Seattle at Philadelphia 9:00 PM Three HUGE games this week. Which is the bigger game, Bengals at Steelers or Cowboys at Giants? I'd say the latter, since there's a lot on the line for both teams in terms of just make it to the postseason. Strange to see a Broncos-Chiefs game be only the third-biggest game of the week.

Obsessed With Wrestling says some guy named Marty Hamilton is playing Doink in Minnesota.
-
Tanguay and Marleau won't be there. Bertuzzi is a big question mark -- I personally wouldn't take him. Doan, I dunno. I also think they'll only end up going with two of the three Lightning. If only two of the three young'uns are picked, Staal will probably be the guy left home.

Randolph Morris is ineligible to play for UK this season: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2252746 Looks like the SEC is Florida's to lose now.

Blue Jays are now taking with Texas about getting Wilkerson for their RF spot.

With Yzerman and likely Lemieux not on the Olympic team, it looks like Team Canada will select all three of Jason Spezza, Eric Staal and Sidney Crosby, instead of having to choose only one or two.

Glad to see you're not making a show out of it. He wants to make a show out of it? Then I can too. Nice to see you're taking the high road, as always...

I'm quite surprised that Quinn was not invited. The only reason I can think of was that he was way down in the voting, which I didn't expect at all.
