You should tell that to the place I filled up at for 66 last night, then. -
That will likely happen whenever Amendment XXVIII gets passed.

I'd do that myself -- gas is even cheaper where I cross, as there's a Mohawk reservation right there -- but I live too far from the border to make it worthwhile. Gas is down to about 65 cents a litre here as I speak, though. where do you live, and how come its so cheap? Ottawa...but I spoke too soon; it went up to 80 cents again just a little while ago. -
Too sudden. I'm picturing restraints and rats.

Oh, sure, NOW Vince shoots down one of HHH's ideas.

Alabama amendment to remove Jim Crow law fails
CanadianChris replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
http://www.constitutionalreform.org/pdf/Up...t_Number_2.pdf: “Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, to repeal portions of Section 256 and Amendment 111 relating to separation of schools by race and repeal portions of Amendment 111 concerning constitutional construction against the right to education, and to repeal Section 259, Amendment 90, and Amendment 109 relating to the poll tax.” Basically, they're removing all references to segregated schools and poll taxes from the Constitution. Nothing on increased school taxes at all. -

What makes you think Bush wants to do anything about it? -

Be that as it may, that argument in and of itself can't be used to justify a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. There has to be some justification besides "the Bible tells us it should not be thus."

33 in New York is a lot, but that may not fully counteract losses in Louisiana (9), Mississippi (6), North Carolina (11), South Carolina (8), Florida (27), etc. They wouldn't lose the whole South BUT they may lose enough to cancel out the gains there and in New Jersey or Pennsylvania. But if they don't for Rudy- who do they vote for? The Democrat who will probably be pro everything else that Rudy is? I think the 9/11 factor would put Rudy over the top The discussion is moot anyway. I doubt he'd even get past the primaries.

They dropped off because they couldn't recruit anyone, because they weren't allowed to go to bowl games or appear on TV. Who would want to go play there? And, by extension, who would want to go coach there?

Didn't DC vote for Mondale as well?

I want so badly to believe that this is the real Kobe...the real test, though, will come when they fall behind to someone. Will Kobe continue to operate within the offence and let the game come to him, or will he start jacking up shots from the parking lot with three guys on him like last year? He made a believer out of me, though, at least for one night.

Dama was talking about in OU history. I don't recall Dorsey suited in the maroon and white. And I don't know what to say about that as I'm not well-versed in OU history to know if there was any better QBs there. Believe me, it's not a very storied list. Oklahoma's always been better known for running backs.

Precisely. I have a question. If you are not gay and it does not affect you, then why do you care? Name one way legalizing gay marriage will affect your life. It won't affect me, personally, but just as an ideal, I cling to the fact that a marriage is between a man and a woman. It's what I've always known and it's what I believe to be true. If gay couples want to have the benefits they want that come with being a couple, they should have them. But I just don't want to call it a marriage. What about the people in the eight states that banned civil unions as well as marriage, then?
-
Fun fact- The first gay marriage in Canada fell apart in record time but they are legally still together because the country never anticipated a gay divorce. Okay, when I said in the post above that "it's working", I meant "everything but the lack of a divorce law". That was so three months ago. Gay couples started being granted divorces back in September.

Isn't it a wash, given that they'd probably lose Texas in the process? Rudy's way too far left to be taken seriously in the South and Midwest.

You can't even see my original point, so this is my last word before I stop listening to anything you have to say on any subject: It's not about talent, it's about respecting fellow players. NHLers would be the first to badmouth Europeans if they came over and acted as replacement players, so the NHL players should actually practice what they preach and not take someone else's job. The NHL players are complete hypocrites on this issue.
