    Best/Worst

I can't believe no one has mentioned the Cow Palace. I can't decide if it's really bad or really good. The Rosemont Horizon was another good name.

Hockey is the most exciting team sport

If you want a good workout sometime, try reffing a basketball game, especially if it's a two-referee crew. The refs do more running in an average game than the players.

Hockey is the most exciting team sport

Poker wasn't popular because there was no way to watch it without falling asleep, because no one knew what cards the players had unless there was a showdown. the reason poker is so popular now is because of the cameras that let you see the hole cards -- which was pioneered in England, and brought over to the World Poker Tour on the Travel Channel. The WPT created the poker boom long before ESPN decided to get involved, despite what they'd like you to believe.

    Championship Week

Southern Illinois lost in the MVC semis today, meaning one less at-large berth for everybody else.

They wouldn't be over either one of those teams. Kansas should still be a 1 or 2 seed, given that everyone else lost this weekend as well, and OK State is still a solid 2 seed. They've pretty much locked up a 3 at this point and can only improve.

    Championship Week

OU should win the Big XII tournament if they play like they're capable. Getting the 1 seed means Kansas and Oklahoma State would have to play each other in the semis. There's a 2 seed waiting for them if they can step up and grab it.

Drive thru or Walk in / Delivery or Pick-up

Walk in for fast food, delivery for pizza. I never go through the drive thru because fast food places get the order wrong so often, and it's a pain in the ass to go back and get it fixed. I just walk in and bitch them out on the spot if the screw something up.

Well, Illinois doesn't need to worry about whether a loss before the tournament would help them. Ohio State just beat them 65-64. Illinois just illustrated what could be their undoing in the tournament -- they shot just 38% from the field today.

Islanders era and Oilers era were one and the same, basically. The enire 1980s was the best era in hockey.

They finished 19-10 overall, with their biggest win coming against in-state rival and SEC bottom-feeder Tennessee. A 156 RPI and 266th rated strength of schedule will likely guarantee Chattanooga a 16 seed.

    When TV Shows get Serious

I remember that one...Ron got asked if he though he was better than the white guys, and his response was classic: "Only in football, basketball and track! And I won't even get into that personal endowment thing, 'cause I know how sensitive you guys are about that."
