Oklahoma was here two years ago, dumbass. ( I didn't get my licks in in the Hitler thread.)

What the hell else was he going to say? That he couldn't prepare or motivate his team?

Just keep making excuses. You spent the whole season saying the Big XII was just a step above the Big East and now that they are proving you wrong you can't stand it. Fact is that the 4th and 5th best teams in the conference got beaten by ranked opponents. The 2nd and 3rd best teams beat highly ranked media darlings and poor little media darling Cal got fucking embarassed by "lowly" Texas Tech. Big XII isn't overrated obviously and they proved it. End of story. My God...there's going to be three more days of this, isn't there? You just burned through all your goodwill you earned in the CE folder in about twenty minutes. Dude, the Big XII sucks; much like the Big Ten. There's OU and I guess Texas, then everybody else is shit. Texas didn't impress me at all. I kept hearing all week how Texas was going to blow Michigan out, and I beleived it. After seeing the Rose Bowl, Michigan should have won. If not for Vince Young, Texas would be on the level of a Colorado, or K-State. Yes and then Texas Tech beat the #4 team in the country that everyone says should've been in this game. No Texas Tech didn't just beat them, Texas Tech embarassed them. Well yeah, I'll give you that. But if they were so good, how come they weren't in a BCS game? Personally I think Cal sleepwalked through that game. They wanted the Rose Bowl but got shafted for the Holiday Bowl. Cal pretty much tanked that game, which is inexcusable. It's a shame we didn't get to see the Cal I've watched all season.

No chance of that. This game is so far off the map that you'd need Lewis and Clark to find it. Looks like it could be a pretty good game, though. Once they get warmed up, we could see as high-scoring a game as the Rose Bowl.

Ah, so you're a sore winner. Gotcha.

ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? This guy reminds me a bit of Michael Vick.
-
No no. There is excitement in their voices when Michigan scores but when Texas does it's like "yay whatever." Given that no one else notices it, I would say that IT'S JUST YOU.
-
Michigan is just shooting themselves in the foot on this drive. EDIT: Whoops, spoke too soon. The Howard strategy pays off.
-
It's just you.

Yeah!! Tie game at the half.
-
Wow. What a finish.

USC vs. Michigan in the ROSE BOWL has been and will always be total bullshit. Michigan has to travel miles and miles and go play in an awkward timezone, while USC plays in their own backyard with 20 times as many fans. They clearly have the advantage every time, even if they were to have a worse team. Give me a neutral site or give me death. What's UCLA's excuse, then? They're 5-7 in the Rose Bowl all time.

Brown has absolutely nothing left to accomplish in Detroit, and probably in coaching, period. And it shows.

Seedings for the AFC division winners are fairly simple: The HOU/CLE winner is #1, as Cleveland holds tiebreakers over all other clubs, regardless of whether there are 2, 3 or 4 tied teams at 10-6. The loser is #2 if DEN and BUF both lose, #4 if DEN and BUF both win, and #3 otherwise. Denver is #2 with a win, as they hold the tiebreaker over Houston (better conference record) but not over Cleveland (worse record vs. common opponents). They are #3 with a loss and a BUF loss, and #4 otherwise. Buffalo is #2 with a win and a DEN loss, as they would hold the tiebreaker over Houston if those two teams end up tied (better conference record). A win, a DEN win and a CLE loss would put them at #3, as Denver holds the tiebreaker over Buffalo (better conference record). Any other combination of results puts Buffalo at #4. The wild cards...I have NO idea.

My ballot: Blyleven Boggs Dawson Gossage (don't get me started again) Morris Rice Sandberg

Is that the Alanis Morissette definition of ironic? Denver - 27 Philadelphia Houston Tennessee Green Bay Miami Minnesota New Orleans N.Y. Jets Buffalo New England Seattle Tampa Bay Indianapolis Jacksonville San Diego N.Y. Giants

Meh. Not really dood. You see, even if I lose this week and we tie records wise, I still claim the bye since I've got the tiebreaker. So no, you don't have homefield advantage. I do. Would someone like to tell me what this "homefield advantage" is? It's not like anyone's significantly better than anyone else anyway.
-
This may be the best statement in this thread. Well done.
-
No. In fact, pretty much the entire province of Quebec has removed Canadian flags from public buildings, and no one says boo.
-
This has to be the toughest week of the year, just because you never know which of the playoff teams that can't improve their position are going to come out and play hard for pride's sake. Picks to come...

Over/under on Silicon Valley Bowl attendance: 472.
