That's me. The worst is when they screw up and put mayo on it, then put the same toppings on a different slice of bread. THE TOPPINGS STILL HAVE MAYO ON THEM!!! When I eat a bag of M&Ms, I like to separate them into different colours, then eat each colour separately. I also cannot eat vegetables. I have very sensitive taste buds, and most veggies are way too bitter for me to get down without gagging. My wife insists on not having any foods touching on her plate. We both hate cream sauces. Dama is strange.

The Official World Hockey Championship Thread

ESPN never airs the Worlds. They have to be coerced into showing the Stanley Cup playoffs, and the Worlds attract fewer viewers. -
Wow, I can't BELIEVE I didn't take Chris Candido.

You know how pitchers have ERA+? I'd love to see a stat like HR+, that compares home runs to the league average. The home run should not carry nearly as much weight now as it did 30-40 years ago.
-
Oh, you do not.

5th, I think.

Saw this in the new ESPN.com Power Rankings: "4. Los Angeles Dodgers: Jeff Kent is showing more and more that when it's all said and done he's going to be among those in Cooperstown." And I said, "WTF???" Then I thought about it, and said, "WTF????? The only way Kent gets into the Hall of Fame is if he buys a ticket." I'd love to see a Keltner List on Kent to see if he's as far off as I think he is.

Berlin? He was the QB at Miami. So he's not far from home but seriously he was no good at Miami. Except maybe that game against Louisville. Who knows though.......has anyone just been absolutely AWFUL in college and just sucked hard and then become an NFL star? I'm not talking about mediocre I'm talking about a huge nobody that sucked. I wouldn't say Berlin sucked. He was merely OK. Some games he'd look great, and in others he'd look pretty bad. He's undersized for a QB (6'1"). I don't think he's got any shot of making the team, as I'd think Feeley gets the starter spot (I'm willing to give him the shot as the #1 guy), with Frerotte as the backup, and Rosenfels as the #3. Why is Rosenfels even still there? I have also never seen him play. I know that the Stasch was big on the guy, even though he never actually gave him a shot. He must suck though, I mean seriously you would have to suck to not get a chance last year. He started the Ravens game at the end of last season and was horrible. 16-38 for 246, with 3 picks and 2 fumbles.

Thing of beauty.

Hogan had T-shirts in the AWA with "Hulkamania" on them.

Here's the official explanation: "Late in regulation, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady initially was ruled to have fumbled while being hit from behind. However, after a review by instant replay, Brady was ruled to have thrown an incomplete pass because his arm was going forward and he had not tucked the ball completely into his body."

If ever you could make a case for one man singlehandedly killing a franchise for years, Tremblay would be the guy.

Something sounded different this time. I might have to watch the replay on Sunday.

I agree. He was a talented college QB who maximized his potential at OU. But when everybody in an NFL front office doesn't want to risk a draft pick on you, that has to say something about yur potential to play at the pro level. His limited mobility and inferior arm strength (I also saw one report say he had a slow release, which is DEATH in the NFL) made him someone no one wanted to use up a pick for. There's another way of looking at this, too -- if everyone thought he'd go undrafted, why spend a pick on him when you could work him out after the draft and answer any lingering questions you might have? Then again, he might be a better coach than player anyway. He seems plenty smart enough.

Did anyone else hear Phil emphasize that they have to START the next leg with no money (i.e. no begging in the hotel), or was that just me?
-
I actually remembered Brady, but no, I didn't count him.

I don't know why I'm even bothering getting into this, but time for a MikeSC special: KSU was crap last year and everyone knew it. Neither Oklahoma State nor Texas A&M had a decent defense. None of them would qualify as a stern test of the Sooners offense. No. But looking at a QB's final line in a blowout says nothing. Hell, he should have had better numbers than he ended up with. The Trojans had three scoring drives of ten yards or less. That's a result of turnovers, two of which were White INTs. NFL personnel guys don't draft or pass on people because of one good or bad play. And THIRTY-TWO NFL GMs don't pass on a guy seven times just because he threw a bad pick in the Orange Bowl.

Spoiled child = Bush It's not hard to interpret... Gotcha. *smacks forehead* Maybe they'll get anough publicity from this to be able to stop counting listeners on one hand.
-
I'm confused as to how anyone could interpret that specifically as being aimed at the President. I'm more confused as to how someone could think that was funny.

San Francisco 55, Denver 10. The devolution of the Blue Jays since 1993 ranks up there as well, as does four playoff exits in five years for the Sens at the hands of the Leafs.

Because their nickname is Big BLUE. I've never heard them called that, and one of my good friends is a die-hard Giants fan. G-Men yes, Big BLUE no. Google is your friend.

I thought Alexander Daigle would be the next Mario Lemieux.

I picked Chicago beating New England in Super Bowl XX. OK, I'm not very good at this.

Only two: Joe Namath (Alabama, 1964-1965) and Joe Montana (Notre Dame, 1977). Ken Stabler was a backup to Namath both of those years as well.
