Good thing I backed off Washington. That was a head-scratcher.
-
Hm, a lot fewer on Washington than I figured: Minnesota - 2 New Orleans - 2 Washington - 2 Indianapolis - 1

Wow, I'm going to get some crappy games out at my parents' house for Thanksgiving dinner today. Looks like Jets/Bengals, Raiders/Saints, Bears/Falcons and Packers/Seahawks.

What am I bid for Gerber? Anyone?

A winner is me! Finally above .500, too.

The Things That Anger You Thread.

I pass that theatre on the highway all the time. Only 6 screens? It looks like it should hold a lot more than that. -
Geez, every time I hear Boomer Sooner I keep expecting JR to be introduced.

It's not, but the sports fans there are.

I sure as hell didn't see a 6-goal game for the Canucks coming.

Red Sox in 6. I really don't care either way, I like both these teams.

2008 NLCS: Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Philadelphia Phillies

Phillies in 7. I really think this is the year the drought ends for the city of Philadelphia. -
You're using "devastating" ironically, right? See, I thought the rest of the post would make it obvious. Yes. Yes, I was. Thought so, but I'm sick right now, so a bit slow on the uptake. Without Gramatica, the Saints probably win in Denver and aren't in near as bad shape as they appear to be right now.

I'm not really in the mood to poke fun at Baylor after reading this stellar Simmons article: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...=simmons/081008

New York >>>>>>>>>>>>> New Jersey. at the "compromise" to live in Brooklyn. Also at Ted having to go to the bathroom to take a "huge New Jersey."

1. Interesting question. No one's really having a breakout season. I think I'd have to go with Eli Manning right now -- he's playing with confidence and poise that very few would have expected a year ago at this time, and never seems to make a big mistake. As much as I hate to say it, Brett Favre is up there as well, along with Jay Cutler and Tony Romo. 2. LaDainian Tomlinson has been hurt, and seems to have lost a step. Darren Sproles isn't as good a running back as Michael Turner. Truth be told, I have no idea, since the only Chargers game I've seen so far was the one where they tore apart the Broncos. 3. Not as much as you might think. The Colts beat Minnesota, another strong defensive team with a solid running game and suspect passing attack, on the road in week 2. No reason to think they couldn't do it again. If Indy can keep it close going into the fourth quarter, I expect them to win, as Baltimore seems to have trouble closing out good teams for whatever reason. 4. Probably until the end of the season. The Lions probably know this is another lost season anyway, and I don't know that they have a good replacement waiting. He won't be around to coach in 2009, though. 5. Certainly. The 2000 Ravens proved that. With the AFC as wide open as it is now, the Titans have just as good a shot as anyone to make a deep run, particularly if they can win the division and get a home game or two.

No it won't. No one in the public service is allowed to ask you for your party affiliation.

My riding is pretty much a guaranteed Tory seat, with John Baird running.

That was a .7 cpac. True, but after seeing the highlights, it was well-earned.

Game 1 rematch, Lackey vs. Lester.

Once again, I won my matchup but am marked down as having a loss. I suspect 909's hand in this somehow.

Kerry Collins is looking a lot like Kerry Collins so far. Two interceptions on the Ravens' side of the field.
