This. I always pick up an Almond Joy when I'm in the States because I can't get them up here.

2008 World Series: Philadelphia Phillies vs. Tampa Bay Rays

I believe last night's game was the lowest-rated WS game ever. More people watched what was on CBS. -

I have a feeling that a post about the actual ratings might be a bad idea at this juncture. -
That's what Costco's for.

Now they're saying Peyton had a second knee operation due to a staph infection. WTF is going on here?

Whoa, I'm on the winning side of the Thursday night game for once.

No Serge Savard, either. Thank God Pierre Mondou's on there, though.

Woody Paige needs to be taken out behind the barn.

Stajan was interviewed after the first period. I was surprised he could even string a couple of sentences together.

I think I get it with the college football package I have. If not, that would suck more than anything has ever sucked.

Link, so I can mock thoroughly?

They do manage it at Staples Center. And if there's anywhere that could hypothetically support a second franchise, it's Toronto. But really, who would support it?

1. He probably won't be as well dressed. As far as football goes, very little. Unlike the Rams, who have several very good players, the Niners just don't have the personnel to be competitive week in and week out to think that a coaching change would make a difference. 2. Yeah, they're in deep shit already. Tennessee is going to run over them all night long, and probably well into Tuesday. A loss would put them probably two games back of a wild-card spot, and I don't see them making a run at the playoffs if that happens. 3. Yeah, they're in deep shit already. The defence is not good, and they lost their best defensive player last week, so it's only going to get worse. I said last week that this season has all the hallmarks of Owens' second season in Philly, and I haven't seen anything that would make me change my mind on that score. 4. Why should they? Pretty much every single town in England has a soccer team to obsess over. American football is just a weird sport played with an oddly shaped ball where nothing is going on much of the time. 5. For St. Louis - keep playing hard, keep featuring Steven Jackson and don't turn the ball over. For New England - don't go into this game thinking these are the Rams from September.

Well, at least one good thing came out of last night. This week's results: San Diego 5-7 Buffalo New Orleans 5-6 Carolina Minnesota 6-5 Chicago Pittsburgh 7-6 Cincinnati Tennessee 7-8 Kansas City Baltimore 7-5 Miami San Francisco 8-5 NY Giants Dallas 9-5 St. Louis Detroit 6-6 Houston (Hou wins by tiebreak) Indianapolis 7-5 Green Bay NY Jets 7-6 Oakland Cleveland 6-7 Washington Seattle 4-6 Tampa Bay And the shame of the week: Denver 4-4 New England (Den wins by tiebreak 17-27)

It's looking a lot like all I can hope for now is that New England goes for 40.

That was one of the more horseshit offensive PI calls I've seen.

I'd disagree. These days, it's Sens 1, Leafs 1A, Habs 1B. A lot of the lukewarm fans have been jumping to the Habs bandwagon. Probably true. From what I've heard, the city was split about 2-1 between the Leafs and Habs before the Sens became relevant.
-
In Ottawa, the Senators are #1, and the Leafs are #1A.
-
True, but there are still six weeks to go. They need help, sure, but they're still in the picture. The computers seem to like them, which helps their cause. They're fifth in the computer average, and none of the computers has them lower than seventh.

Phillies in 6. Just a feeling. -
Unfortunately, they can't. NCAA rules prevent conferences with fewer than 12 teams from holding a championship game, whether they want to or not. It's why the ACC was able to immediately schedule a title game when they raided the Big East for their three additional teams.

One of the few foods I can make exceptionally well. Mine goes sauce on the bottom, then three layers of pasta, sauce, cottage cheese and mozzarella cheese.

If they beat Penn State they'll still have an outside shot.

Fourth, one spot ahead of USC.
