    Astros/Cardinals NLCS thread

Stros/Cards will go to FX like Sox/Yanks did Monday. Except Sox/Yanks was on the main network the entire time. I watched it.

    Astros/Cardinals NLCS thread

Bagwell ties it in the top of the 9th. Interesting question...what does Fox do if this game goes to extras and is still on when the Sox/Yanks game comes on?

    Astros/Cardinals NLCS thread

This is sad. The ALCS thread is getting more action, and this series is actulaly taking place right now.

    Why ESPN sucks

They're making it hard on people that actually want to sign up. I was told I needed a U.S. address because they throw in ESPN The Magazine, which they will only ship to U.S. addresses. No U.S. address, no Insider. Fools.

The ALCS: New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox

Lowe will be out by the end of the third, whether they touch him up or not. Wakefield will probably go another 3. It's going to be one of those games where everyone pitches for a bit, not letting anyone get too tired. I wouldn't be surprised to see seven or eight pitchers for Boston tonight.

I don't think so. They were throwing shit onto the field. That's not cool.

How on Earth has Tim McCarver lasted as an announcer as long as he has? I mean, he was doing color when I was watching the Blue Jays win World Series, and he was terrible then.

The ALCS: New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox

He came back and touched it after the ball went into the outfield. My last time on the subject: Interference happened before A-Rod got to first. A-Rod is declared out at the spot of the interference. A-Rod, then, never got to first base, and Jeter has to return to first, as it states in the rules.

I'll be interested to see how Francona handles the pitching in the 9th.

JUDGMENT. Jeter was at second base. You highlighted the wrong section. The last sentence is what applies in this situation, since A-Rod never got to first.

The ALCS: New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox

Here we go: INTERFERENCE (a) Offensive interference is an act by the team at bat which interferes with, obstructs, impedes, hinders or confuses any fielder attempting to make a play. If the umpire declares the batter, batter runner, or a runner out for interference, all other runners shall return to the last base that was in the judgment of the umpire, legally touched at the time of the interference, unless otherwise provided by these rules. In the event the batter runner has not reached first base, all runners shall return to the base last occupied at the time of the pitch.

But he did swat the ball. The play was dead.

The ALCS: New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox

It was a DEAD ball. You can't advance on a dead ball.

The ALCS: New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox

Of course he should. A-Rod knocked the ball out. The ball should never have gone to the wall, and Jeter should never have scored.

The ALCS: New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox

No, it's runner's interference. Rodriguez should be out, and Jeter should be at second. YES!!! They got it right. And it could be a forfeit if the fans keep being idiots.

The ALCS: New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox

I don't think hes complaining just because they lost. Had the Yankees lost these two games normally, and just couldn't get it done, fine. You must be new here. He complains just because they lose. Hell, he complains when they win poorly.
