I can. You can't make any money off it anymore, though.

No, Oldies 1310 is the Jays' Ottawa affiliate now.

My personal favourite thing to see in a casino is a guy who's obviously counting cards, but is losing his shirt, and THEN gets backed off. It's even better if the guy's just a horrible player who actually thinks he can win. Incidentally, what you describe applies mainly to Nevada casinos. In Atlantic City, it's illegal for a casino to bar someone for card counting. Besides, with the new automatic shuffling machines, card counting will likely become a thing of the past anyway.

http://toronto.bluejays.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...ex.jsp?c_id=tor They aren't. That SUCKS. And all of Canada is blacked out for Jays games on MLB.TV, too. Looks like a radio series, I guess.

Truer words were never spoken. Tiger ended up birdieing seven straight holes, tying a Masters record, while DiMarco predictably collapsed with a double-bogey on his very first hole this morning. Tiger is up three with one hole to play in the third round.

Well, Beane was onto something. He just kept the wrong guy.

David Wells is the early leader in the Worst Free Agent Signing race. Got smacked around on Opening Day, and just gave up three consecutive home runs to the Blue Jays.

If you could have one sport thing happen this year

I'd like that, but I chose to be a little more realistic with mine. Really, if the Jays match their win total of two seasons ago, I'll be very happy. Screw realistic! Ya gotta think big in this world! -

The Blue Jays passing the Yankees on the last day of the season to win the AL East and force the Yankees out of the playoffs. -
Alabama Gov looses support of 'Confederate' voters

My problem with this would be that the Emancipation Proclamation didn't actually free anyone, which seems odd if Lincoln really was so into the whole abolishionist movement, morally anyway. That old chestnut again? Lincoln knew he couldn't abolish slavery without a constitutional amendment. While working to make the amendment reality, he issued the Proclamation in his role as Commander-in-Chief. When the Northern army rolled through the South, the slaves followed them. It had the effect of freeing slaves everywhere as a result. The Proclamation itself may not have freed the slaves, but its impact on the war ended up freeing them anyway. In 1861 a proposed amendment to the Constitution would have explicitly stated that the federal government had no authority - ever - to interfere with slavery in states where it existed. Lincoln supported this saying. Which suggests to me he had no real interest in seeing the slaves freed. As a politician, it's sometimes necessary to support something you find personally distasteful for the greater good. Lincoln was trying to hold the country together at the time and stave off civil war. -
Funny thing...I didn't even notice that comment in the original airing. I did notice them saying that the oldsters would get lost, because "they're so stupid," which made me bring the hate some more anyway. What a couple of douches.

Damn. Part of me was hoping it was non-elimination just to see the Dudes keep racing in those outfits.

Yeah, they did the milking.

Alex is going to have serious trouble with the rest of the roadblock, though.

BIG BUCKS NO WHAMMIES!! The brothers are my favourite team EVER.

If he wins just one, it'll be the British at St. Andrew's.

"Hold." It is a statistic for middle relievers who entered the game in a save situation (up by three or less after the sixth inning), and did not collect the save, but left the game without surrendering the league. Tim Worrell did not get one because the Phillies had increased the lead to four when he entered. You forgot to mention it's one of the dumbest statistics of all time. Guy goes in with the bases loaded in the 7th, leading by 5, gives up a grand slam, and exits the game. He gets a hold.

"Can Jimmy play?" 0.8 Everest at least. That Molson ad gets a 0.7.

Ah yes. Perfect.

So within one calendar year, Phil Mickelson, the Boston Red Sox, and Roy Williams win championships. Who's the new poster boy for choking when it matters most?
-
They've still got some guys that can hit homers, they just haven't been. Hinske's living proof of that. That 2-run shot late was just a bomb to straightaway centre. Hey...WE'RE IN FIRST PLACE!!!

I remember turning 29. So long ago...
-
What, you don't think that was memorable? I sure as hell remember it.
