Didn't Edmonton win? Explain.

That was beautiful.

He's facing the bottom of the order. He should be OK. Papi hit his 43rd HR to tie the A's.

What do you miss most about "Classic" Wrestling?

It beats seeing a top-half guy like Christian lose twenty-five televised matches in a year. Squash matches served a purpose; they let guys get their moveset and character over without having it be at the expense of a name guy. -
Yeah, if the Roadblocks were even in TAR5, I think the Bowling Moms would've had a real shot at winning. For two fortysomething women, they were awesome at the physical challenges.
-
It could happen. Just pray that Louisville doesn't tank the Big East.

Now that the draft is over, rate your roto team. C - Vincent Lecavalier, Jason Spezza, Saku Koivu LW - Markus Naslund, Fredrik Modin, Chris Simon RW - Michael Ryder, Matthew Barnaby, Petr Sykora D - Zdeno Chara, Wade Redden, Dan Boyle, Kim Johnsson, Igor Ulanov G - Curtis Joseph, Rick DiPietro I couldn't be happier with mine. I'm a little weak in goal, but I think I'm as strong as anyone on defense, and my forwards are pretty good as well. I was hoping I'd draft near the front so I could get my hands on Naslund, and it worked out.

Randy Johnson just got tossed in the second for swearing at the ump after a close call by the home plate umpire. And the announcers have been saying how tired the Yankees bullpen is all game.
-
I don't question their coaching as much as their talent. I just don't think they have a roster that can compete night in and night out. Joseph will probably keep them in a lot of games, but they have only two goal scorers that are even semi-proven, and and one of them is 41 years old.

Squash matches and jobbers. Every match now is between "name" wrestlers, and it makes the bigger events less special. Plus it leads to the even-steven booking we have now, which leads to really bad feuds. -
Pythagorean record: Cleveland 86-60 Oakland 86-60 LA Angels 84-62 Chicago 83-62 NY Yankees 81-64 Boston 81-65 Toronto 79-66 That last one kills me.

Just a reminder that the roto draft is tonight at 8:30 EDT. I have no idea who to select, so I should be easy pickings.

Yeah, Colin was legendary. There'll never be another Colin. I enjoyed watching season 5 a lot more knowing how it all turned out. Colin was more funny than annoying. Between "I'M PACKIN' IT!!!" and "My ox is BROKEN!! This is BULLSHIT!!", he was comedy gold.
-
Exactly. I mean, how many cries of, "Are we there yet?" can parents stand before they just turn the van around and go home?
-
Bored, did Edwin and I have the Miami/Kent matchup different? I have five teams in my row and he only has four.
-
Dunno, but it didn't happen today. The Yankees were down by 4.
-
That sucks. Season 5 peaked, though, with Colin vs. the Ox. Undecided about rewatching season 6...it was easily the worst season to date (although I expect that won't be true for long). Lori and Bolo were fun to watch, though. And the boob quotient was pretty high.

It wasn't just the crowd, although Warrior actually pushed them in that direction by making such a big deal out of Hogan as he was leaving. The end of that match was where Gorilla Monsoon first referred to Hogan as "The Immortal Hulk Hogan." Warrior wins the match, and HOGAN is immortal? Unreal.

Except Cleveland is now only 5 behind Chicago because the White Sox have been awful since August and blew a 5 run lead at KC to lose 10-9. Jason <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, I wrote that when Chicago was up 9-7 in the bottom of the 9th, thinking these were the Royals and there's no way they'd put up 3 runs to beat the supposed best team in the league. I would LOVE to see Cleveland pull a 1995 Mariners and catch them for the division.
-
No change in any of the AL races, except that Oakland is now 3 1/2 behind Cleveland for the wild card.
-
Most of the home teams suck, though.
