Ah, yes, Arroyo and Wakiefield strike fear in my heart. Wakefield somewhat more than he should, I'll admit, but Arroyo? Not one bit. Yeah, but the Red Sox have two starters that range from "excellent" to "money." The Yankees this year don't have a single guy I'd want pitching for me in a Game 7 situation. Oh well excuse the fuck out of us. We scheduled the 3 non-conference opponents based off the fact that they all played in Bowl Games last season. Nobody knew they would suck total ass this year. Nebraska will be a challenge. Nebraska is always a challenge. OSU and A&M will be hard to. Jesus Flyboy what the hell do you have against OU anyways? And don't say it's b/c I like them so much. You seriously have some kind of hatred for them that I can't explain. ... I'm looking for the hatred, and I'm coming up blank. Their strength of schedule sucks, so they're ranked lower. Doesn't take someone with a "grudge" against OU to see that. Calm down.

They're waiting for a better timeslot -- they'll be slotting it in whenever one of their new shows gets cancelled. Apparently, CBS didn't want to give them the DEATH slot on Saturday night after seeing how well the show can do when it's you know, PROGRAMMED AND PROMOTED PROPERLY.

That's exactly the problem, and it's been cited in the past as a reason Vegas doesn't have a major league team. There's not enough interest among locals, given that there are a few other things to do in town. Well, that and the fact that you can't gamble on a Vegas team's games in Vegas. I would suspect that casino owners don't want a team for that reason...the casinos would take a hit if a Vegas team ever made it to a World Series, or Super Bowl, etc.

Gonna have to call you on this one. Gretzky is the greatest player hockey has ever seen. He completely changed the way hockey was played. It wouldn't have mattered where he played -- his talent in his prime (which I got to see all of firsthand) was simply unsurpassed. He had vision that no one else has ever, and quite possibly will ever, possess. And Richard could not possibly have touched any of Gretzky's scoring records...he never even scored 100 points in a 70-game season! How could he possibly get up over 200 in an 82-game season?

D-Backs beat Milwaukee 3-1 last night. Randy Johnson pitched 7 innings of 1-run, 5-hit ball and struck out 10 more. If he can win his last start this weekend and get to 16 wins, I think he's the frontrunner for the NL Cy Young.
