Jim Kelly? You mean Frank Reich? And yes, for the record, that would STILL be an insult to Frank Reich to be compared to Jake Plummer. My bad. And yes, I wouldn't want to insult Frank Reich like that either.
-
35-10. I'd make the comparisons between this game and the Bills/Oilers game from 11 years ago, but I wouldn't want to insult Jim Kelly that much.

Well, Denver was right...it won't be 41-10 this time around. It's going to be WORSE.

Unbelievable.

Edited.

Any of the CHL leagues are good for me, with my preference being the OHL, having lived in Ontario for virtually my entire life. I try and catch the WHL and the Q whenever I can.

Yep, they're getting it done. They had a tough stretch this week with some winnable games at Boston and home to Chicago, but they managed to put the L's on the board. They're about to start a good stretch, with road games against the Grizzlies, Knicks and Pistons, plus eminently losable home games against the Kings and Blazers. They are now on pace to go 5-77.

This is true, unless you accept wads of money to play for the Rangers... ...or are named Alexei "Ca$hin" Yashin.
-
I saw that. I think they got 95 cents for it.

Are you talking about just this year? Because it's not true otherwise. In fact, the Jets would play the Patriots if the Jets and Broncos both won this weekend. The NFL has a TV contract with three broadcast networks (Fox, CBS and ABC) and one cable network (ESPN). Fox shows games involving NFC teams, and CBS shows AFC games. Inter-conference games are split depending on which conference the away team belongs to. ESPN shows one Sunday night game each week, as well as some other games at special times, and ABC shows one game every Monday night. ABC shows two playoff games, while CBS and Fox show one each, on the first weekend, and the rest of the playoff games are split by conference. The Super Bowl is shown by each of the broadcast networks on a three-year rotation.

Batista getting the belt now would be as bad as Hogan getting the belt in 2002. Just because the fans are majorly behind a guy doesn't mean you have to hotshot the belt onto him at the first opportunity. Sting and Luger were more victims of the bookers saying, "Well, he's champ...what do we do with him now?" I can definitely seeing Batista going down that road, especially with the writing team the way it is now.

See you in the second round.

Eh...prevailing wisdom was that Pete Carroll was clueless as a head coach until he got to USC. I'm interested to see what happens.
-
True. Problem is, are any of them going to be able to get past the rest of them without tripping somewhere along the line? It's going to take a really special team to make it to the Rose Bowl out of the ACC.

All of next year's changes: Boston College from Big East to ACC Louisville, Cincinnati and South Florida from C-USA to Big East TCU from C-USA to Mountain West Rice, SMU, UTEP and Tulsa from WAC to C-USA Central Florida and Marshall from MAC to C-USA Idaho, New Mexico State and Utah State from Sun Belt to WAC Florida Atlantic and Florida International from I-AA to Sun Belt Army (C-USA) and Temple (Big East) become independents

Good. Let's leave it at that.

Apparently, CanWest Global Communications thinks that they're the embodiment of Canada.

He does now...he's The Rock. Someone who people were tired of and bitching about when he was here full-time, then left and makes occasional one-off appearances that make people drool over him.

None at all: - reigning world champions (men's & women's) - reigning World Cup champions - reigning world junior champions - reigning Olympic gold medallists (men's & women's) What else is there?
-
Are you kidding? The only person who did better than me in the bowl contest is the person I was playing? Figures...

Wow. Hershiser is the only one I would even consider voting for out of all the first-timers. I think Sutter will get in for sure next year, and Gossage has a pretty good shot as well. (If only we could reverse that.)

I don't want to live in a world where Tony Perez gets voted into the HOF but Ron Santo gets shut out entirely.

A-10 surpasses non-BCS leagues in FB ratings

I don't think anyone was as spectacularly bad as Vandy, Kentucky, and the Mississippi schools. The ranking apparently rewards consistent mediocrity rather than polarization. -
Results for the VC vote are announced on March 2.
