It's hardly punishment when you could've won JUST ONE more game out of 162 in the regular season. Plus, it would give one team two chances to win one game. That doesn't strike me as being fair.

To answer a question from a week or two ago, here's how the tiebreaker works in a three-team tie with two from the same division: I don't hate it, but it still bugs. This ends the well-established practice of one-game playoffs counting in the standings.

I liked it enough that I'll tape the midnight showing on NBC Seattle. It had some pretty funny moments.
