It wasn't supposed to work! They wanted the team to fail in Montreal so they could move it to Washington from day one! I guess by that logic, it worked perfectly! True, but that's the point I was getting at. If you have a single entity controlling 30 teams, it's very possible some teams will be shown more favouritism over others. That was a completely different scenario. One entity owning all the teams would be different that the other 29 teams owning the 30th. Doesn't make it any better of an idea, though.

The committee will usually have contingencies in place to account for unexpected results in major conference tournaments. They would still have an hour before the brackets are released to tweak them, should the outcome of the Big XII championship game have any impact on the brackets. Usually, though, the committee knows who's going where going into Sunday's games, unless a team that's not on the bubble makes a tournament final and they have to radically readjust (say, if Nebraska were to win the Big XII).

It looks to be between them and Michigan State at this point. It'll depend on the conference tournaments...if MSU can somehow upset Illinois, that should earn them a 3 seed no matter what. If they get to the final, OU would probably have to make the semis to hang onto that spot.

NHL players are having enough trouble scoring 50 in an entire season...they'd need to score 50 in less than HALF a season to break the record. And I predict that Sidney Crosby won't have near the impact on the league that everyone predicts he will. I'm figuring him to be an Eric Lindros-type player.

Rome especially made me anrgy when he had Vince McMahon on the tv version of the last word back in 2000. He totally trashed pro wrestling in a cynical rude and mean way. Vince looked pissed. usually though I sorta enjoy Romes quips This thing is, though, Rome was right about pretty much everything he said.
