Well, the worst PPV of all time is Heroes of Wrestling, end of discussion. But this is probably the worst Big 2 PPV of all time... The Great American Bash, 1991 From: Baltimore, MD Announcers: Jim Ross and Tony Schiavone PN News & Beautiful Bobby Eaton vs. Stunning Steve Austin & Terry Taylor Normally, this would be decent, as three of these guys were pretty good. But this was a SCAFFOLD MATCH. And not just an ordinary scaffold match, where someone takes a big fall to the mat, but a CAPTURE THE FLAG SCAFFOLD MATCH. No action, since all four of them don't exactly look thrilled to be up there. Crowd was dead (more on that later). Worst opener ever. The Diamond Studd vs. Tom Zenk Slow, plodding, with zero energy. This was Scott Hall before he became decent. Crowd is still dead. Oz vs. Ron Simmons And this was Kevin Nash before...well, he always sucked. Simmons got a bit of a pop, but the match was horrible. Robert Gibson vs. Ricky Morton The big blowoff for the breakup of the Rock 'n' Roll Express. Boy, did they pick a great PPV to put it on. LOOOOOONG boring match with Morton doing all mat-based work instead of the high-flying stuff. Crowd shit on it, of course. The Young Pistols & Dustin Rhodes vs. The Freebirds & Badstreet Freebirds spent the entire match just trying to get a reaction out of the crowd, and failed. Match was crap. Johnny B. Badd vs. Yellow Dog Yellow Dog was Brian Pillman under a mask, who looked worse than I've ever seen him. Still no reaction. Black Blood vs. Big Josh Lumberjack match. Bad match, but not as bad as what came before it. One Man Gang vs. El Gigante Next. Nikita Koloff vs. Sting This could have been a good match if it weren't a Russian Chain match. Sting gets a big pop. Plus, Sting phoned it in, like most others tonight. WCW World Title: Lex Luger vs. Barry Windham Title was vacant. Why? Well, because WCW, in what may go down as their most colossal mistake ever, fired the titleholder just days before the event and put Windham in his place. Luger had been built up for months beforehand, so everyone in America knew who was winning this match. Harley Race came out and they did a "heel turn" with Luger that went absolutely nowhere. And the match was horrible to boot. Oh, who was the titleholder, you ask? I'll let the crowd tell you...they finally woke up: "WE WANT FLAIR!!!" Yes, the crowd chanted for a guy not even in the match -- and the biggest heel in wrestling to boot -- for this entire match. Not only that, the crowd sat on their hands for the entire PPV, except for a couple of brief moments, deliberately, in support of Flair and to tell WCW how stupid they were. Add that to the fact that pretty much everyone on the roster dogged it in support of Flair, and that's why they called this the Flair Protest Show. Paul E. Dangerously & Arn Anderson vs. Missy Hyatt & Rick Steiner The punctuation point on a thoroughly crappy night. Arn looked like he could have killed someone with his bare hands. And THAT is the worst PPV ever.

About four months after I got my first car, I was pulled over for doing 135 in a 100 zone. The cop was nice enough to bump it down to 115 so I didn't get any demerits. Only other time was a night I was driving home from Montreal after an Expos game, and got pulled over because they thought my high beams were on in a residential neighbourhood. Dumb fucks.

That's what sucks about this incarnation of the BCS. If three or four teams go undefeated, whichever teams the voters thought was the best in the preseason are the ones that play for the national title. Who's to say that Miami's better than Oklahoma or not, or that Wisconsin's not playing the best football in the country? I DESPERATELY want there to be 3 undefeated teams from major conferences this season, just so they can show BCS 4.0 to be just as big a crock as every other version that came before it.
