The Senators may be looking to trade Wade Redden. If that happens, I shall be...irritated.

That's McBride. I've seen a couple of episodes; it's pretty good. I don't think it's on A&E, though.

23 by the 1961 Phillies (read it in the Royals-Mariners recap).

I never really thought much of Season 4. It was just there. The most memorable thing about it is the most awesome contestant description in the history of reality TV: MILLIE & CHUCK Dating 12 Years | Virgins

Incidentally, the fact that we have to wait seven months for another major sucks.

Weir's swing isn't the probleem. His putting has been ATROCIOUS. That's led to him pressing on his iron shots, feeling he needs to get it close to make a birdie, and making more mistakes. If he can get his putting back on track, he'll be a factor again.

With few exceptions (i.e. interceptions, sacks, and fumble recoveries), it's hard to quantify a defensive player's key contributions. Offensive players will get most of the glory in a numbers-driven world. I have no real problem with that.

Love the sarcasm but here's a comment thats not sarcastic... you're a moron. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Whoa, whoa, whoa...that's WAY too witty a comment for this thread.

The A's host the Angels in what looks to be the first really big series (at least in the AL) this year, starting tomorrow night. Who would have predicted two months ago that we'd be saying that? Also, the White Sox visit the Yankees and Red Sox in back to back series, in what could be an interesting preview of the postseason.

You have to have a certain mindset to close, though. You have to be on from the very start, because there's immense pressure from the moment you enter the game. And you have to have a very short memory, because you're going to blow a few saves from time to time. Not everyone can do it.

So don't trade him to the Cubs.

Singh doesn't drive it straight enough or putt well enough to win a US Open. I think Mickelson actually has the best shot of anyone if he decides to stick with the power fade off the tee. He can be good at the British Open, as last year showed. As for the US Open, well, he's finished second there three times in the last 7 years, so I think he could probably get it done eventually. Els needs to commit to one tour if he wants to win more majors. All the globetrotting is hampering his game. He's trying to be Gary Player, but Gary Player was one of a kind.

The Mets came awfully close in 1973, going 82-79, but no sub-.500 team has ever made the playoffs, and it's doubtful one will this year.

HHH now is officially part of creative team
CanadianChris replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in The WWE Folder
You can't possibly think it's a good thing for your top wrestler to be on the writing team, do you? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's not like this is the first time a company's tried this. Flair had the pencil twice while he was in WCW. His stint as head booker in 1989 was probably the company's best year before the nWo storyline. The problem isn't that the top wrestler is on the writing team, it's that that top wrestler is HHH. -
Third season finale is tonight. Watching this whole season, I actually didn't mind Ian and Teri nearly as much. And I actually disliked ShutUpFlo MORE, which I didn't think was even possible.

That's Gracie for you.

Should be a very interesting round tomorrow with Mickelson having backed up to the field. There are probably about 10 guys who can win tomorrow.

I thought I was the only one who caught that. I certainly didn't want to, either.

First two seasons are already out.

Top 5: - The Bret Hart/Steve Austin street fight episode, with Austin attacking Bret in the ambulance and Owen and Bulldog hunting Austin down afterward. - Mick Foley winning the WWF title. - The episode from Halifax, NS a few weeks before Summerslam 97, where HBK was named the guest ref for the Bret/UT title match at Summerslam. Also featured a kickass 6-man flag match between the Hart Foundation and Austin/UT/Foley. - Benoit and Jericho winning the tag titles from Austin and HHH. - Jericho's RAW debut. While I can't think of all of them right now, the next five would have all happened in 1997, with the ECW show from the Manhattan Center being among them, and probably the Bret/Sid cage match episode right before WM13.

They wanted to get fans interested in the current episodes of Law and Order, and they felt they could accomplish it best by releasing the most recent season, with more familiar characters. I'd assume they did it with SVU and CI just for uniformity.

14 months, 27 days (won June 2, 1987; lost August 29, 1988).

If she's brain-damaged, how'd she know enough to file the suit?

Pacers/Pistons. No, not really. I'd probably go with Yankees/Red Sox.

Why is it never enough to get yourself over? Why must you be someone's golden boy? Why do talentless lumps get endless opportunities to get over, while guys who can perform get (at most) one shot and that's it? This is why I'm not watching anymore. I'm sick of seeing people I like get buried, while people I can't stand get shoved down my throat.
