No way is OSU going to Lawrence and beating the Jayhawks. They lost to Texas and OU (both ranked) on the road already this year, and neither game was particularly close...they're not bucking that trend. Well that OU loss was like a wake up for them b/c they've appeared to be a different team since then. Plus with Jameson Curry now in the starting lineup they've been doing much better. And Kansas can be so inconsistent that I think they still have a shot. But who have they played? Before beating OU in the rematch in Stillwater (which I expected, being a home game), they had road games against Colorado and Baylor, and a home game against Kansas State. If they DIDN'T look a lot better in beating those three patsies, they would've been a lost cause for this season. Kansas plays big in big games in the regular season, especially at Allen Fieldhouse. They're going to stomp all over the Cowboys at home.

Call me an idealist, but it's depressing watching the media treating kids deciding where they're going to school like they would the NFL draft, with the kids being nothing more than hired help. I realize it's a two way street on the schools' and the kids' part, but glorifying it doesn't help things any.

Yes, now the Jays can finish third every season. Seriously, is there a worse division to play in in all of sports than the AL East? All jokes aside, I'm interested to see what Ricciardi can come up with for next season...that is, if they don't go after Magglio Ordonez right now.

It depresses me that this is a top news story every year around this time.

The who?

I care not. They own the team, they own the park, they can do whatever the hell they want. (ESPECIALLY since I don't pay for their shitty cable anymore.)

I'm just waiting for this whole interminable race to wrap up so we can get on with TAR 7...hopefully, with better decisions made in casting and logistics.

Just one more reason why the polls are ridiculous. They haven't beaten anyone of note all season, and anyone who loses to George freaking Washington doesn't really deserve a spot in the top 10. The real question now is, can Illinois run the table and finish with a perfect season? I think they can do it.

I always thought Exree Hipp was a funny name.

I saw the third episode Thursday while I was in Vegas and I kinda enjoyed it. I didn't think the poker scenes were worth much, though.

Canadian government to study legal ramifications of polygamy People are twisting the gay marriage debate around and perverting it for their own gain. What really gets me is that these people think that because some act is in their religion, that act should be granted full legal status. I'm sorry, but if my religion says I should perform a live human sacrifice, can I get that recognized under the law? It's absurd. All the law says is that everyone shall be treated equally. If no one can have more than one spouse, how are people not being treated equally?

http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/states_exp...ate15s_500.html Post how well you did. It depends a lot on which states come up first...if you get a midwestern state, you're in trouble.

No one's going to watch that. I mean, I LOVE watching poker and I wouldn't watch that.

Would 7-12, 4.78 be too much to ask? The Astros deserve to fall flat on their faces for offering that kind of contract.

Which QB has the most pressure on him this Sunday?
CanadianChris replied to KingPK's topic in Sports
McNabb, obviously. Brady doesn't have anything to prove, and the other two are playing in their first conference title game. If the Eagles lose this game, they would be lumped in with the Buffalo Bills of the sporting world (only worse, because they never actually made it to the biggest game). -
Finally...perfect in 216 seconds.

See how bad the logic is? Well, if this becomes a big deal, the real hypocrites will reveal themselves to be the people that were for gay marriage, and against this. I don't understand under which basis of logic can one be allowed and not the other. You're confusing the issue. How is there equality if people of one sexual orientation can marry, but people of the other cannot? Differences in sexual orientation or preference? That's not been shown yet, but either way, why can't someone who prefers to marry more then one person be denied when another man can marry a woman, or a man? How is there equality if some people can marry who they want, but if others want to marry more then one person, and they can't? What if all three (or four, or five) are perfectly happy together, and want to get married and can find a way to have the laws accomodate them? What's the problem in this? Why is it wrong for someone to marry more then one person, yet a person can change the definition to marry a person of the same sex? Why can't you change it again and change the laws to fit as such? I don't think I've ever had so many questions in one post. And they're all good ones. My main problem with this is the polygamists saying they have a "religious right" to have more than one spouse. If that's the main argument, they don't have a chance.

Nice try, Arte... http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1971201 I can't imagine the name change going through now that it's clear that NEITHER city wants it to happen.

Hearsay at this point, but the local sports radio station is reporting these items... - Wayne Gretzky has told the Coyotes that practices will resume next Wednesday. - Three teams have ordered equipment. - Team executives have been told to fly back to their respective cities.

I would've said that as well, but it's going to be really hard to screw up with their schedule over the next couple of weeks.

The answer to that question lies here: February 2: Duke @ Wake Forest
