ANOTHER special teams TD for Minnesota. They now have a kickoff return for a TD and a punt return for a TD, both in the same quarter. Plus they have an interception return for a TD. They're leading 21-13, and their offense hasn't put a single point on the board.

It's standard procedure in the media. You don't want to leave yourself open to ridicule (at best) or a lawsuit (at worst). -

The Impact of Eddy's Death on the WWE

I don't think so. Everything I've ver seen about Benoit shows that he's consumed with his craft. And, not to sound insensitive, but he's lost people he's been close to before (Pillman and Owen) and has managed to go on. He may go to Japan to get away from things, but I don't think he quits wrestling altogether. -
The Impact of Eddy's Death on the WWE

They need a dependable guy to take the belt and keep them moving forward until they can right the ship. That's Chris Benoit. No one else on the roster is close to being in his position, except maybe Booker T, and I can't see them putting the belt on a heel. -
ANOTHER big Minnesota special teams play to start a half. First half they recovered a fumble on the opening kickoff, second half Koren Robinson scores on the opening kickoff.
-
That's the first time I've ever seen that in American football in my life. I didn't even think it was in the rulebook.

Giants turn the ball over on the opening kickoff.

Oh my God. I'm completely shocked. This is unbelievable. RIP Eddy.

Figures I'd miss that. Back to the drawing board... EDIT: Here's the Big Atlantic playoff scenario... Four important conference games remain: Georgia Tech vs. Rutgers, Connecticut vs. Virginia, Miami vs. Virginia, and Miami vs. Troy. Already in conference: Georgia Tech holds wins over Syracuse and Miami, Virginia holds a win over Georgia Tech, and Syracuse holds wins over Miami and Virginia. The championship game will be... Virginia vs. Georgia Tech if Virginia wins out and Georgia Tech d. Rutgers. Virginia vs. Syracuse if Virginia d. Miami and Rutgers d. Georgia Tech, or if Virginia d. UConn, Rutgers d. Georgia Tech, Miami d. Virginia and Troy d. Miami. Georgia Tech vs. Syracuse if UConn d. Virginia and Georgia Tech d. Rutgers, or if Virginia d. UConn, Georgia Tech d. Rutgers, Miami d. Virginia and Troy d. Miami. Miami vs. Syracuse if Miami wins out and Rutgers d. Georgia Tech. There are two interesting cases... If UConn d. Virginia, Rutgers d. Goergia Tech, Miami d. Virginia and Troy d. Miami, then Syracuse is in the championship game, and will play Miami if Georgia Tech loses their remaining nonconference game, or whichever of Miami or Georgia Tech is ranked higher in the BCS otherwise. If Virginia d. UConn, Georgia Tech d. Rutgers, Miami d. Virginia and Miami d. Troy, there would be a 4-way tie at 6-2, with no team going 3-0 against the other three. In this case...well, let's not think about it. The only thing for sure is that Syracuse is in the championship game if they win out under this scenario.

Another Sens blowout of Buffalo last night. They've won all three games this season by a combined score of 21-5. Also, Heatley's point-scoring streak hit 15 games, Alfie now leads the league in scoring (15-16-31) with a goal and two assists last night, and the Sens are now averaging 5 goals a game.

TV games in my area today: Minnesota at NY Giants, 1 Kansas City at Buffalo, 1 New England at Miami, 1 Washington at Tampa Bay, 4:15 St. Louis at Seattle, 4:15 Meh. I'll probably watch the Giants game. It looks to be the best of the bunch. The Rams/Seahawks game could be good too.

Why FSU still in the top 20? Yesterday's loss was pretty bad. Come to think of it, none of their losses were particularly good. I think Boston College deserves to be in there more than FSU, even though BC lost to them head to head. FSU is clearly not the team they were at the start of the season.

See below.

Thank God, I actually won one today.

Iowa State with the INT->TD to deny Colorado.

I have the money line on Auburn (+130). You watch -- UGA is going to kick a game-winning FG and we're all going to lose.

Bored said it was really close this year, though.

I'm going to be very interested to see how the picks for/against shake out. Any one of the teams ranked 2-5 could be #1 right now.
-
Oy. Again, why do you care? Why should that matter? Do you honestly expect everyone to agree with your point of view all the time? The bottom line is, they went undefeated and beat the designated #2 team in the national title game to win the undisputed national championship. If that isn't enough for you -- if you need EVERYONE across the country to see their greatness as much as you obviously do, then you're in for a pretty unhappy life, because you'll never get everyone to see it your way in pretty much anything that comes along in life. Rant over. Enjoy the rest of the thread.

Anyone else watching the ASU/UCLA game? Very entertaining so far.

But championships bring their own respect! What difference does it make whether fans of other schools give you "respect" or not? YOU WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP!! THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS!!!
-
Here is a completely serious question...why do you care about whether the Big XII gets respect? It's not like there's some award for best conference that all the schools can share in. It's just an arbitrary grouping of schools.
