What about Golden State? They're not looking too bad, despite not having beaten anybody of note.
-
Two bets today: $66 on Northwestern -14.5 (they finally covered late in the fourth) $22 on Toronto/Atlanta (NHL) over 7 +105

Why is Michigan going for two up by four? They made it, but still.

If You Were A Wrestler, What Accomplishments

I'd like to retire while still alive and having full control over all motor functions. That seems to be about as probable these days. -
Minnesota is getting wiped out at Iowa. The Gophers just scored to close to 35-7 near halftime.

This is an awful week to be picking against the spread... Denver - 33 St. Louis Carolina Dallas Indianapolis Jacksonville Cleveland New England Oakland N.Y. Giants Tampa Bay Seattle San Diego Denver Pittsburgh Kansas City Minnesota

I'm going to Montreal Sunday to see it in IMAX. Should be fun.

What am I missing here? The guy's on pace for 80 points.

I'm starting to think that this is more than a shitty start ... it's going to be an all around shitty season. Hopefully, if nothing else, it'll be bad enough to cost MOC & Sullivan their jobs. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe, but you're still stuck with Harry Sinden.

Worst 2-Hour or More NITRO or RAW...

nWo Nitro was abysmal. -
As I posted in the other thread... 1) Luongo 2) Brodeur 3) Belfour

I like this one a whole lot.

I got to experience that horrifying feeling that you only get to experience when someone on a losing basketball team jacks up a meaningless shot as the buzzer sounds, that would cause them to beat the spread and make you lose your bet that you otherwise figured you had in the bag. Luckily, Mike James didn't have very good aim. 76ers -4.5 comes in.
-
I picked Belfour for the same reason he was picked in 2002 -- he knows he's the third goalie, and he's perfectly OK with it. Someone like Turco or Theodore might not have as easy a time knowing they'll never get into a game unless someone gets hurt.

McCabe has a shot. It'll probably come down to him, Sheldon Souray and Chris Phillips for the last D spot. My other 6 defensemen so far: Redden, Niedermayer, Blake, Jovanovski, Pronger, Foote. Remember that the more experienced guys are going to get the benefit of the doubt a lot more than others would. Lemieux will be on the team for this reason as well. Yzerman I'm not so sure about. The rest of my team: LW - Kariya, Smyth, Gagne, Shanahan RW - Iginla, Sullivan, St. Louis, Heatley C - Lemieux, Crosby, Sakic, Spezza, Richards G - Luongo, Brodeur, Belfour Alex Tanguay would probably be my first replacement forward. Does anyone else think Canada should be able to field two teams, like they can in bobsledding?

I voted from 1996-2000. After that, I was only watching WWE for the most part (as opposed to all 3 US promotions), so I didn't really see the point in voting for what would have been the WWE awards. Apparently, a lot of people agreed with me, as voter turnout dropped like a stone from that point on. Is CRZ still running them?

The only person I thought of when reading that bit was Angle. The funny thing is that they could have printed that two years ago and I would have thought of the exact same person. It may sound callous to say this, but unless someone intervenes (and I can't imagine who that someone would be), I'd be surprised to see Angle around to ring in 2008.

As long as no one remembers that they just lost 9-0 to the Thrashers.

God, I hope we don't have to play Carolina in the playoffs.

ESPN Radio Host makes comments on passing
CanadianChris replied to Paul Stanley's topic in The WWE Folder
As soon as I saw my post in print, I knew it wouldn't come across as I'd intended. It was meant to show what a completely moronic comment Cowherd made when he said that no one cares, rather than comment on the state of his own life. -

I just re-watched Chris Benoit's segment from last night's Raw. Cowherd wishes he could find one person who would react that way to his own death. -
Sergei Fedorov just got traded to the Blue Jackets.
